[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor Chapter 67 – Trying to upgrade my arms

So, with little choice if not any, I had no choice but to focus all my effort on hunting and leveling up.

Yea…. Shit.

The leveling up was quite fast though, its thanks to my extrely high [Taming Mastery] and [Necromancy Mastery] that I had to raise for my chiras. I can control a bunch of monsters or have so strong ones aiding .

However, more monsters ans that I would be getting less EXP, since I'm sharing my EXP with the tad monsters.

Still, these monsters do help out a lot and make hunting monsters way faster, so its overall worth it. However, to have max benefit I'm only using my elite monsters and so I tad so of the strongest wild monster I could handle.

Mountain Predator Mantis– A giant praying mantis monster with extrely sharp, tough and long blades for arms. High danger monster with high offensive power. Beside high offensive power, possess a very high defense as well as bit of agility, aning that it can swing its blades around fast and can sowhat dodge attacks.

Its straight up a mini boss monster.

Its rare monster and oh boy, they were stubborn like hell and it took hell of a long ti to ta even 1 of them. Still, thanks to my high [Taming Mastery] I was able to ta and add the mantis to my ranks.

Honestly, I doubt I would have been able to ta even one if there would be other others players around.

I hunted one before and I need to say, their materials are extrely useful. Not only their blades, but all parts of their bodies. Everything is useful and sells well.

If there was more players here, I doubt I would have chance of taming it without having other players bother . This thing is even more rare than red cobra monster. And oh boy, people were already fighting over the red cobras in the danger city. What would happened here?

Anyway, with the mantis and so of my elite monsters we were able to hunt way faster than before. The undeads and the poison magic were also doing their things, so there was a huge progress.

I was leveling up at steady rate, but not enough.

The mountain that is filled with the necrotic elent and undead monsters is quiet high level danger zone and I'm still not good enough to take it on.

To give even more annoyance, the city is now openly recruit people for the search party and thanks to the ore rchant Mario, I found out that they are getting even more desperate and they are hiring even more guards.

Now they not have put way more defense in the city, but have strengthen their search for the dwarf.

The ti is ticking.

(The mantis did the trick and the red cobra recently evolved to the hunter red cobra.)

(We are still well hidden and everything, but if they discover by any chance the necromancer base then we are royally fucked.)

(The hidden function is more for a finisher and situation than as main weapon…. Should I remove it and make room for sothing else?)

(No. The entire arms need to go and have different ability.)

(I can sohow have them base form of normal arms, since in order not to have two giant weapons sticking out of my body that straight up screams "Weird suspicious guy that is ard.".)

"Mantis blades?"

"I still have those from the first mantis I killed."

(Should I have my arm ability to turn into those mantis blades? That could work out extrely well with my fighting style.)

(But I could really make it look monster like…. I could make it so they would stick out from my wrist and transform my hands. It could make sowhat look like I'm wielding two swords like normal person.)

(But I really want to make those creepy arms I had imagined before…. Yea those would be creepy and scary, but deadly as fuck.)

(However I would need several of those mantis blades.)

(Do I use those mantis blades now? But I really want to make those fuking arms later one. They would be glorious!)

(Hm…. Can I make sothing different instead?)

(That mantis is a rare monsters and finding it does takes so ti, so, if possible, I would like not to use those blades yet, but if it depends on the situation, I would have no choice but to do it.)

(Crossbow? It should have way more power than normal crossbow…. But how would I reload it? I could maybe make so sort of reload chanism, but I would then need to put crossbow bolts in anyway once I run out of ammo.)

(How about a gun? Like a cannon or shotgun?)

(It could work…. But I would need to prepare ammunition as well as try different things since I never made gun before in this world…. Speaking of guns, I still have that mayor gun I had stollen from his corpse. I kind of completely forgotten about it.)

(Well, I can't use it now anyway, its power is way too weak, so yea…. I should just slt it or maybe sell it.)

"Okay… What next options…... Blunt weapon? It will be useful against undeads, especially against skeletons."

"But now I'm dealing with beasts and insect monsters…. Those insects have hard shells as well as exoskeletons, so blunt weapon would also be more beneficial than blade."

"But what about the beast monsters…. Should I have each arm have different weapon?"

"Hm… Simple idea, but it should work."

(I could also have my arms change forms into sa weapon while myself different type of weapons while using my hands.)

(It could also work…. But the question what the second arm or the normal weapons be?)

(The blunt weapon is way to go and I think I should have my arm change into it…. But the second weapon that would be good against beasts… Should I go with crossbows?)

(Not the ones that can fire one after another, but a single shot type that have a lot of power.)

(But then I would have to make small pause after each shot to reload…. However, I have monsters that fight at frontlines and don't have any good long range fighting once. The hunter red cobra have a long range poison skill, but only 1. It's good, but it doesn't do a lot of damage on impact and instead apply strong poison effect.)

(Hm…. I have my poison and the necromancy offensive magic, so I do have ans of fighting at long range, so I don't really need long range weapon anymore like crossbow, unless I make very strong one, for example by fusing it with my body in order to make it stronger.)

(However, the [Brawler] class increases my power of my body type attacks stronger, but that doesn't necessary ans all of my cyborg body parts will count.)

(For example the crossbow part, I tested it out and it didn't worked.)

"Undeads there should have resistance to poison and necro elent…. Shit."

"I still need the range weapon in the end."

"Okay. So, I need range weapon in the end, but I also need a close range weapon."

"Blunt weapon is best option as close range weapon…. But what about to long range one…."

"Should I make special crossbow heads? The ones that would do blunt type damage."

"It could work…. It should work."

"But what about the close range weapon?"

"Hamrs or maces?"

(I have an option of having double arm forms. One arm form. Two different arms. Or having form change arms alongside carrying normal weapons.)

(The weapon carrying is definitely off the table, since my chanical arms will definitely weigh on their own and my cyborg modification have anyway the weight reduction, so it's better to focus on my arms alone.)

(And I don't necessary need two sa copies of the sa weapons in each arm. I can have one long range weapon in one arm and one close range weapon in another.)

(Then there would also be no need to make double form arms.)

"Each arm having different weapon seem to be the correct choice."

"Crossbow with blunt bolt and the second arm…. Hm…. Should I go with hamr?"

"I could turn it maybe in long range weapon like that and then retract the chain when I want it to beco close range weapon."

(I could hide the long chain in my entire chanical arm.)

(As for my hand form…. Yea… This should be good. It wouldn't requite any big changes or anything like that, aning that the weight limit would be reduced a bit. It will be bit heavy even without using chain, but it should be hard hitting weapon and it should also work with [Brawler] class.)

"Yea. This seem like the best option. It need so adjustnts here and there, but it should work the way I want it to… There should small problems at the start since the chain need to be durable enough so they, but I would need to put every single point I had into strength to deal with it."

"And I honestly don't need chains yet, since I only would need long range weapon when I'm strong enough for the undead mountain."

"It would need so changes beside adding chains, but it should be fine."
