[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor Chapter 80 – Dwarf final test

After successfully making my first ever mana gun, I instantly got into the action and spend almost all of my ti researching and improving the mana gun.

I made quiet few new discoveries and improvent.

And after long enough ti passed, I had returned back to the Evilin workshop in order to et up with the dwarf in order to finally let him judge for the final test.

"Huh… You were good for quiet long ti. And I an like very long ti. Honestly, I started to think that sothing happened to you or sothing." – said Evilin.

"Sorry that it took so long, but I was researching sothing for a long ti." – said Phantasia while taking off his mask after making sure that he and the dwarf were alone in the room.

"Oh?" – dwarf looked bit excited.

"Then, with you being here ans that you are finally ready to show what you got?"

"Of course." – said Phantasia while giving a cheeky smile.

"Well then." – said the dwarf while getting up from his chair.

"Fallow ."

Dwarf took Phantasia to his own private testing room where the dwarf test out his creations in secrets.

The room looked worn out and damaged in many places, but it had all sorts of equipnt as well as training dummies that can be used to see an equipnt efficiency.

"Nobody will bother us here. This my own private room where I test out so of my things."

"By the way, don't worry about the state of this room. I usually repair it whole once in the while."

"So…. Show what you got."

"As you wish boss." – said Phantasia before starting to take out his creations and putting them on the table.

Phantasia created several pieces of the equipnt.

A heavy armor black armor covered that had fur sticking out from it,

The second set of armor was a light armored armor with two noticeable sticking out gullets that had bulkier parts around the wrist.

The third armor was a ropes with few reinforced parts as well as witches hat.

"Firstly, armors sets." – said Phantasia.

[Mountain Brute Armor] – [Rare]

"The first armor set has as simple purpose and everything."

"Its main goal is the defense, but not entirely."

"I used so of the beast pelts as replaced for so of the parts to reduce the number of tal in order not to decrees mobility too much."

"However you have made sure that the defense of this thing is still pretty high." – said the dwarf while inspecting the pieces of the armor.

"…. Good." – said the dwarf while putting down the helt of the armor.

"Its simple armor, but very effective one. You didn't went too overcomplicated with this armor and instead focused on the main thing while also making sure it wasn't too heavy."

"What about the next armor set? This one's gloves looks interesting."

[Mountain Rouge Armor] – [Rare]

"This one is a light armor."

"Its not really that tough like the previous one, but it still has so defense while also not weight much."

"However, this thing has a secret weapon."

Phantasia took the gloves from the table before putting them.

After putting them and moving his hand to make sure that his hand could freely, Phantasia then extended his hand towards target dummy before monts later changing the form of the gauntlet and revealing a crossbow gun that instantly fired a bolt at the dummy and hit perfectly dummy.

"Oh? A hidden crossbow?" – said the dwarf.

"Yeb."

"It does have so problems, for example with reload." – said Phantasia.

"However, I made sure it was sowhat well conclude and had also made sure that the crossbow itself has enough power to do so damage."

"It did ca at the cost of the reloading speed being even much slower, but this is a surprise weapon and everything."

"True." – said the dwarf while inspecting the damage on the dummy.

[Wandering Mage Armor] – [Rare]

"I though about making this armor over complicated, but it would instead got in the mage way." – said Phantasia.

"True. That kind of crossbow gauntlets wouldn't really fit with the mage, since you would know they would try sothing if they start pointing at you." – said the dwarf.

"However, I see that bits of ropes are reinforced bit and there… Specifically the vital areas."

"And the hat…. It has so reinforcents inside. Not much, but it will protect the head sowhat"

"The ropes are bit heavier than normal ropes…. But not too heavy or extrely heavy. The spellcasters shouldn't have any problem using it."

"So, instead of choosing any complicated stuff, you focused again on the basics, but also made sure that the ropes will have enough defense as well, yes?" – asked the dwarf.

"Yes." – replied Phantasia.

"Hm… Good."

"All three of those armors are not bad at all. They don't really have any big downsides, but each does their job well as well as bit more in different areas."

"Weight reduction."

"Hidden and effective weapon."

"And reinforced of the vital areas."

"Not bad…. Not bad at all." – said the dwarf.

"Well, those are armor sets."

"Now, what is the next thing you want to show ?"

"Well, those things."

Phantasia began taking out several different extra slot items (rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings) as well as few different items.

"I want to you see those things first before I go to the main course: The weapons."

"…. Understandable." – said the dwarf before approaching the table and inspecting the items.

"…."

"Oh?"

"This is quite nice as well." – said the dwarf while inspecting the jewelry up close.

"You have refined this stuff pretty good."

"This thing is pretty good as well." – said the dwarf while holding a germless bracelet.

"Thanks…. Honestly, I did had quiet problem with this shit and when I was doing my research I kind of realized I do need so knowable from making extra items…. So, yea… I did had so hard ti learning this for so reason, but hey. I can make sowhat good ones, yes?" – said Phantasia.

"True…." – said the dwarf while he continues inspecting the items.

"I see you had also made few interesting throwing weapons… Throwing knifes…. Tomahawks."

Dwarf picked the tomahawk and threw it at the dummy, hitting the dummy right in the head and making the tomahawk stuck.

"Nice."

"Honestly speaking right now. I was thinking of adding a chain to the tomahawk as well as a device that would allow the user to quickly retract the chain, but there were so problems with that." – said Phantasia suddenly.

"I didn't had a strong enough mana crystal or gem. I could do it even without it, but then the overall build of the pulling device would get increased alongside the weight."

"There was also the case regarding the chain durability and also the axe weight and everything."

"So honestly speaking, I decided to scrab that idea for now, since I would need more specific materials to create that special chained tomahawk thing."

"Well, that said. You can still attach the chain to this tomahawks." – said Phantasia while attaching the chain to the tomahawk handle.

"Hm…. Yea… The chain seem pretty durable, but also heavy." – said the dwarf while inspecting the chain.

Dwarf threw the chained mohawk from above at the second training dummy, hitting the dummy in the head before monts later dwarf began pulling back the chain and making the dummy head co off alongside the axe.

"Hm…. I get the gist. But why don't use so rope instead?"

"I an, ropes are much lighter than tomahawks."

"…."

"Well, that is the problem." – said Phantasia.

"I needed tough enough rope to not get cut by the enemy and everything or it would lead you to being disard."

"True. But still, the rope would allow you to retract the tomahawk much faster since its much lighter."

"You could probably make so stronger rope using either of those two materials." – said the dwarf while holding the list of the materials that Phantasia was allowed to use.

"?" – Phantasia walked towards the blacksmith and looked at his list.

"Wait…. They would have worked?" – said Phantasia while looking at the materials pointed by the dwarf.

"Pretty much. I had used them few tis before and I knew they would have made way better rope than average one." – said the dwarf.

"If you had made a rope out of this thing, it would have been much better than regular rope in terms of defense and endurance."

"It would have much better replaced for that chain of yours for many good reasons."

"Hm…. Welp, shit. I didn't knew about it. But thanks for info. I will probably use it to replace those chains with those ropes…." – said Phantasia.

"Don't worry. You made a valid point why you wanted to have chain instead of ropes and you didn't knew that you had much better option than that." – said the dwarf.

"Still, you should have did so research at least to see if there was really no other option than chains. So, you are at fault here. Make sure not to repeat that mistake in the future when you are researching and planning what to make. Understand?"

"…. I understand. I will make sure that it won't happened again." – said Phantasia while bowing his head.

(Tch. Maybe I shouldn't have bringed those tomahawks in the end. It may end up damaging my score.) – though Phantasia.

"As for the knifes…." – said the dwarf while approaching the table.

Dwarf picked one of the throwing knifes and threw it at the dummy."

"They fly well sowhat."

"They have quite simple design. But you had made sure that the edges are sharp enough for them cut the target."

"You could."

"Honestly, everything is great, expect for those chains."

"Honestly speaking, those tomahawks would be way better without any in the first place. Well, you did include option of attaching them and detaching them from the chain, so at least they can be used without the chains holding them back."

"But, over all the score is pretty high."

"…."

"Well then."

"I guess I'm done with those things, unless you have anything more to show ." – said the dwarf while turning around towards Phantasia.

"Nope. This is everything besides the weapons." – said Phantasia.

"Good."

"Then show ."

"Show the weapons you made right now."

"As you wish boss." – said Phantasia.

(This will be the real start.) – though stressed Phantasia.

(Depending on the results from the weapons he sees, it could either improve score overall or end up disappointing the dwarf big ti.)

(And I don't think so I will get a second chance after this.)
