It took nearly ten minutes before the next mber of their party entered the hole-inn-the-wall, which was what Belladonna decided to refer to this tiny little inn as. The door was practically thrown off of its hinges as a Lilith kicked it open, and had to crouch to get herself through the doorway.
However those ’contained’ movents quickly got tossed to the side the mont she laid eyes on Belladonna. She charged across the room, leaping into the kitchen through the service window and tackled Belladonna to the ground, her hands on her shoulders as she repeatedly shook the poor girl.
"Holy crap, Holy crap, Holy crap! Val you were right! I can’t believe you were right! How in the hell were you right?!" She shouted, shaking Belladonna violently. A tiny dragon the size of a Jack Russell bounced around her feet, licking at Belladonna’s face with a tongue like sandpaper.
"Right...about... what?" Belladonna said between shakes, before Lilith slamd her down and let out a hearty laugh.
"About what? What do you think you idiot! About the magic! You were right, it’s real!" She shouted again, climbing to her feet and lifting Belladonna off of the floor like she was completely weightless.
Belladonna always felt like a doll in Lilith’s hands, and that feeling remained as she was plopped onto her feet and gently brushed off.
"Umm yeah... I know. Why do you think I told you about it in the first place? Wait... are you only now believing ? Even after what we talked about in the dragon’s lair?"
"Well I uh..." Lilith muttered with a bashful expression, rubbing the back of her head nervously as she had to hunch down, so that her horns didn’t scrape against the ceiling of the tiny hole-inn-the-wall.
"You can hardly bla us." Another voice ca from the door, as Saige strolled through. He took the ti to fix the damage that his fiancee had caused, before turning back to Belladonna and smiling. Completely ignoring the other person in the room as he continued,
"You hit us with a lot in that lair, and it sounded pretty insane. After you spun your little tale we kinda just wanted to move on, But even still we gave you the benefit of the doubt, even if we were highly suspicious you had lost your mind, and you were right. I can’t believe I’m saying it, but sohow you were right. We can do magic."
"WE CAN DO MAGIC!" Lilith parroted, at a volu that threatened to burst Belladonna’s ear drums, as she picked her up again and shook her a few more tis to get out the excited energy bubbling inside her.
It took a few more shakes before Lilith cald down enough to sit at Revenant’s table, her pet baby dragon sitting in her lap, and let Belladonna get back to her cooking. The divine scent of sizzling at filling the air as the still sowhat excited Lilith explained everything they did, and what skills they had tested out, with the occasional addition from Saige.
When Vestra arrived, she had exactly the sa reaction, although she was shaking and bouncing herself with barely contained excitent and doing more hugging than anything else, but the excitent levels and surprise were on the sa level.
The sa could not be said for Figg when he arrived though,
"Oh man, you’re kidding ! I can’t believe this!" Figg moaned as he leaned against the table with his head in his hands. Vestra leaned over, petting his head softly as she shook her head in pity.
"I thought it wasn’t true. I an there was no way it could be. It was just you guys roleplaying again... being weird like you usually are. That’s what I thought, because how the hell could magic be real? Please tell you guys are ssing with , and that I’m not behind on all the magic stuff."
He pleaded, lifting his head and looking over them all with wide, desperate puppy dog eyes. However, although no one actually said anything, he could see the pity in their eyes, as Vestra patted him even more.
He let out a groan of despair, and dropped his head back down, this ti missing his hands and just slamming his head down on the table.
"And I thought my plants were growing well because my love was paying off..." He muttered, his voice muffled by the table slightly.
Thankfully, a well tid burger on a wooden plate was placed next to his head, close enough that every breath through his nose was filled with the absolutely divine scent of the strange at. With twitching nostrils, his head and his spirit slowly rose, and saliva started to drip from his lips.
Belladonna laughed softly as she placed down the burgers for everyone.
"You probably shouldn’t let her eat this," Belladonna warned Lilith, pointing to the baby dragon that Lilith had nad Gaia, "It’s kinda made of her mum after all."
Lilith’s eyes widened in panic, and she quickly dragged the burger away from Gaia, who was about to take a bite of it and instead let out a pitiful whine.
Belladonna laughed softly as she took her seat, forgoing a dragon burger for herself as she didn’t really need the benefits of it. Plus, she was slowly starting to lose the appetite for anything that wasn’t blood, as they just weren’t as filling or as delicious as the delectable sanguine. That was doubly so when it ca to her real life dietary habits.
"By the way, before I forget, I will need to get addresses from you two." She said, pointing to Vestra and Figg. Vestra shifted nervously, her fog-like hair growing thicker and curling further down her back, while Figg looked up in surprise with a mouthful of Dragon burger.
He nearly choked trying to swallow it, before finally getting it down.
"A-address? Why do you need that?"
"Well, while you all... or most of you, were discovering that I in fact was telling the truth about magic, I was doing so magic experints of my own. Amongst all of the insane things that I discovered, and that I will tell you about in due ti, the most important thing is that I figured out a way to move things between worlds."
Belladonna said with a devilish and cocky smirk, reaching into the collar of her armour and letting her hand sink into the shadows cast between her armour and her body. She pulled out a handful of the Source Remnants that she had collected over her last few days of grinding and tossed them onto the table.
"Which ans that you can use these babies to increase your mana levels in the real world, even if you were an idiot and didn’t believe in the first place."
The groups eyes widened as they stared at the crystals that scattered across the table, before simultaneously raising their glittering eyes to Belladonna and breaking out into smiles.
