VRMMORPG: The Endless Evolution of a Goblin Through Countless Classes Chapter 26: The final part of the exam
’’rlin... the strongest mage,’’ Doran said.
’’She’s the advisor of King Arthur. But ever since Calot collapsed under the Seven Demon Kings, King Arthur vanished without a trace. She ca here and established an academy, where a series of powerful individuals have been trained for this world over the past 300 years. Plus, she holds the entire history of the world. If we can receive a mission from her, it will be a great opportunity for Otherworlders like us.’’
Doran wrapped an arm around Vyral’s shoulder.
’’Moreover, King Arthur has finally reappeared recently. She will be more active than before. We should take this opportunity to receive her mission.’’
He bared his teeth, thrilled.
’’Follow . I asked my father to arrange a eting with her this weekend.’’
He added with a teasing voice.
’’Of course, include your girlfriend... sorry, I an your partner.’’
Vyral glanced at Arthea as if waiting for a signal from her, but she remained silent, letting out a bitter breath.
She said reluctantly.
’’I will talk about it later.’’
Vyral nodded, and all of them focused on rlin, who gradually landed on the ground.
rlin stared at everyone indifferently before speaking.
’’No need to beat around the bush. I know all of you ca to this place for the sa goal – to beco stronger, better, and earn a powerful position in society. I won’t disappoint you. My academy will be a launchpad for you. Yet, not everyone has that privilege.’’
In the blink of an eye, rlin’s eyes grew hollow as she whispered a kind of magic. As ti went by, countless magic circles ford beneath the candidates’ feet.
The entire academy erupted in a wave of mana, darkening the sky itself.
The candidates slowly dissipated into light particles drifting into the sky.
’’What the hell? I’m dying?’’ a candidate said, staring over himself with a tense, dumbfounded expression.
Following him, several candidates shared the sa worried emotions, but they let out a breath monts later.
’’Don’t worry. You are being sent to the final part of the exam.’’ rlin replied in a calm voice.
’’Rember ... Try to earn as many points as possible. If you fall out of the top 1000, you are probably not ant for this academy in this life.’’

As soon as Vyral opened his eyes, a pitch-black scene appeared before him, but thanks to his special eyes, he quickly regained his vision in the darkness.
’’A cave?’’
But before Vyral could understand what was happening, a corrosive mucus shot toward him from behind. It instantly corroded the surface of his armor, revealing green skin beneath and releasing a strong, acrid burning sll.
Vyral stepped back and glanced around to find whoever had attacked him from the shadows.
[Black Sli Lv.4]
The sli continued to shoot a series of corrosive mucus at Vyral, not allowing him a second to breathe or ti to prepare.
Vyral dodged the attacks masterfully before triggering the [Thrust] skill.
In an instant, a hole ford in the Black Sli’s body, yet unfortunately, the hole quickly closed up as if it hadn’t taken any damage at all.
Vyral squinted. He lunged forward and used the [Thrust] skill again—not once, but ten tis. He wanted to make sure his attacks had already destroyed its mana core.
The sli skidded across the ground before crashing into a spiked rock, scattering into countless pieces.
Vyral thought he had already won, but no announcent appeared.
Confused, Vyral muttered.
’’It should be dead.’’
The pieces of sli quickly gathered together, forming a complete Black Sli again. It once more shot corrosive mucus at Vyral without pause.
Vyral clenched his teeth and struck the Black Sli several tis, but he finally understood everything.
’’It doesn’t have a mana core.’’
Moreover, his physical attacks didn’t affect the sli at all, as if it was designed specifically to counter a fighter like him.
’’So, this is the final part of the exam.’’
He would have to face a counter that rlin had created. Normally, fighters would rack their brains for a way to kill the Black Sli, but things had gone too easily for Vyral.
After all, he wasn’t bound to a single class.
Without hesitation, he triggered the [Fireball] skill.
A fireball ford in his palm before shooting toward the Black Sli. Soon, the flas blanketed the sli, burning its body into steam that rose into the air. It quickly shrank into a small mass and disappeared.
[You’ve slain a Black Sli Lv.4]
[ 0 XP]
[ 1 Mystic Energy.]
Vyral gazed at the bright text and thought.
’’ 0 XP... I guess it’s because the monster isn’t real, but Mystic Energy still exists within it thanks to rlin’s magic.’’
Vyral quickly opened Basic Evolutions and studied carefully what he should buy right now. He believed that in this cave, there would be many more Black Slis. Their attacks could even bypass his perception. If not for his armor, that earlier blow would’ve caused him serious trouble.
Therefore, he needed to find sothing to improve his sensing.
Vyral rubbed his chin in amusent.
It had already been around eight hours since he used up all his Mystic Energy, but it had quickly refilled to over 20 Mystic Energy.
’’My clones seem to be working very hard.’’
Mystic Energy: 26,43 → 1,43
[Heightened Senses Lv.1] – 10 Mystic Energy
Improve the sensory perception system.
[Swordmaster’s Sense Lv.1( Rank F)] – 15 Mystic Energy
Enhanced Killing Intent Perception
7 Perception.
4 Dexterity.
He smirked as he began to sense the presence of black slis at a distance, thanks to his nervous system being greatly enhanced. His brain was now able to process complex signals from his ears that it had been unable to before – the faint sounds, even subtle vibrations – if he focused.
In addition, he also sensed the faint murderous intents directed at him from the dark corners of the cave. It looked like there were so monsters lying in wait to attack him. But they hesitated after witnessing their fellows get killed. They assessed Vyral as a worthy enemy, no longer easy prey.
In the next few seconds after he evolved he began to hear chaotic sounds from ahead.
Vyral squinted and got into a fighting stance, moving alertly deeper into the cave.
