Mo Qi took out a pot, a kitchen knife, a ladle, and various seasonings. He had no idea that his every move was being watched by three old n.
"Why does this kid carry all this stuff with him? Is he a Core Disciple or a chef?"
"Holy shit, look! He pulled out the Golden Bull Grass!" one of the old n couldn’t help but curse. "What the hell is he trying to do?"
"Calm down. How old are you? Show so decorum..." The leading old man sat prim and proper, wearing a tall crown, the very picture of a refined scholar. However, before he could finish his sentence, he leaped to his feet, his eyes wide and round, his dignified image completely shattered.
"Goddammit! Is he really treating the Golden Bull Grass like a common cabbage? If I’m not mistaken, that’s a three-thousand-year-old stalk! Don’t you dare stop , I’m going to beat him to death!"
The other two old n hurriedly grabbed him.
"No, no, no! Calm down, Brother! With your status, arguing with a child would be beneath you."
Back in the dense fog, Mo Qi and the Pig Emperor sat around a large pot. The Spiritual Spring Water inside was already boiling, with a few leaves of Golden Bull Grass floating within.
Mo Qi’s Storage Space didn’t contain much else, but it was packed with kitchen utensils, and he always kept a large supply of Spiritual Spring Water on hand.
He took out a pair of chopsticks, plucked out the Golden Bull Grass, and placed it on a large plate.
"Pig Emperor, it’s ready to eat."
The Pig Emperor’s face was full of suspicion. "You just boiled it for a second. Is it really edible?"
Mo Qi picked up a leaf of Golden Bull Grass and stuffed it into his mouth, chewing vigorously. A fresh fragrance imdiately wafted out, filled with dense Qi and Blood Power.
He let out a long sigh, a satisfied expression on his face. "What do you know? This Golden Bull Grass is just like cabbage. A quick blanch in hot water and it’s ready to eat, preserving its original flavor. Besides, there are no other ingredients to go with it here, so boiling is the best way to prepare it. If you’re not eating, I’ll finish it all."
With that, Mo Qi picked up a second leaf of Golden Bull Grass.
Seeing this, the Pig Emperor panicked. There was only one stalk of Golden Bull Grass, and it didn’t have many leaves.
He imdiately pounced on the plate and, without a second thought, swallowed all the remaining Golden Bull Grass.
"Tsk, tsk. I never thought plain boiled leaves could be so delicious." After eating, the Pig Emperor smacked his lips, still wanting more.
’If only there were a little more.’
Mo Qi assessed his own Realm. After eating two leaves of Golden Bull Grass, his qi and blood were surging and his physique had strengthened to a certain degree, but he’d made no progress toward the Eighth Transformation Innate.
’Could it be that the dicinal Power isn’t enough?’
Mo Qi and the Pig Emperor glanced at each other. Although they weren’t thinking about the sa thing, they instantly reached a consensus.
"Mo the kid, what do you think? We finished all the Golden Bull Grass, but no one has shown up, and no one stopped us. Doesn’t that an the people in this Secret Realm have tacitly approved of our actions?" the Pig Emperor asked expectantly, drooling.
Mo Qi nodded in wholehearted agreent, pointing at the still-boiling spring water. "Don’t you think this looks a lot like a delicious hot pot?"
GULP!
The Pig Emperor swallowed his saliva and nodded eagerly. "It’s just missing a few ingredients."
"So what should we do about that?"
"Let’s go! This Emperor will lead you to find them!"
And so, the utterly shaless man and pig "convinced" each other and began a "grand sweep" into the depths of the dense fog!
"Straight ahead, fifty ters," the Pig Emperor directed Mo Qi while sniffing the air.
"An eight-hundred-year-old silver ginseng, not bad." Mo Qi pulled out a foot-long silver ginseng, placed it in his Storage Space, and nodded with satisfaction.
"Two hundred ters to the left."
"A one-thousand-five-hundred-year-old Fla Breath Flower, acceptable."
"Thirty ters to the right."
"A five-hundred-year-old Purple Spirit Potato, it’s so-so."
...
While Mo Qi and the Pig Emperor were imrsed in the joy of their great harvest, the three old n who had been observing them were truly aggravated.
"Does this kid have a dog’s nose? How does he find all that Spirit dicine?"
"Who the hell knows? Look, it’s like he knows exactly where the Spirit dicine is. He just goes straight for it without any detours. Could the fog have stopped working?"
"It hasn’t stopped working. The kid is using so kind of strange Technique. It’s very bizarre."
"Should we go stop him?"
"No need! He’s about to enter the Void Road Back Slope. Almost all the Spirit dicine there is guarded by Demon Beasts. I’d like to see what other tricks he has up his sleeve!"
...
Outside the Secret Realm, the Void Sect headquarters received two groups of uninvited guests, imdiately entering a state of high alert.
"So it is General Nangong and Sect Leader Zhang who have graced us with your presence. I, Yun Xuzi, apologize for not coming out to greet you sooner. I hope you don’t take offense."
Yun Xuzi personally led the upper echelon of the Void Sect to the main peak’s grand hall to welco the guests, cupping his fist and laughing heartily.
Nangong Ye raised a hand and smiled in return, saying, "Yun Xuzi, it’s been a few years. Your Cultivation has improved quite a bit."
"Hehe, I’ve had a small breakthrough, but it’s truly not worth ntioning compared to you, General." Yun Xuzi’s smile didn’t waver as his gaze fell on Zhang Shao beside him. "Did you two arrive together?"
Nangong Ye smiled. "Don’t misunderstand. Sect Leader Zhang and I just happened to run into each other at the foot of the mountain."
Hearing this, Yun Xuzi breathed a sigh of relief. Zhang Shao’s aggressive arrival clearly signaled ill intentions.
But as long as the Mountain and Sea Empire wasn’t involved with him, everything was still manageable.
"Yun Xuzi, hope you’ve been well," Zhang Shao sneered, not bothering to hide his hostility in the slightest.
Just as Yun Xuzi was about to say sothing, he was cut off by Nangong Ye.
"Put your matter aside for now. I, this General, have co today for two reasons."
His tone was domineering, leaving no room for argunt.
The mbers of the Void Sect tensed up, their hearts sinking.
"First, we are here on business for His Majesty, so we must first pay our respects to Master Liu."
"Second, your Void Sect disciple, Mo Qi, murdered the City Lord of Nanyang City. Your sect must give the Mountain and Sea Empire an explanation."
"Now, we are going to pay our respects to Master Liu. I hope that in the anti, your Void Sect will think clearly about what kind of explanation you will give us. Alright, have soone take us to Master Liu’s residence."
Although he was the guest, Nangong Ye’s attitude was more imperious than the host’s, speaking in a completely commanding tone.
This was the typical conduct of the Mountain and Sea Empire—a demonstration of its power and the source of Nangong Ye’s audacity.
If not for his apprehension toward Liu Hong and his desire to avoid leaving a bad impression, Nangong Ye wouldn’t have even bothered with the initial greetings and pleasantries. He certainly wouldn’t have given the Void Sect ti to think, but would have just forcibly demanded the person.
’What? It’s Mo Qi again!’
The faces of the Void Sect mbers turned extrely grim. They never would have imagined that Mo Qi had not only killed one of their own but had also managed to provoke the Mountain and Sea Empire.
But for now, Yun Xuzi had no choice but to do as Nangong Ye said and send soone to lead them to Liu Hong.
After Nangong Ye and his entourage had left, Zhang Shao said, "Your Void Sect is really sothing else, isn’t it? To produce a ’talent’ like Mo Qi!"
Zhang Shao’s words made Yun Xuzi’s expression change. ’Could it be that Zhang Shao is also here because of Mo Qi?’
