How could Mu Xue not see what was going on? She instantly flew into a rage and yanked Mu He by the ear.
"Are you even my brother? What do you an I’m being unreasonable?"
Mu He gave a wry smile and batted her hand away. His gaze remained fixed on Niu Kexin’s retreating figure as he said, "Well, you’re the one who called her a country bumpkin first."
This made Mu Xue even angrier. "Did I na any nas?"
"There are only three of us here. Surely you weren’t calling the two of us country bumpkins?"
Mu Xue was too furious to speak. She just started pumling Mu He’s chest.
"Look at you! That vixen has completely bewitched you. You’re even taking her side! I’m your real sister!"
Mu He grabbed her misbehaving hands and said sternly, "Don’t be ridiculous. ’Vixen’? That’s a horrible thing to say!"
"You... You’re yelling at ? For her?!" Mu Xue looked utterly wronged.
"When did I yell at you?" Mu He was rendered speechless. "Stop making a scene."

A rare blush crept across Mu He’s face, but he nodded nonetheless.
"Mu He, you’re unbelievable! Calling your own sister unreasonable for so woman? What in the world do you see in her?" Mu Xue was genuinely baffled.
At the Imperial Academy, there were hordes of girls chasing after Mu He.
In her eyes, any one of those girls was a better match for him than Niu Kexin.
Mu He smiled gently. "I’ve fallen for everything about her."
"He’s lost it! He’s completely lost it! My brother has gone mad!"
Mu He’s smile gave Mu Xue goosebumps.
Mu He tapped her forehead lightly and said in a serious tone, "I’m reminding you now, she’s your future sister-in-law. Stop picking fights with her. We’re all going to be family one day, understand?"
Mu Xue turned her head away and sniffed disdainfully. "It won’t be that easy for her to beco my sister-in-law!"
Mu He rubbed his temples, his head starting to ache. "It’s really ti to find you a good husband. That boy who sent you flowers the other day seed nice."
Mu Xue reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, imdiately flying into a rage.
"Mu He, you can be as lovesick as you want, but leave out of it! That boy who sent flowers is still stuck in a hospital bed! Hmph! He’s not worthy of being my, Mu Xue’s, man!"

Mu Xue’s personality was the complete opposite of his.

She circled the treasury, and while there were many fine items, she couldn’t find anything that truly captivated her.
After she had wandered for a long ti without making a choice, Mu Xue couldn’t take it anymore.
"I say, are you going to stop dithering or what? Any single thing in here is an incredible Treasure for you. Just pick your items and let’s go. We don’t have ti to waste waiting for you."
Mu He quickly held Mu Xue back.
"That’s enough out of you. This is Adoptive Father’s treasury, and this is a rare opportunity. It’s only right for our adoptive sister to be cautious."
"Tch. What does she know? Don’t tell she can actually distinguish the quality of these Treasures?" Mu Xue scoffed.
As if she hadn’t heard a thing, Niu Kexin closed her eyes and carefully sensed the fluctuations of the Treasures around her.
Amidst the thousands of fluctuations, she searched for what she needed—sothing that would make her True Essence surge.
Seeing this, Mu Xue grew even more resentful. ’I tell you to hurry up, and you just close your eyes and stand still? What kind of attitude is that?’
Just as she was about to fly off the handle, Niu Kexin suddenly moved.
With her eyes still closed, she walked over to a wall and stopped.
She raised her fist and smashed it fiercely into the wall.

The two imdiately moved to stop her, but Niu Kexin struck again, shattering the wall with a single punch. It revealed a small room, inside of which grew a sapling as tall as a person.
Without a word, Niu Kexin uprooted the sapling and placed it in her Storage Space.
Mu He and Mu Xue were dumbfounded. They had overseen Mu Kongfu’s treasury for more than a decade, yet they never knew there was a whole Grotto Heaven hidden behind the wall!
’How did Niu Kexin know? And what kind of sapling was that she took?’

’There’s another crucial point we overlooked!’
’According to their knowledge of the treasury, everything inside should be protected by an Array. So how was Niu Kexin able to smash the wall?’
The siblings’ shock had only just begun.
Niu Kexin walked straight to an open spot on the floor, stomped her foot, and shattered the ground. From the hole, she dug out a box about a foot wide.
Next, she pushed aside two shelves laden with Treasures. The wall behind them slid open automatically, and Niu Kexin claid the two Thunder-Commanding Gilded Hamrs within.
With her three Treasures now collected, Niu Kexin broke into a satisfied smile.
"Thank you, Adoptive Brother and Sister. I have finished my selection."
Mu He and Mu Xue were completely bewildered. ’Forget about smashing walls and stomping through floors,’ they thought, ’how did you even know that pushing aside the shelves would reveal a hidden chanism?’
’Why didn’t *we* know that?’
’Are we guiding you to pick out Treasures, or are you guiding us?’
’Are you sure you’re not Adoptive Father’s secret daughter?’
’Can sobody please tell us what is going on!’
"You... How did you do all that?" Mu He couldn’t help but ask.
"Do what?" Niu Kexin, still basking in the joy of acquiring three Treasures, didn’t understand what Mu He was asking.
"I an, how did you find those three Treasures?"
"I just cald my mind and sensed them. I found them right away." Niu Kexin made no attempt to hide the truth.
Mu He and Mu Xue: "..."
’Calm your mind and sense them?’
’Sense my ass!’
’We’re the ones who’ve been cleaning and maintaining this treasury all these years! How co we never sensed a thing?’
"Can we go now?" Niu Kexin asked.
"Huh? Oh, right. Yes, of course," Mu He said, snapping out of his shock.
Just as Niu Kexin was about to leave, Mu He received a ssage from Mu Kongfu.
"Wait a mont, Adoptive Sister!"
"Is sothing the matter, Adoptive Brother?" Niu Kexin frowned slightly.
"Adoptive Father sent a ssage. He said two very distinguished guests have arrived from the Empire, and he wants us all to go and receive them."
