The Storage Ring was a trap he’d set for Mo Qi. A Divine Sense attack from a Void Realm expert was sealed inside.
If the spiritual imprint didn’t match, the Divine Sense attack would trigger imdiately.
Right then, Mo Qi’s Sea of Consciousness was in utter chaos. The powerful, foreign Divine Sense nearly tore it apart.
Just then, the Chaos Scripture emitted a gentle glow that instantly dispelled the Void Realm Divine Sense and soothed Mo Qi’s turbulent Sea of Consciousness.
’This is my domain. How dare another run wild here?’
When the dagger was just half an inch from Mo Qi’s head, he opened his eyes.
SWISH!
A flash of black light.
The dagger grazed his cheek as it flew past, taking an entire arm with it.
The victorious smile on Zhang Cheng’s face froze. He couldn’t fathom how Mo Qi had survived a Void Realm-level Divine Sense attack completely unscathed.
He wouldn’t get the chance to figure it out, either.
Carried by his own montum, Zhang Cheng couldn’t retreat in ti and crashed right into Mo Qi, who promptly grabbed him by the neck and hoisted him into the air.
Now armless, Zhang Cheng could only flail his legs uselessly, his bloodshot eyes bulging from their sockets.
"You... You can’t kill ! I have..."
Before he could finish, Mo Qi slashed off his head, unwilling to listen to another word of his nonsense.
THUMP!
Zhang Cheng’s head rolled across the ground, his face frozen with a desperate yearning for life and the terror of death.
Mo Qi collapsed to the ground, overco with lingering fear.
It had been too close. If the Chaos Scripture hadn’t helped him, Zhang Cheng would have killed him.
’The path of the Martial Dao is truly perilous,’ he thought. ’A single mont of carelessness, and you can fall into soone’s trap.’
Just then, a ray of white light shot out from Zhang Cheng’s corpse and ford the image of a middle-aged man.
He bore a slight resemblance to Zhang Cheng.
Mo Qi was instantly on high alert. ’Could this man be Zhang Cheng’s father, the Sect Leader of the Wolf Fang Sect?’
"Audacious cur! You dare kill my son? Await my bloody retribution."
The mont he finished speaking, before Mo Qi could react, the image shot into his body.
’What the hell was that?!’
Mo Qi was alard. His instincts scread that sothing foreign was now inside him.
But no matter how he inspected himself, he couldn’t find anything unusual.
"Stop looking," the Pig Emperor said. "It’s a type of aura imprint. It isn’t technically inside your body. As long as that man is alive, the imprint will remain, and he can use it to track your location."
Mo Qi was dumbfounded. ’They can do that?’
’Doesn’t that an he’s already been exposed for killing Zhang Cheng, and his father already has it out for him?’
The thought of being targeted by the Sect Leader of the Wolf Fang Sect made Mo Qi’s scalp tingle with dread.
But he didn’t regret it. If he had to do it all over again, he would still kill Zhang Cheng without a mont’s hesitation.
’Whatever,’ Mo Qi thought. ’I’ll cross that bridge when I co to it and take things one step at a ti. Maybe sothing will change for the better.’
’First, I should rescue Jin Sanpang.’
With the help of the Chaos Scripture, Mo Qi quickly broke the Array.
The mont the Array fell, a completely blood-red lion was sent flying out from within, slamming hard against the cavern wall.
A massive dark figure followed close behind and plopped down right on top of the Blood Lion. It was none other than the beefy Jin Sanpang.
Jin Sanpang was bare-chested and covered in countless gashes, the flesh peeled back and dripping with blood. He was a miserable sight.
The Blood Lion opened its maw to bite Jin Sanpang’s neck, but he pinned it down with one hand.
"You’re a bad kitty," Jin Sanpang pouted. "To think you’d take advantage of my suppressed strength to scratch the hell out of ." He swung a fist and stunned the unruly Blood Lion.
"My strength is back now! Why don’t you try that again!"
Jin Sanpang rained down one punch after another. Soon, the Blood Lion stopped struggling, blood pouring from its eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. It was dead.
But Jin Sanpang’s fists didn’t stop; he continued to thodically puml the corpse.
Mo Qi didn’t shout for him to stop, nor did he intervene.
While breaking the Array, he had realized that Zhang Cheng had set up a Trapping Array.
It not only trapped Jin Sanpang inside, but also suppressed his Cultivation to the Mid-stage Purity Realm.
That Blood Lion was Zhang Cheng’s Beast Pet, and it had the strength of the Late-stage Purity Realm.
Zhang Cheng’s goal was to have the Blood Lion slowly wear down and kill Jin Sanpang.
With his strength suppressed, Jin Sanpang had been no match for the Blood Lion and had been horribly mauled.
That’s why he had so much pent-up rage, and why he was now beating the Blood Lion’s corpse to a pulp to vent his frustration.
Ignoring Jin Sanpang, Mo Qi entered the nest. His eyes fell upon a mountain of Top-grade Spirit Stones.
In the very center of the nest, a purple Crystal Stone the size of a washbasin hovered in the air.
The rich, misty energy filling the cavern was emanating from this purple Crystal Stone.
In that instant, the rate at which the pores all over Mo Qi’s body absorbed Energy accelerated once more.
His Seventh Turn Foundation Establishnt quickly reached the state of Perfection, ready for a breakthrough at any mont.
"Spirit Marrow!"
The Pig Emperor’s eyes went wide. His mouth fell open, and drool began to pour out, drenching Mo Qi’s shoulder.
"Seriously, Pig Emperor? Do you have to be so dramatic? It’s just a purple Spirit Stone. It can’t be..."
Mo Qi pinched the Pig Emperor’s ear in disgust and lifted him off his shoulder, but he trailed off mid-sentence. His own jaw dropped, his face a mask of utter shock, leaving him speechless.
Just then, a ssage from the Chaos Scripture flooded his mind: "Spirit Marrow: the core essence that allows an Earth-level Spiritual Ore to evolve to the Celestial Level. It is a type of Innate Spirit, contains Primordial Energy, and can be combined with Obsidian via a Secret Technique to refine an External Incarnation."
Mo Qi didn’t know what an Innate Spirit was, nor did he understand how terrifying Primordial Energy could be, but he knew what an External Incarnation was. That alone was enough to completely enthrall him.
An External Incarnation was, simply put, a clone of the original body. The two shared a single mind—an incredible ability. It could even be used as a second life.
"Mo Qi, if you don’t want it, then this emperor won’t stand on ceremony."
Seeing the Pig Emperor open its mouth, about to swallow the Spirit Marrow in one gulp, Mo Qi quickly grabbed its tail and hoisted it upside down.
Caught by surprise, the Pig Emperor nearly bit its own tongue off.
"Mo Qi, do you believe I won’t turn on you?" the Pig Emperor roared furiously.
Mo Qi quickly let go of the Pig Emperor and laughed sheepishly. "Whoa, hold on! I have a very important use for this Spirit Marrow."
The Pig Emperor looked at him suspiciously. "Important use? Weren’t you just scoffing at it a mont ago?"
"When? You must be misrembering!" Mo Qi said with a perfectly straight face.
The Pig Emperor rolled its eyes and insisted, "I don’t care! I must have half!"
Mo Qi shook his head. "You can have every other treasure here, including those Companion Spirit dicines, but not the Spirit Marrow."
The Pig Emperor gave Mo Qi a long, serious look, thought for a mont, and finally agreed.
"If there’s any Spirit Marrow left over, you have to give a share."
"Deal."
"And you have to make those Companion Spirit dicines into dicinal Cuisine for to eat."
"Alright."
"Oh, and the Celestial Fire! Don’t forget, you still owe a Celestial Fire!"
Mo Qi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "Alright, alright, I get it. Whatever you say."
With that, Mo Qi shoved Zhang Cheng’s Storage Ring at the Pig Emperor.
"You can hold onto this too. Happy now?"
Seeing the piles upon piles of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures inside the Storage Ring, the Pig Emperor suddenly felt much better about their deal, a grin stretching nearly from ear to ear.
"I’ll handle the Spirit Marrow. You help collect so of these Top-grade Spirit Stones," Mo Qi said with a smile.
’Since we’re already here,’ he thought, ’we can’t let this opportunity go to waste.’
