Staring at his empty hand, Xu He began to question reality.
Just a mont ago, he was crushing Mo Qi’s heart. How did things turn out like this in the next instant?
’Did I miss sothing?’
He glanced at the perfectly unhard Mo Qi, then down at the large chunk of his own body that had been lopped off.
A glint flashed in Xu He’s eyes.
"Excellent. Just excellent, Mo Qi! I’m growing more and more curious about what your secret could be."
Xu He knew his senses hadn’t failed him. He had most certainly crushed Mo Qi’s heart.
’If he can recover completely from a fatal wound like that, couldn’t I recover too if I seize his secret? Then I wouldn’t have to be a one-ard hero anymore.’
"Enough talk. If you want my secret, co and take it with your own strength!"
Mo Qi beckoned, and the Obsidian Kitchen Knife flew back to him. At the sa ti, he held a piece of Spirit Marrow in his hand, ready to consu it again at a mont’s notice.
He didn’t know how he had co back from the dead. Perhaps it had sothing to do with the Pig Emperor, or perhaps his mother from the dream.
But no matter what, the most important thing right now was to deal with Xu He first.
Xu He was grievously wounded, his very foundation damaged. This was the perfect opportunity.
"With my own strength?" Xu He laughed instead of growing angry. "I killed you once, and I can kill you a second ti. Even in my current state, killing you will be effortless!"
"You’re welco to try!"
After experiencing that incredibly vivid dream, the sorrow and rage in Mo Qi’s heart were hard to quell. He needed a great battle!
He brought the Spirit Marrow to his lips, preparing to swallow it.
"Wait!" At that mont, the Pig Emperor suddenly spoke.
This ti, it didn’t use a ntal transmission but spoke in a human voice!
The sneer on Xu He’s face froze. He staggered back a step, thoroughly terrified.
"A... a Fourth-level Demon Beast?"
A Demon Beast that could speak human language either had a Cultivation at the fourth level—the equivalent of a human’s Void Realm—or possessed an extraordinary bloodline and was of such high quality that it had gained sapience the mont it was born.
Xu He didn’t believe the Pig Emperor could be the latter. A Demon Beast of that caliber would be a king in the Demon Beast Realm from birth and would never appear so casually in an area inhabited by human Cultivators.
Xu He’s first instinct was to flee. A Fourth-level Demon Beast was not sothing he could handle.
But on second thought, sothing felt wrong.
’If Mo Qi had a Fourth-level Demon Beast protecting him, it would have shown itself long ago. Why would it have allowed to corner him like that?’
Connecting this to Mo Qi’s previous actions, Xu He was certain—this was a bluff!
"Hmph, trying to trick ? You’re still too green!"
Mo Qi looked at the Pig Emperor, wondering what kind of trick it was playing.
"Hehe, Mo Qi, watch closely! This is a new ability I’ve acquired!"
The Pig Emperor leaped up and landed on Mo Qi’s head.
It stood upright, waving its short, stubby forelimbs. With one hoof forward and one back, it tilted its pig head up, striking an incredibly flamboyant pose.
"Hey! Xu He, you old codger, do you dare look your Grandmaster Pig in the eye?"
Xu He subconsciously looked over. Man and pig, their four eyes t.
The north wind blew, the tall grass swayed. The Pig Emperor’s voice echoed across the empty wasteland, and the scene instantly beca utterly ridiculous and awkward.
Xu He thought the Pig Emperor was about to unleash so ultimate move and nervously checked himself from head to toe, but he found nothing out of the ordinary.
The corner of Mo Qi’s mouth twitched. ’Pig Emperor, is your new ability just for comic relief?’
"You damn fat pig, are you ssing with ?"
Xu He flew into a rage. With a shake of his body, he pointed his single arm to the sky as a brilliant golden light erupted from him, radiating an incomparably powerful might.
This ti, he wouldn’t hold back.
He would subdue Mo Qi with the utmost speed, not even leaving him a chance to fight for his life.
But just then, Xu He suddenly felt dizzy and disoriented. The True Essence in his body seed to spin out of control, gathering in his lower abdon.
"What’s happening? It feels like there’s sothing extra in my stomach!" Xu He’s face went pale with shock. He felt his limbs go weak and was overco with exhaustion.
Before Mo Qi’s astonished eyes, Xu He’s belly began to swell at a visible rate. It grew larger and larger until his navel popped out, making him look like a woman ten months pregnant.
But Xu He was a man!
A gaunt old codger, at that!
"What... what did you do to ?" Xu He’s face was deathly pale. He swayed on his feet, struggling to keep from collapsing.
The Pig Emperor rolled its eyes. "Idiot! Can’t you tell? You’re pregnant, of course."
What? Pregnant?!
Not only was Xu He dumbfounded, but Mo Qi’s jaw also dropped, his face a mask of disbelief.
’Xu He! An old man who’s lived for several hundred years... is pregnant!’
’How the hell is that even possible?!’
Mo Qi stared blankly at the Pig Emperor.
’This is your new ability? Could it be any more ridiculous? Any more outrageous? Any more shaless?’
"Hey, hey, hey, what’s with that look?" the Pig Emperor demanded, displeased. "Did you think my title of Longevity Dragon Pig was just for show?"
Perhaps sensing the doubt in Mo Qi’s heart, a ssage transmitted from the Chaos Scripture: When the Longevity Dragon Pig advanced by consuming the Spirit Marrow, its awakened ability, Boundless Longevity, mutated.
This...
’Awakened abilities can mutate?’
’Of all the things it could have mutated into, it had to be this.’
’From now on, it should probably be called the ’Child-Delivering Dragon Pig’.’
Mo Qi didn’t dare to imagine a day when the Pig Emperor went on a rampage, glaring at people regardless of age or gender and getting them all pregnant.
’My god, the ntal image was too horrifying to contemplate.’
"No, no, no! Longevity Dragon Pig, you’re the absolute greatest," Mo Qi said, waving his hands dismissively. He turned his face away, not daring to look at the Pig Emperor any longer.
’If he accidentally got glared at and beca pregnant, that would be taking the joke way too far.’
"AHHH! You’re lying to !" Xu He roared. "How could a grown man like possibly get pregnant!"
The Pig Emperor shrugged. "It is what it is. It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe it."
Xu He felt like crying. Although a thousand, no, ten thousand parts of him refused to believe it, as ti passed, the new Life Aura in his abdon grew stronger and stronger. He had no choice but to accept it.
He would rather have Mo Qi chop off his other arm than be pregnant.
What could possibly be more humiliating than a man getting pregnant?
At first, Xu He thought nothing could be.
But after a few more breaths, he knew he was wrong. There was sothing worse!
Giving birth!
As his belly grew larger and the Life Aura within it intensified, sothing even more terrifying happened.
The baby was about to be born!
And that raised a question: Xu He didn’t have the right "passageway" for giving birth!
Excruciating pain shot through him. Xu He clutched his stomach and collapsed to the ground, his face contorted in agony.
Even with his Cultivation and physique at the Peak of the Vajra Realm, he couldn’t withstand the tornt of a difficult birth.
No, this wasn’t a difficult birth—it was an impossible one. He was physically unable to push it out!
"Argh! Mo Qi, I’ll kill you! You damned piece of trash, you deserve to die by a thousand cuts!"
"And that damned fat pig! I’ll swallow you whole and skin you alive!"
Xu He shrieked in agony, spewing a torrent of curses.
Watching this incredibly "bizarre" scene unfold, Mo Qi couldn’t help but have a question pop into his head.
’If it’s born, should the baby call Xu He ’Dad’ or ’Mom’?’
"Mo the kid, what are you waiting for? Go and finish this old geezer off now," the Pig Emperor urged.
Mo Qi swallowed hard and raised his kitchen knife, but for a mont, he found it difficult to strike.
’Does this count as murdering a pregnant woman?’
