Ming Ye copied her, pulling the tab open. The mont the liquid touched his lips, a strange flavor filled his mouth. He imdiately frowned, a look of distaste in his eyes.
’What is this stuff? It tastes so weird!’
’But how is she drinking it with such relish?’
He refused to accept it and took another sip. The taste was still a bit strange, but upon savoring it, there seed to be a unique flavor to it. It wasn’t as unpleasant as before.
"Hahaha, what, you don’t like the taste? Then let give you sothing else to try."
Seeing his reaction, Jiang Yunnuan burst out laughing.
Then, the others watched as she took out a strange glass bottle. After opening it, she handed it to Ming Ye with a mischievous grin.
Ming Ye looked skeptical. He felt like she was up to no good and hesitated to take it. The next second, however, Jun Yao snatched it away.
He held it under his nose and sniffed. A sharp, spicy sll shot into his nostrils, and he frowned in discomfort.
Jiang Yunnuan’s brow twitched, and a wicked smile flashed in her eyes.
She turned to Jun Yao, wrapped her arms around his neck, and said, "This liquor is very strong. Only a top-tier Beastman can handle it. Want to give it a try?"
Her voice held an irresistible allure. Though he knew she was up to no good, Jun Yao tilted his head back and downed the entire bottle without hesitation.
It was spicy and pungent, burning his throat. He couldn’t help but let out a series of muffled coughs.
"Wow, 500 milliliters of 55% alcohol liquor, downed in one go! You’re really sothing!"
Jiang Yunnuan’s overly theatrical praise rang in his ears, sounding distant and indistinct, as if through a fog. His eyelids grew heavy.
Jun Yao shook his head hard, then let it rest gently on her shoulder as his consciousness faded into chaos.
His hot breath, reeking of strong alcohol, washed over her. A flush crept across his handso face, making him look breathtakingly beautiful.
"Did you drug him?"
Seeing this, Fu Yuan asked in astonishnt.
’It was just a little sedative, that hardly counts as a drug.’ Jiang Yunnuan would never admit it. She forcefully pried Jun Yao’s arms away and slipped out of his embrace.
"Don’t make sound so malicious, okay? The alcohol content was just a little high. He’s simply drunk."
"Liar. There was clearly a drug in it!"
Ming Ye added, his voice chillingly low, "So, you were planning to knock out?"
That liquor was originally ant for him; Jun Yao had just intercepted it.
If Jun Yao hadn’t snatched it, he would be the one lying there now.
Jiang Yunnuan was speechless.
She blushed a little, having been exposed so rcilessly.
"You already knew it was drugged, didn’t you? Why would you have drunk it? Besides, what good would knocking you out do ?"
Her target was Jun Yao from the very beginning.
But she couldn’t be sure Jun Yao would snatch it, so it was just a gamble.
Even if Ming Ye hadn’t detected the drug and had actually been knocked out, she had the antidote on hand.
Fu Yuan was speechless.
’So there really was a drug!’
He cleared his throat and said, "Alright, let’s hurry up and eat. We’ll leave as soon as we’re done and ditch that guy while he’s unconscious."

He reached out, pulled Jiang Yunnuan over, and handed her a at skewer.

"What are you thinking about?"
Seeing that she wasn’t moving, Fu Yuan turned his head to look at her.
She imdiately shook her head and chuckled lightly. "Nothing. Let’s eat."
’Hmph. Can’t bear to leave Jun Yao, can you?’
A flicker appeared in Fu Yuan’s eyes. He picked up a bottle of beer, opened it, and took a sip. Finding the taste pretty good, he clinked bottles with Ming Ye and drained it.
A little over half an hour later, the table was cleared, and everything, including the grill, was stored away in her space.
After placing the at skewers she had set aside in a container next to him, Jiang Yunnuan stood up and looked at Fu Yuan and Ming Ye.
"It’s not safe at night. You two should set up a Barrier around him."
"We already went through the Contract Termination, so why do you still care so much about him? Wouldn’t it be better if sothing happened to him? It would save us from him haunting us and pestering us endlessly."
Fu Yuan frowned and didn’t move, which left Jiang Yunnuan feeling helpless.
’Mission aside, I do have a heart!’
