’How am I supposed to tell her the truth?’
"Uh... maybe you should just take a look in the mirror!"
After a mont’s thought, Fu Yuan made the suggestion. Seeing the serious look on his face, Jiang Yunnuan realized this was no simple matter. Without a second thought, she opened her Light Brain and switched it to selfie mode.
The Light Brain’s selfie mode was even sharper and more detailed than a mirror. The mont she saw the face in the cara, her eyes flew wide in utter disbelief.
’What is going on?’
’Can soone please tell how this spot grew bigger? It’s not a living thing!’
’It couldn’t be so kind of parasite, could it?’
The thought of this world’s revolting and bizarre Insect Race made her shudder.
"System, what in the world is going on with this spot on my face? Why did it get bigger?"

She frowned and shut off her Light Brain. She racked her brain but still couldn’t figure out what was happening. Frustrated, she headed back into the villa, just in ti to run into Jun Yao coming downstairs.
He had changed out of his casual clothes and was now wearing a custom-made combat suit.
The silver-and-black combat suit, with its tallic texture, perfectly accentuated his broad shoulders and narrow waist. It made his physique look even more powerful and imposing, both domineering and magnificent. He looked like a War God descended to the mortal realm, so handso it was almost blinding.
But Jiang Yunnuan was in no mood to admire the view.
She strode over, tilted her head up, and asked, "Jun Yao, do you know what’s going on with this spot on my face?"
The man’s brow twitched. He reached out to lift her chin, brushing a strand of hair from her cheek with his other hand. He studied her face intently for a mont before speaking slowly.
"This spot... it does look a little different."
’He knew the change in its appearance would make her and the other three suspicious, but it was unavoidable. He couldn’t replicate the original spot perfectly; he could only create sothing similar.’
"So, you don’t know either, huh?"
Jiang Yunnuan was a little dejected, but she supposed it made sense.
’The guy went berserk and spent the whole ti pinning down and forcing himself on . How could he possibly have had ti to notice my face?’
"Mm."
He nodded without a hint of guilt and added, "Go change into your combat suit. We’re heading out on a mission."
’A mission?’
Jiang Yunnuan’s attention was imdiately diverted.
’Besides, the check-in missions follow wherever I go, so traveling won’t be a problem. We already accepted these other missions, and I already agreed to go with Ming Ye and Fu Yuan. Might as well get it over with.’
After she finished changing, she found Fu Yuan and Ming Ye, also in combat suits, waiting for her in the courtyard with Jun Yao.
For once, as she looked at the three tall, long-legged, and incredibly handso n, she wasn’t captivated by their good looks.
"Hey, wait a minute... where’s Si Xie? How co I haven’t seen him?"
As she said it, Jiang Yunnuan realized that she hadn’t seen Si Xie at all since waking up. Sothing felt wrong.
"Him? He was injured by the blast of Energy from Jun Yao’s rampage. He’s probably still unconscious."
Fu Yuan replied, though he hadn’t actually seen Si Xie get hurt himself. He had been in the middle of a breakthrough at the ti.
Jiang Yunnuan pressed her lips together. The image of Si Xie’s panicked face when Jun Yao had her by the throat flashed through her mind, and her heart couldn’t help but soften.
"Wait for here for a mont."
With that, she turned and headed back inside. At the sight, Jun Yao’s expression instantly darkened. His eyes grew terrifyingly cold, and a dangerous aura radiated from him, making him look as if he could fly into a rage at any mont.
Fu Yuan and Ming Ye imdiately sensed the shift; even the air seed to have grown cold.
’Isn’t this guy’s possessiveness a little too intense?’
’Just because they slept together, he thinks she’s his property now?’
’How ridiculous!’
