Wang Jian sat in his lavish suite, eyes narrowed in thought as he mulled over his next move. Leon Devereux would be dealt with in due ti, but first, he had unfinished business with the Langston family. After all, they had been foolish enough to co after him, and they had to be taught a lesson they wouldn't forget - or, in their case, wouldn't live to rember. David, Richard, and Harold Langston had tried to take his life, humiliate him, and dismantle his empire. It was only fair that he returned the favor, albeit more... decisively.

Wang Jian stretched his arms, his muscles tensing with anticipation. "Before dealing with Leon, it's ti to clean up the Langston ss," he muttered to himself, his lips curling into a cold smile.

But this wasn't going to be a simple confrontation. The Langston mansion, located in a sprawling estate outside of town, was heavily fortified. It was clear that the family valued their safety above all else. Wang Jian had already scoped it out - the mansion was surrounded by an electrified fence, patrols of ard guards, and surveillance caras that monitored every inch of the property. Even the mansion itself had reinforced doors, and inside, an elaborate security system guarded the family mbers.

To sneak into that fortress was no small feat. But for Wang Jian, it was a challenge he relished. His years in the cultivation world had taught him how to move unseen and unheard, how to manipulate his body and senses to avoid detection, and how to dismantle his enemies from the inside out.

The night was dark, and a thick mist hung in the air as Wang Jian approached the Langston estate. Dressed in all black, his movents were fluid, blending into the shadows as he moved along the outer periter. The electrified fence lood ahead, crackling faintly in the silence. To any ordinary man, this would have been a serious obstacle, but Wang Jian was no ordinary

man.

He crouched low, examining the fence carefully. The current was strong, but there was a flaw in the design. The maintenance crew had left a small gap near the base, where the wires were poorly connected. Wang Jian smirked. "Amateurs," he muttered under his breath.

Sliding a thin tallic rod from his utility belt, he carefully used it to disrupt the electrical flow just long enough to squeeze through the gap. The fence humd behind him as he moved past it, but he was already gone, hidden once again in the shadows.

Next ca the guards. They patrolled the grounds in pairs, each carrying assault rifles and radios clipped to their belts. Wang Jian watched them from his vantage point behind a tall oak tree, counting their movents and timing their patterns. Every twelve minutes, there was a gap where one pair would leave their post to check in with the others.

Wang Jian waited patiently, his breathing calm and steady. When the mont ca, he moved swiftly, crossing the open yard in a matter of seconds and ducking behind a row of bushes. A few yards ahead was the first cara, rotating slowly on its axis as it scanned the

area.

Wang Jian studied the rotation carefully. The cara had a blind spot-a brief mont when its lens couldn't see a particular patch of ground. Using the montum from his legs, he sprang forward at precisely the right ti, slipping through the blind spot with the precision of a well-trained assassin.

He moved like a shadow, always aware of his surroundings. There were more caras ahead, and he dodged them one by one, using the terrain to his advantage. At one point, he had to scale a wall to avoid detection by a motion sensor. His fingers gripped the stone, and with the strength of his cultivation techniques, he pulled himself up in complete silence, moving hand over hand until he reached the other side.

Finally, he approached the mansion itself. The doors were reinforced with steel, and a keycard lock system barred entry. Wang Jian wasn't deterred. Reaching into his pocket, he produced a device that Charlotte had designed for him—a small, unassuming tool that could intercept and replicate the frequencies of electronic locks. He placed it against the panel, and within seconds, the door clicked open.

Inside, the mansion was eerily quiet. The guards stationed inside were fewer, but better trained, each carrying firearms and moving with a sense of alertness. Wang Jian crept down the hallway, using the shadows and his superior reflexes to stay out of sight. He knew exactly where to go. He had studied the blueprints of the mansion thoroughly.

The first bedroom he reached belonged to David Langston.

Wang Jian stood outside the door, listening carefully. There was no sound from within- David was likely sleeping, completely unaware of the storm that was about to befall him. Wang Jian pushed the door open slowly, slipping inside with the silence of a ghost.

David lay in the center of his massive bed, sprawled out under silk sheets, his face peaceful in sleep. Wang Jian moved closer, his eyes cold and calculating as he approached the bed. In one swift motion, he reached out and snapped David's neck, the sound barely audible in the stillness of the room.

David was dead before he even realized what was happening.

Wang Jian stood over the body for a mont, his expression unchanged. "That's for trying to kill , you idiot," he muttered, then turned on his heel and left the room.

Next on the list was Richard Langston. His bedroom was down the hall, a grand room with luxurious furnishings that scread wealth and power. Wang Jian entered just as smoothly, his movents fluid and controlled.

Richard was awake, sitting at his desk, looking over so docunts. He looked up just as Wang Jian appeared in the doorway, his eyes widening in shock.

"Who the hell are-" Richard began, but he never got to finish his sentence. Wang Jian was on him in an instant, his hand clamping over Richard's mouth as he slamd him into the wall.

Richard struggled, his hands flailing as he tried to fight back, but Wang Jian was too strong. He tightened his grip, and within monts, Richard's body went limp. Wang Jian let him drop to the floor, dead.

Harold Langston was next. The old man's bedroom was in the farthest wing of the mansion, a sprawling suite that reflected his position as the head of the family. Wang Jian made his way through the mansion with ease now, his every step purposeful and deadly.

Harold was asleep when Wang Jian entered his room, snoring softly in his bed. Wang Jian didn't hesitate. He moved to the side of the bed, his hand ready to strike. But sothing stopped him.

The old man stirred in his sleep, muttering sothing incoherent. For a mont, Wang Jian considered letting him live. But then he rembered all the trouble the Langstons had caused him, all the attacks they had launched against him.

With one swift motion, Wang Jian brought his hand down, ending Harold Langston's life in an instant.

Wang Jian stood in the middle of the Langston mansion, surveying his handiwork. The three n who had dared to co after him were dead, their family legacy in ruins. He had infiltrated one of the most well-defended mansions in the city and eliminated his enemies without a trace.

"Now," he muttered to himself as he turned to leave, "it's ti to deal with Leon Devereux."

But as he stepped out into the night, Wang Jian couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. The Langston family had paid the price for their arrogance, and now the path was clear for him to focus on the real challenge ahead.

Leon Devereux, with all his wealth, power, and obsession with won, wouldn't know what

hit him. Wang Jian was ready for whatever ca next-and he was determined to co out on top, no matter the cost.
