The Poisoned Fang

Then Evan smiled and beckoned to Yana Tyson, "Co on, I’ll use only one hand."

The mont those arrogant words echoed across the martial arena, the atmosphere inside the Lockheart Martial Arts Hall shifted.

The spectators seated around the arena exchanged glances. So frowned. So smirked. Others quietly observed with narrowed eyes, teacups paused halfway to their lips.

Outside the hall, wind brushed against the hanging red banners, making them flutter sharply like warning flags before battle.

Yana Tyson snorted coldly, her bright orange eyes flashing with irritation.

The way Evan stood there—one hand behind his back, chin slightly raised, gaze filled with contempt—made her blood boil.

That smug expression alone was enough to make her want to punch him straight in the face.

She slowly exhaled and adjusted her breathing.

Her long black hair swayed gently behind her as she lowered her stance. The curves of her toned figure tightened beneath her fitted dark combat attire, thighs flexing with restrained explosive force.

At this mont, she pushed away every distracting thought.

Fear.

Pressure.

Doubt.

All of it vanished.

Only battle remained.

The Tyson Family mbers behind her unconsciously tensed. Xavier Tyson clenched his fists tightly while several household elders stared nervously at the stage.

Because they all knew one thing.

If their plan failed today...

The Tyson Family would truly be finished.

Yana suddenly moved.

Her body shot forward like a black arrow tearing through the air.

She started with a punch aid straight at Evan’s throat.

The attack was swift and precise.

Even the air seed to split apart under the force of her fist.

Evan rely sneered.

He placed his left hand behind his back, and as he punched with his right hand, his gaze swept around.

He wanted to see if Lucas would remain seated after Yana Tyson was sent flying by his punch.

His eyes scanned the crowd coldly.

Every corner.

Every shadow.

Every suspicious face.

But he still could not sense Lucas anywhere.

That made him increasingly irritated.

Just as their fists were about to collide, Evan suddenly let out a scream and retreated a few steps.

"Agh—!"

The sharp cry echoed through the hall.

The entire audience froze.

Even the servants carrying tea almost dropped their trays.

What the hell was going on?

Could it be that Evan wasn’t a match for Yana Tyson?

Impossible.

That terrifying strength he displayed earlier was sothing everyone had witnessed personally.

How could he suddenly scream before the fists even properly collided?

Even Yana herself looked briefly stunned.

But only for a split second.

Because she imdiately understood.

Julian.

That shaless bastard really did it.

Her beautiful orange eyes flickered subtly toward the audience seats.

Though she couldn’t see him anywhere...

For so reason, she suddenly felt strangely reassured.

Evan, who had retreated a few steps, looked at his fist with a grimace.

Four needles were deeply embedded in his fist, and as the saying goes, "ten fingers connected to the heart," the pain was indeed excruciating.

The veins on his forehead bulged violently.

His fingers trembled.

The pain was not rely physical—it carried a burning numbness that spread rapidly through his nervous system.

His expression darkened instantly.

Without hesitation, he pulled the needles out one by one.

Tink.

Tink.

Tink.

Tink.

The black needles fell onto the arena floor.

When Evan saw the tips stained with dark poison, his pupils shrank.

With his dical skills, he could tell he had been poisoned.

A chilling sensation imdiately crawled across his spine.

Who did this?

Lucas?

No...

This style...

It was too vicious.

Too hidden.

Too shaless.

"You bitch, dare to play dirty with ?" he roared in anger, trying to force the poison out.

His roar shook the hall like thunder.

Terrifying Silver Realm pressure burst from his body, making nearby spectators pale.

Several weaker Iron Realm martial artists nearly coughed blood from the shockwave alone.

But Yana wouldn’t give him the chance.

The instant he focused on expelling the poison, she charged forward again.

Her boots cracked against the arena floor as she attacked relentlessly.

Punches.

Palm strikes.

Kicks.

Her attacks flowed together like a storm.

At the sa ti, the mbers of the Tyson Family also surged forward.

Today, the Tyson Family had brought over thirty people.

Among them were nine experts from the D’Aurelius, Valquin, and De Dominicis households, all Silver Realm experts.

Adding the Tyson Family mbers, their combat power was considerable.

The spectators erupted into chaos.

"What’s happening?!"

"The Tyson Family is actually ambushing him?"

"Who poisoned Evan?!"

"Move back!"

Several tables overturned as people hurried away from the stage.

The peaceful atmosphere of the Ancient Martial Arts Conference shattered completely in an instant.

anwhile, so of the household leaders secretly controlled by Evan had ugly expressions on their faces.

They wanted to help...

But sothing felt wrong.

Very wrong.

Their bodies suddenly felt sluggish.

Even their internal energy circulation seed slower than usual.

One old man lowered his teacup and frowned deeply.

Why was his vision spinning slightly?

The tea...

Was there sothing wrong with the tea?

Facing such a large group attack, Evan’s face turned ashen.

At this mont, his calm and superior deanor completely disappeared.

His eyes beca vicious like a cornered beast.

He knew this must be Lucas’s sche!

That guy had a viper-like nature, surely hiding in the shadows, waiting for a chance to deliver a fatal blow.

The more Evan thought about it, the angrier he beca.

He hated being manipulated.

Especially by Lucas.

Ever since childhood, that bastard had always been lurking behind him like a shadow.

Stealing opportunities.

Interfering with plans.

Trying to surpass him.

And now...

He was hiding again.

Waiting for him to exhaust himself before attacking.

"Cowardly rat..." Evan muttered inwardly, murderous intent boiling in his chest.

"Get lost."

After forcibly expelling so of the poison, Evan shouted angrily and kicked Yana Tyson away.

Boom!

The kick collided against her crossed arms violently.

Yana grunted painfully as her body flew backward several ters.

Her boots scraped across the arena floor, leaving long cracks behind.

Blood surged inside her chest.

But before Evan could continue attacking—

Three other Silver Realm experts were already closing in on him from all sides.

One attacked from behind with a saber.

Another struck toward his ribs with a fist.

The third targeted his legs directly.

Their coordination was surprisingly sharp.

Clearly prepared beforehand.

Evan’s face twisted with fury.

"Noisy insects!"

Boom!

Terrifying energy erupted from his body.

The nearby arena tiles exploded apart instantly.

Several people were directly blown backward by the shockwave.

At this mont, Evan no longer hid his strength.

The terrifying aura pouring from his body surged wildly through the hall like a tsunami.

The spectators’ expressions changed dramatically.

"Peak Silver Realm?!"

"How is that possible?!"

"He was hiding his cultivation?"

Even Charvi Lockheart was stunned.

He knew Evan was strong.

But he never imagined he had already reached such a terrifying level.

Yana wiped blood from the corner of her lips as her orange eyes narrowed dangerously.

Peak Silver Realm.

No wonder he was this arrogant.

He had intended to pretend he was still at the mid-Silver Realm to lure Lucas in.

But the current situation no longer allowed him to hold back.

The poison needles.

The ambush.

The coordinated assault.

Everything had already pushed him beyond his limit of patience.

The killing intent in his eyes beca terrifyingly dense.

At this mont, the entire arena felt suffocating.

So weaker martial artists subconsciously stepped backward.

Others looked around nervously.

Because one thing beca very clear now.

Today’s Ancient Martial Arts Conference...

Was no longer a competition.

It had beco a killing field.

Evan slowly raised his head.

His cold black eyes swept across the Tyson Family mbers one by one like he was already looking at corpses.

Then his gaze locked onto Yana Tyson again.

A cruel smile gradually spread across his face.

"Die."
