A Genius’s Price
After calming down the crowd, Julian said in a loud voice,
"Everyone, I’ve already taken care of the Steffan situation."
His voice carried across the courtyard, drawing the attention of every martial artist present.
The atmosphere that had been tense monts ago was now filled with excitent and relief.
Many of them had arrived today expecting disaster.
Instead, they had witnessed a miracle.
A young man who had single-handedly forced back a terrifying Gold Realm expert.
Julian swept his gaze across the crowd before continuing.
"If you encounter similar troubles in the future, I’ll help you out if I have the ti."
Several people’s eyes lit up.
A promise from soone like Julian carried enormous weight.
"With around, the Old Martial Arts world of Valemont will never allow outsiders to insult us easily!"
His declaration imdiately ignited the crowd.
Cheers erupted from every direction.
Many disciples looked at him with admiration.
Several older martial artists nodded repeatedly.
A few even looked emotional.
Julian shouted to the group of snitches.
[Finally got to act all pretentious today.]
[Isn’t it ti to win over you people?]
[From now on, follow sincerely, got it?]
The mont Yana Tyson heard those thoughts, the admiration that had just started rebuilding inside her instantly shattered again.
Her eyelid twitched.
A mont ago he looked like a heroic protector.
The next mont his inner voice sounded like a gang leader recruiting underlings.
She honestly didn’t know whether to laugh or hit him.
This guy is so unreliable!
The snitches couldn’t hear Julian’s inner voice.
To them, he looked like a rising legend.
They all expressed that Young Master Julian was powerful and virtuous, and from today onwards, the Old Martial Arts forces of Valemont would follow Young Master Julian loyally.
The complints arrived one after another.
"Youth Master Julian is truly a dragon among n!"
"With Young Master Julian here, nobody will dare bully Valemont again!"
"A true hero!"
"A true master!"
Julian maintained a calm smile.
Inside, he was enjoying every second.
After a round of flattery, the group left cheerfully.
Days without Steffan’s threat were truly good days!
Soon the noisy courtyard beca significantly quieter.
Only the Tyson Family mbers remained.
Julian stretched slightly.
His muscles still ached from the battle.
The temporary Gold Realm power had vanished long ago.
If anyone challenged him right now, things would beco awkward very quickly.
Fortunately, nobody seed interested.
After fooling this group, Julian noticed that Yana didn’t seem too happy.
Her arms were folded beneath her chest.
Her orange eyes deliberately avoided his gaze.
The more he looked, the more obvious it beca.
She was pouting.
Julian couldn’t help finding it amusing.
He walked closer.
The afternoon sunlight illuminated her long black hair.
Her expression remained stubborn.
"What’s wrong?"
Yana looked away.
A strange feeling lingered in her chest.
Today she had genuinely been prepared to risk everything for him.
Yet throughout the entire situation, he had hidden his true trump card.
She understood everyone had secrets.
But for so reason...
It still bothered her.
She felt foolish.
Like she had been the only one worrying.
"Nothing."
Yana snorted coldly and turned her head away, not wanting to see him for the mont.
Julian blinked.
Then he understood.
Oh.
She’s upset.
A mischievous smile slowly appeared.
"How did I do with your family’s two ancient martial arts techniques today?"
Julian D’Aurelius asked with a mischievous grin.
Seeing Julian’s smug face, she felt a surge of anger.
The guy looked like a peacock showing off.
"Fine, fine, you’re the best, okay? A master of the Gold Realm."
She stomped her foot heavily.
The movent caused several strands of black hair to sway behind her.
"So annoying!"
As she took a few steps, Julian called out with a cheeky smile.
"Oh, I was going to give so pointers on martial arts training since I’m in a good mood today."
"If soone isn’t interested, never mind, I have to go back and play gas with my sexy girls."
Yana’s raised foot froze mid-step.
The Tyson Family elders imdiately exchanged glances.
A few almost laughed.
Everyone could see exactly what Julian was doing.
And sohow...
It was working.
Yana’s expression darkened.
Training.
Training.
This was purely for training.
Nothing else.
Absolutely nothing else.
She repeated those words internally.
Then she unwillingly turned back.
"Just for the sake of training, I’ll chat with this bastard a bit more."
She comforted herself with these words and reluctantly turned back to face Julian without speaking.
Julian almost laughed.
She’s easy to tease.
Far too easy.
[She really ca back.]
[Martial arts addicts are terrifying.]
[If I told her jumping into a lake would improve cultivation she’d probably consider it.]
Yana’s cheeks imdiately reddened.
"You—"
She nearly spoke aloud.
Fortunately she stopped herself.
Julian looked confused.
"What?"
"Nothing."
She gritted her teeth.
The man was infuriating.
Completely infuriating.
"But I can’t teach you for free, give a shoulder massage, my shoulders are killing ."
Julian walked inside and sat down in a chair with a big grin.
The entire Tyson Family courtyard beca silent.
Several elders looked away.
A few younger disciples nearly choked.
Even Wren Tyson raised an eyebrow.
Yana Tyson almost couldn’t resist punching him.
Her fists clenched.
Her eye twitched.
She had never served anyone in her life!
Never.
Not once.
She was the Tyson Family’s genius.
A martial arts fanatic.
A proud woman.
And this bastard wanted a massage?
[Co on.]
[You were willing to risk your life earlier.]
[Surely a shoulder massage isn’t harder than fighting a Gold Realm expert.]
Yana’s face beca even redder.
Not from embarrassnt.
From anger.
Mostly.
Probably.
"It’s all for training."
She took a deep breath.
Then another.
Then another.
The words beca her mantra.
"It’s all for training."
Julian leaned back comfortably.
Yana slowly walked behind him.
For a brief mont she looked down at the back of his head.
Her gaze softened slightly.
Despite everything...
He really had protected everyone today.
Including her.
That thought weakened her anger considerably.
Only slightly.
She placed her hands on Julian’s shoulders with a blank expression and started kneading hard.
Very hard.
Painfully hard.
Julian imdiately winced.
"Ouch."
"Too much force."
"You asked for a massage."
"You didn’t specify a gentle one."
Julian laughed.
Yana almost smiled.
Almost.
The two continued bickering while the Tyson Family watched.
Several elders exchanged amused looks.
Wren Tyson sighed inwardly.
His daughter had always been difficult.
Stubborn.
Proud.
Obsessed with martial arts.
Yet sohow this young man could constantly provoke reactions from her.
That alone was impressive.
anwhile Julian continued enjoying himself.
[Not bad.]
[Strong hands.]
[Very comfortable.]
Yana rolled her eyes.
Then another thought arrived.
[Though honestly she’s prettier when she’s angry.]
The pressure from Yana’s hands instantly doubled.
Julian nearly jumped.
"What did I do now?"
"You talk too much."
Julian looked genuinely confused.
Yana imdiately looked away.
If only he knew.
The Tyson Family mbers watching this scene didn’t say anything.
Ahem, if their young lady could be fooled by such a talented young man, it was a blessing.
