"Master, just tell what I need to do. I’ll cooperate with everything!"

The rfolk was now full of fighting spirit, no longer the hopeless creature it had been before.

"Did Mo Wentian do sothing to your Sea of Consciousness?"

Song Wanning swept her gaze across the rfolk’s Sea of Consciousness. She had her suspicions, but she needed a definitive answer.

He was, after all, a veteran Nascent Soul Cultivator, with plenty of thods she might not know about.

"Yes! He planted a Gu in my Sea of Consciousness!"

The rfolk was so furious just thinking about it that it felt like spitting blood. That man had originally wanted to form a contract with it, but it had resisted to the death. He couldn’t force it, and he was also worried Mo Rou would find out after the contract was made, so he ultimately chose to plant a Gu instead.

The Child Gu was in its Sea of Consciousness, while the Mother Gu was with Mo Wentian.

Suddenly, a thought struck it, and its eyes widened. "Master, does this an Mo Wentian has already sensed sothing is wrong? Shouldn’t we run? If he cos, we won’t be able to escape!"

The rfolk had been traumatized by Mo Wentian’s thods and imdiately wanted to flee with Song Wanning.

But Song Wanning cut it off. "Even if he senses sothing is wrong, he’ll only suspect that you’re the one acting up."

The Gu worm could sense disturbances in the rfolk’s Sea of Consciousness, but unlike a Divine Soul, it couldn’t clearly observe what was happening.

So, she wasn’t worried for the ti being.

Besides, even if he was worried sothing was amiss, Mo Wentian wouldn’t dare to co over recklessly right now.

The opportunity to take down Mo Rou was rare, and he wouldn’t want to waste it.

She narrowed her eyes, her Divine Soul once again searching everywhere within the rfolk’s Sea of Consciousness.

’I was right. It really is a Gu technique.’

In her past life, it had been revealed that Mo Wentian knew the Witchcraft and Gu Technique of the Witch Clan, but since it wasn’t considered a demonic art, it hadn’t caused much of a stir.

Song Wanning didn’t know much about the Witchcraft and Gu Technique, but she knew that if the Child Gu was destroyed, the Mother Gu would also be damaged.

This was the opportunity she had ntioned to Mo Rou. If they couldn’t seize it this ti, then there was nothing more she could do.

She couldn’t possibly go and kill soone personally for the Mo Family’s sake; that wasn’t her style.

The Child Gu was extrely cunning. After searching several tis, she had found nothing.

Song Wanning raised an eyebrow. The black and white ring of light appeared once more, enveloping the Sea of Consciousness again.

The ring of light quickly bound the Sea of Consciousness, tightening little by little toward the center.

This ti, the rfolk felt no discomfort. It just widened its eyes, searching for any sign of the Gu worm.

As the ring of light tightened bit by bit, they finally noticed sothing strange—sothing was trying to escape.

Song Wanning’s figure flickered, and she shot straight toward the disturbance.

A flash of sword light slashed down, and a Child Gu worm instantly burst out, twisting its body as it desperately tried to flee.

The Gu worm was a bluish-gray color, its body covered in fat, which made it look even more greasy and disgusting when it writhed.

Seeing the sword light approach, it moved even faster.

To save its own life, it no longer cared about its host and made a beeline for the outside of the rfolk’s Sea of Consciousness.

In the main hall, Mo Rou was waiting anxiously.

So much ti had passed, yet there was no movent from the rfolk. She had no idea if Song Wanning had succeeded.

If Song Wanning hadn’t told her beforehand not to interfere, she would have already gone in to check.

She was afraid that if this dragged on any longer, Mo Wentian would sense that sothing was wrong!

Mo Rou clenched her fists in frustration. As she was lost in thought, sothing suddenly shot out of the rfolk’s head.

The thing was so fast that Mo Rou couldn’t even get a clear look at it before it lunged toward the door.

"Where do you think you’re going!"

She instantly guessed the thing was related to Mo Wentian and attacked at once.

But unexpectedly, a Golden Small Sword shot past her, grazing her cheek as it flew toward the object.

SWOOSH—

A flash of sword light streaked by like a shooting star.

SCREECH—

The thing let out a piercing shriek before exploding into a bloody mist within the sword light.

It all happened in the blink of an eye; she didn’t even have a chance to strike.

The sharp, chilling killing intent from the Golden Small Sword as it passed still seed to linger by her cheek.

’If that Golden Small Sword had been aid at ...’

A chill ran through Mo Rou’s heart. She quickly pushed the thought away and notified the helpers she had waiting in ambush.

When she looked up again, she saw the Golden Small Sword calmly fly past her, leisurely returning to Song Wanning’s Sea of Consciousness.

"I’m heading out first. Wait for here!"

Mo Rou, now certain that Song Wanning was fine, couldn’t wait for her to co out and flew out of the main hall.

...

At the exact mont the Child Gu was obliterated, Mo Wentian’s eyes flew open, and he violently spat out a mouthful of blood.

He looked up in shock and hurriedly tried to suppress the chaotic Spiritual Energy within his body.

"How could this happen?"

PFFT—

Mo Wentian coughed up more blood. With the Child Gu destroyed, he had suffered a severe backlash. Not only was his Spiritual Energy running rampant, but the flow in his ridians had also begun to reverse.

If Mo Rou were to show up now, he would be in grave danger.

Without a second thought, Mo Wentian burst out the door, preparing to leave this place of conflict.

However, as soon as he opened the door, he saw three Nascent Soul Cultivators already waiting in his courtyard.

The next mont, Mo Rou arrived as well, flying down from mid-air and landing in the courtyard.

At the sa ti, Array Patterns rose into the air, firmly sealing off his entire courtyard.

Mo Wentian’s pupils shrank. "Mo Rou, you tricked ?!"

He had been told that only the Second Elder from Mo Rou’s faction was at ho, but now, the other two who were supposed to be away had appeared in his courtyard.

The thought of being played for a fool made Mo Wentian’s killing intent boil. He gritted his teeth and glared at Mo Rou, while simultaneously trying to send a ssage to his own people.

"Hmph. Enough talk."

Mo Rou wasn’t about to give Mo Wentian a chance to stall for ti. She gave the order, and the four of them imdiately closed in on him.

The other three had also been waiting for this day for far too long. Each of them surged toward Mo Wentian, radiating killing intent.

"Heh, it seems I underestimated you. To think you even knew that I practice the Witchcraft and Gu Technique!"

Mo Wentian knew he had been too careless. He leaped into the air and counterattacked the four of them.

But he was also baffled. He was the only one who knew about his Gu techniques; not even his closest confidants were aware.

This whole affair with the rfolk was orchestrated by him from start to finish. There was no way the secret could have gotten out.

And yet, not only did Mo Rou know, but she had also destroyed the Child Gu he had worked so hard to cultivate, causing him to suffer a backlash and catching him completely off guard.

But he soon had no ti for a war of words. Although the four of them were individually weaker than him, they were all at their peak, while he was injured.

Before long, all sorts of brilliant lights began flashing in the sky above the Mo Family estate.

Fortunately, the Array concealed the scene, so no one could see what was happening inside.

The disciples of the Mo Family were drawn by the lights, their faces filled with anxiety as they stared in that direction.

Just then, two more Nascent Soul Cultivators arrived—they were from Mo Wentian’s side.

"Dammit! The fight has already started!"

"Wentian is injured! We have to help him now!"

As they spoke, the two of them flew toward the Array.
