The sll of explosives and acrid smoke filled the air for a kiloter in every direction.
The ground shook violently, and the cave entrance was quickly buried under rubble.
Only after a few minutes did the aftershocks of the explosion finally cease.
Once everything fell silent, Song Wanning flew back swiftly with Bai Yang. Longsword in hand, she swung powerfully at the buried cave, sending rock and earth flying as she searched for Peng Yu.
Two minutes later, the buried Peng Yu was finally uncovered. Her aura was faint, and her already injured body had been mangled by the talisman treasure’s explosion. Large sections of bone were exposed, a truly wretched sight.
When she opened her mouth, a puff of black smoke erged. Even Song Wanning couldn’t help the corners of her lips from curling up, almost letting out a laugh.

"You—" Peng Yu tremblingly raised her one movable hand, her eyes filled with unspeakable rage and resentnt.
’I was so close to succeeding, but Feng Youming ambushed ! How else could I have ended up like this?’

Bai Yang felt a surge of satisfaction. With a cold shout, he strode forward and kicked Peng Yu hard.

She glared at Bai Yang with venomous eyes. "You little brat! Don’t think you’re safe just because I’m dead! Your master won’t let you off either!"
"Feng Youming, I know you must be tempted by ascension. If you spare , I’ll tell you everything. How about it?"
She had struggled for half her life, even committing countless vile acts, all for the sake of ascension.
She refused to wait for death in obscurity like the generations before her.
Now, with success just one step away, how could she possibly accept this?
