"Can anyone tell what infinite theorems are?" the lady professor with large glasses and bright orange hair asked.

The class was filled with students, everyone had a notebook in front of them.

Many students seed to know the answer, but so were afraid, while others simply didn’t care.

A few avoided her gaze, keeping their eyes fixed on their pages or the desk.

No one raised their hand.

She frowned slightly, then pointed straight at the back corner.

"Timmy Nathan," she said clearly. "Can you answer?"

A green-haired boy with thin glasses slowly stood up. His hands were tight at his sides. He looked small and shy.

"Y-yes... I can," he said in a quiet voice.

The professor smiled. "Good. Then tell the whole class... What are infinite theorems?"

Timmy took a deep breath. He closed his eyes for a second.

When he spoke again, his voice ca out steady and clear, no stuttering.

"Infinite theorems are the secret formulas that spell casters use to build spells."

"For example, when a spell caster wants to use a spell, whether it is defensive or offensive, they must theorize the structure of the spell in their ntal projection and use it as a skeleton for the spell. That’s what infinite theorems are."

He let out a long breath and opened his eyes.

The room stayed completely silent.

The professor’s smile grew even wider.

"Exactly right, Timmy," she said softly. "Exactly right."

Timmy’s turned a bit red from the praise.

"Now sit," the professor said with a smile.

Timmy scratched his head awkwardly. His face was still a little red, and he quickly sat down.

"Aren’t you a smart one," a voice said from beside him.

The mont he heard that voice, Timmy’s expression changed.

"I told you not to talk to , didn’t I?" he said. His face showed a frown, but inside he was very afraid.

He turned his head. A boy with golden eyes and blonde hair ca into his view.

"I heard what you did yesterday. You proposed to Rosalina Valentina. Do you even know who she is? She is one of the generational geniuses of the Three Continents, along with Julius Augustus Hayes."

"So?" Julius asked calmly as he listened.

"What do you an, so? She is also the daughter of the Valentina clan patriarch.

I’m telling you, run away if they co—"

He stopped speaking. Fear filled his eyes just from saying the na.

Julius raised a finger and blew on it lightly.

"Didn’t anyone tell you the na of the person who proposed to her?"

Timmy frowned. "Of course it was you. Why would I need to know the na?"

Truthfully, he did not even have the courage to ask for the na yesterday.

A few hours after he guided Julius, he heard the news. A madman had proposed to that arrogant Rosalina Valentina.

He was so afraid that he did not even have the strength to ask who it was.

He quickly ran out of the academy and spent the whole day wrapped in a mattress, afraid that he might get dragged into the matter.

When he ca to the academy today, he saw the sa boy again. But before he could escape—

"Ah, Timid Nathan. Long ti no see, buddy."

That was how he got dragged away by Julius.

"You don’t need to be afraid," Julius said, breaking Timmy’s thoughts. "There isn’t anyone in this world who can separate from my Rose."

Timmy’s eyes shook. He looked like he was about to cry from panic.

’This madman will drag into a swamp,’ he thought bitterly.

But he could not even imagine that Julius’s next words would truly make him lose his mind.

"And as for her father? He can’t do anything. My father would beat him if he tried to touch ," Julius said with full confidence.

"Are you crazy?" Timmy shouted, though only his expression showed it. "Her father is the patriarch of the Valentina—"

Before he could finish, Julius interrupted him.

"And my father is the patriarch of the Hayes clan. And I am his only son."

"....."

Julius smiled as he enjoyed Timmy’s reaction.

From the mories of the Julius of this world, he knew it had only been a week since he entered the academy, and he had not attended a single class.

So it was obvious that no one would recognize him.

"And the once-in-a-generation genius you were talking about? Julius Augustus Hayes?" He smiled wider. "Yeah, that’s ."

"..."

Timmy stayed silent. His expression kept changing, anger, regret, fear, shock.

Every emotion showed on his face. It was like a traffic signal that would not stop changing.

Julius smiled gently and patted Timmy on the back.

In his previous life, he had many friends at first.

But after his parents died, he changed. He beca a little crazy, and one by one, everyone left him.

However, this was his new life. Here, he had everything.

Even though Timmy did not see him as a friend yet, Julius already did.

"Don’t worry," Julius said with a smile. "From yesterday, you beca my friend. If anyone tries to bully you—"

Before he could finish, the professor’s voice echoed through the classroom.

Before he could finish, the professor’s voice echoed through the classroom.

"Class, "I’m sorry to say this, but it’s clear now: not all of you are at the sa level."

She let her gaze move slowly across the rows.

So faces lifted with smug little smirks, arrogance practically glowing.

Others shrank down, eyes on their desks, shoulders tight with sha or fear.

The professor’s expression didn’t change. She spoke calmly, like she was stating a simple fact.

"It is not your fault. Many of you co from commoner families. You never had private tutors, family grimoires, or years of basic spell theory drilled into you before you even arrived here. The academy has taken that into account."

She paused, letting the words settle.

"And we have reached a decision."

She took a deep breath. Every single person in the room was staring right at her.

Their eyes were fixed, waiting. She let out a long, heavy breath, then spoke in a clear voice.

"The academy will hold a competition between the first-year students and the second-year students."

The instant the words "second year" left her mouth, Julius’s eyes lit up like stars.

His heart jumped. He whispered under his breath, almost to himself,

"Second year...?"
