Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master! Chapter 150: I Want Double Compensation When I Return
After a busy day, it was already late when she returned to the hotel.
She took out her phone and realized that Landon Ford had sent her a ssage.
Landon: [I heard you went to another city?]
Thea Shaw was too busy to check her phone earlier, so she imdiately replied.
Thea: [Yep, there was a business deal out of town that I just wrapped up, and I made a million dollars.]
She felt elated.
Landon Ford called with a voice ssage, his deep, magnetic voice was soothing to hear: "Spreading feudal superstitions sowhere again?"
Not a very nice thing to say.
Thea was a bit annoyed: "How am I spreading feudal superstitions? Obviously, I was saving a rich but naive young woman and her lovely mother."
She briefly recounted the situation with the Morgan family and shared her opinion: "Frankly speaking, given the Morgan family’s situation, having soone like Nora Morgan is already Diana Miles’ strong genes saving the world. Why insist on having a son? It’ll just bring more heartbreak all his life. What’s wrong with daughters? Can’t daughters inherit the family business?"
"Oh, so it’s an act of playing dumb."
Landon Ford wasn’t particularly interested in anything outside of Thea, especially when Thea voluntarily reported such things, he was even more disinclined to listen to other people’s nonsense. He directly asked: "What ti are you coming back tomorrow morning?"
Thea wanted to disagree: "Why must it be in the morning, why not in the afternoon? I plan to take a good look around this city."
Landon seed to hold back sothing when he replied: "Did you forget about the weekend? What you promised ?"
"...Ah!"
Thea suddenly rembered that she had to visit Landon’s grandpa.
It was just that with everything that happened these past few days, she had been too busy to rember.
She chuckled awkwardly: "I was just kidding, I’ll be back tomorrow morning."
Landon seed satisfied with that: "No need to go ho, I’ll pick you up at the airport, and we’ll go directly to my grandpa’s."
Thea: "Alright, but I ca with Aunt Yvette Vaughn, it wouldn’t be nice not to give her a ride ho."
"I’ll send another driver."
"... "
The extravagance of the wealthy.
Thea reluctantly agreed with a hum.
Hearing her reluctance, Landon chuckled and suddenly said: "No goodnight kiss tonight, you’ll have to make it up double when you return."
Thea: "..."
The ntion of a goodnight kiss brought back thoughts of last night’s indecent dream and what had happened.
This progression was beyond ridiculous.
Thea criticized indignantly: "No sense of restraint!"
Landon chuckled lowly. At this mont, a sowhat distant voice seed to call out: "President Ford..."
Landon said: "Alright, I have to go to a eting. If you’re flying tomorrow morning, get so rest early, sleep well, and don’t look at photos or videos tonight, it’ll affect your sleep."
Thea: "..."
It’s been two days since you sent anything—cough!
She quickly asked another question: "So what should I bring as a gift for Grandpa Ford tomorrow?"
Landon replied: "No need to bring anything, just you will suffice. He lives in a nursing ho and doesn’t need any of that. I’ll hang up now, be good, get so rest early, goodnight, Thea."
And with that, he hung up.
He intentionally lowered his voice for that last line, laced with a hint of amusent, sending shivers down Thea’s spine.
But she had to admit it was indeed suffocatingly affectionate, making her shiver.
Her master always said male charm is misleading, and it makes sense.
Tonight she will recite the ’Tao Te Ching’ three hundred tis to cleanse her already wavering soul!
