"You actually lent her money?" Lauren was a little surprised. "Did she say when she’d pay it back?"

Thea: "I just found out she blocked ..."

Lauren: "..."

Lauren couldn’t believe Yvonne actually targeted Thea, frowning she said, "You two were so close as kids, how could she bear to con you?"

"Maybe she’s really desperate."

Honestly, a thousand bucks isn’t much to Thea right now, she wasn’t even considering going to the police.

There was no need for Thea to bother; it seed Yvonne had run off owing quite a few people, and soone would surely report it.

Lauren tily suggested, "Do you want to report it?"

Thea furrowed her brow and thought for a mont: "Not for now. What’s her situation now, are the creditors from her hotown after her?"

"Seems like there are quite a few," Lauren said. "I’ve heard she’s in debt for at least a hundred grand outside, bound to cause big trouble eventually. Her family hasn’t had any major changes, don’t know what’s going on."

Lauren wasn’t clear about the situation either. Being conned out of a thousand, especially by a childhood friend, left Thea feeling a bit upset, but more than that, she wondered what Yvonne had gone through.

After a while, Mr. Shaw ca back with Chloe Shaw from work, and both were quite happy to see Thea.
