Now reading: Chapter 511: Girl from Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!, a Romance novel by Gui Mushuang.

Thea Shaw listened carefully for a while.

The content of the Bible seed normal, likely just traditional Christian content.

She found a seat not far from Mrs. Quinn, with plenty of space around her. The other person had her eyes closed all along, so it seed impossible for her to notice Thea.

But the mont Thea sat down, Mrs. Quinn slightly opened her eyes.

She didn’t turn around, so Thea couldn’t see.

She waited for the prayer to end, which took about an hour.

The patience Thea honed in Qirenia served her well. During this hour, she kept her composure and listened to the priest chant for the entire hour.

She admired only this: the priest managed to go an entire hour without drinking water.

Such lung capacity, absolutely impressive!

Once it all ended, people inside the church filed out one by one.

Finally, Thea found her opportunity.

Being soone who didn’t act conventionally, the best way to satisfy her curiosity about soone was to approach them.

How to approach?

"Mrs. Quinn."

Thea called out to Mrs. Quinn, who was leaving, with a smile.

Serena Quinn turned around.

Her eyes carried a slight compassion towards the world, and when she looked at Thea, there was a hint of a smile on her lips. Her eyes showed neither sadness nor joy, like a sea without any visible waves.

With the genes of a mixed-race family, her features were exquisite.

"You’re the little girl from the funeral."

After a long pause, Mrs. Quinn spoke with a smile.

"Yes, indeed."

Thea admitted her identity straightforwardly, "My na is Thea Shaw. It’s presumptuous of to bother Mrs. Quinn for the first ti, but you look very much like a friend I used to have, so I wanted to ask if you have a daughter."

Thea had beco adept at fabricating fibs. After all, being a fortune teller, she was good at making things up, her expression tinged with a bit of lancholy: "My friend left without saying goodbye back then, and I have not found her since. Suddenly seeing Mrs. Quinn, I felt a resemblance, and wondered if you might be her family? That’s why I approached you, hoping not to offend."

"Oh?"

Mrs. Quinn’s smile was gentle: "You’re mistaken. I might resemble your friend, but I don’t have any children."

It was a made-up story to begin with, so it would’ve been odd if it were true.

Mrs. Quinn spoke with such tranquility, the kind that imdiately calms the mind, and there’s a particularly elegant charm to it.

Such a woman seems perfectly suited for being revered by others.

Thea found this aura very familiar, which is why she fixated on Mrs. Quinn.

"I see." She showed disappointnt: "Perhaps I really did mistake you. Mrs. Quinn, I apologize for disturbing you."

Mrs. Quinn also smiled and asked, "I saw you at the funeral, are you a relative of Mrs. Seymour?"

"Oh no, my father and Mrs. Seymour are business partners. We were all very sorry when that happened, so my father brought to pay respects to that uncle."

Mrs. Quinn nodded knowingly and was about to say sothing else when a voice called out.

"Serena!"

It was a young and beautiful voice, like a songbird.

Thea looked in the direction of the voice and saw a delicate girl in her twenties looking at her.

Unlike the look from others, this girl showed vigilance at the first glance she cast at Thea.

Indeed, vigilance.

She called out to Mrs. Quinn, clearly had a close relationship with Serena, and as she approached, her gaze stayed on Thea while saying, "We should be going, there’s another eting at 11."

She was from a different generation than Serena, yet she addressed Mrs. Quinn by her first na, which struck Thea as a bit odd.
