Now reading: Chapter 513: Domestic Violence from Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!, a Romance novel by Gui Mushuang.

Thea Shaw gave Landon Ford the address and all the information about the church.

He quickly investigated, and within half an hour, Landon Ford called and said, "St. Elara’s Cathedral is just an ordinary church, but it was funded by the Quinn Family many years ago. Not many people know this."

"The Quinn Family?"

Thea Shaw thought of Mrs. Quinn.

She squinted her eyes and continued to listen as Landon said, "I’ve already retrieved all the information on those sick individuals. There must be video records of them when they visited Fenmore."

It’s not impossible to track their whereabouts in Fenmore, but individuals don’t tend to frequent the sa places consistently.

To identify commonalities, surveillance records need to be retrieved, which is clearer than text.

However, this is also a vast undertaking.

The surveillance video from years ago must be retrieved from many places before it can be obtained.

At that mont, inside the church, Thea saw that woman seemingly coming out.

If not for her sharp eyes, she wouldn’t have recognized her from such a distance.

"That lady’s out!"

Thea said, "I’m going to follow and see her situation. I’ll let you know if I find anything."

"Okay, I’ll check out the church."

The two of them divided tasks. Thea got up and followed after the woman.

The woman happened to walk in Thea’s direction.

This area was part of the old city district of Fenmore, but not the characteristic ancient architecture of Fenmore. It began developing over twenty years ago. It might have been trendy back then, but as the new city district beca more prosperous, this area began to decline.

Now, most residents are either locals or people who ca to work in Fenmore.

Tourists generally avoid this area.

These buildings are mostly a few stories high, with no tall buildings, forming a stark contrast with the skyscrapers on the other side of Fenmore.

The woman walked quickly, and as she passed by, it seed like everyone knew her, looking at her with disdain.

Thea’s keen hearing caught their discussions.

"It really slls..."

"It’s so odd. What’s wrong with her family? Can’t she sll it herself?"

"Maybe it’s sothing stuck on her she can’t wash off. Don’t say that; she’s unlucky enough. Her husband beats her every day, and her son isn’t even filial. So won have such hard lives."

...

The woman may have heard the comnts too; she kept her head down, her small fra hurrying along.

Thea followed at a steady pace, maintaining a suitable and non-suspicious distance.

Thea’s striking appearance still attracted attention, but most residents here were elderly folks who were only mildly curious and not as amazed as those outside.

Thea followed the woman and saw her enter a residential building.

It would be too conspicuous to follow into the residential building, and since the woman had just co out of the church, Thea couldn’t guarantee she hadn’t been noticed.

There was a large supermarket outside the building, so Thea pretended to go in to buy sothing, wandering around for a while.

While holding a few packs of snacks, she continued to ponder how the woman contracted the illness.

And where did this mysterious illness suddenly co from—was it an accident or deliberate?

While she was deep in thought, a loud commotion abruptly erupted outside.

"You’ve been out half the day, didn’t you say you were going to buy groceries? Where are they?"
