’Those fuckers are alive! Those fuckers are my kids!’
The two thoughts collided in Kain’s mind. The three monsters who almost destroyed the New World were his kids. His soul followed them for more than ten years.
He saw every struggle, every betrayal. He went from despising their weakness to admiring their strength. He rembered the strength they possessed, how many people they killed. He knew everything.
He thought of them as entertainnt for so many years. He grew attached to them at so point, though he would never admit it. And now, the three who had almost torn the world apart stood before him as tiny tots. And they were his kids.
Despite their gaunt faces, he could see the handsoness and beauty of their later years. Both boys had his distinct silver hair and violet eyes, while the girl followed her mother with blonde hair and green eyes.
His mind spiraled. He wasn’t sure which way to turn or how to make heads or tails of the situation. Just as he was about to sink deeper into his thoughts, he felt soone pinch his waist.
He looked over to see Alia glaring at him, jealousy written in her eyes.
Reigning in his thoughts, he leaned in and whispered, "Are you jealous of your own kids? Don’t worry, I’ll treat you better than I treat them."
The response was yet another pinch. He pressed his lips into a flat line and let her pinch as she pleased. When she was satisfied, she let go.
At this ti, the children had been standing in front of them, watching the display. The little girl stretched out both hands and attempted to pinch the two brothers on either side of her.
They dodged as if expecting it, then looked at their sister with wary expressions. This was the most expressive Kain and Alia had seen the three children since they arrived.
Kain shook his head. That kind of agility ca from years of being hit. This tiny girl must pack quite the punch. The corner of Kain’s lip quivered, and he looked at Alia. Definitely just like her mother.
Kain opened his mouth to speak when he heard the system chi.
[Mission: The children are hungry. Both parents should work together to create a ho-cooked al.]

A bewildered look appeared on the faces of Alia and Kain. They expected the children not to trust them, but they never expected an attack.
The corner of Kain’s lip twitched. As the person staying with the kids at night. He would be the one who got attacked. Alia was supposed to leave, but now, he decided that if he had to face it, so did she.
"Jake, you and Veronica, go ahead and do what you need to do. You still have the card, use it to get sothing to eat."
Receiving the notice to leave, the two left quickly. Now, in the living room, there were two adults and three children.
Alia laughed sowhat awkwardly, "Let’s...let’s go get you sothing to eat. You should be hungry."
There was no need for small talk. The kids didn’t talk, and the notion of possibly being attacked made Alia and Kain tense. Kain appeared more effortlessly tense than Alia.
His years taught him to look harmless and strike first.
If not for the fact that he was supposed to be helping them grow up, he might have already incapacitated them. As for the system punishnt, he still rembered it. If he could be shocked for minor neglect, then breaking an arm or leg would definitely be punished.
The silent children watched the two adults. Their eyes trailed after them, but they didn’t follow.
"Brother," Avery said, "these parents are weird."
"I think they’re pretty good," Ashton replied.
"They’re both ten," Dominic said coldly.
Avery’s and Ashton’s eyes flitted from their parents to Dominic. They knew what a ten ant. A ten was a value they had never heard from their brother before. Even they didn’t have a ten.
They knew their brother placed value on the lives of the people around them. It was an innate ability he possessed. He could determine how well a person would treat them, whether they needed to stay alive to be useful, and all sorts of other things.
Because of his ability, they were able to move smoothly in the world. Though they were often transferred to new places. They knew who they could use to get the things they wanted.
Now hearing that their ’parents’ were tens, they felt a bit complex. This ant that not only were the people in front of them indispensable, but they were likely linked to their survival.
"Brother, I don’t care if they’re ten. Even if he helped before, I still have to test them."
Dominic didn’t respond. He was still staring at the glaring ten. He watched it fade until he couldn’t see it anymore.
"Brother, if brother doesn’t want them, then I don’t want them either," ca Avery’s voice.
"We don’t need to decide now. You can test them tonight."
The conversation between the siblings wasn’t heard by their parents. Their communication was completed through the telepathic link they shared.
Yet another ability they did not tell the people at the lab about.
Although they are young, their minds work quickly. They knew if they showed any hint of being exceptional, they would be tested and experinted on. To stop that from happening, they did everything they could to pretend to be ordinary.
On the other side, Alia saw the three little ones standing there, staring at them. She called them over.
The food they cooked wasn’t exceptionally tasty, but it was good enough to fill their stomachs, and no one would end up with a stomachache. After ensuring they were full, they brought them to the room they had prepared for them.
They would spend the night in here and hopefully not want to kill their parents.
As for Alia and Kain, they went back to Kain’s room.
