In a slightly spacious office with a common background, a youth with grey hair and eyes could be seen cultivating. There were strong spirit energy fluctuations coming from him that it created a vortex that sucked spirit energy into his body.
The corrosive substance that was also siphoned inside was endlessly devoured by his shadow, which turned inkier and darker with each and every passing second.
That youth was naturally Grey. After the spinning vortex of Spirit energy disappeared, he slowly opened his eyes. There, a faint glimr of purple shone that would make anyone present not to fall on the floor with a strong sense of nausea and vertigo.
Grey checked the ti and saw that it was close to midnight. He then rembered his plan of going on a midnight hunt for wanted criminals. So it was a good thing he had woken up.
Grey could feel that the Ninth level was getting closer, all he needed was a wild push to get him over the edge.
After checking his Jade slip for the latest criminals info, Grey couldn’t help but curl his lips slightly and head outside. There, he took off the badge of the Detective Agency Departnt and his body gently swayed and disappeared into the night.
Although his movents were not fast, they were like a blur to the untrained eyes. His face was distant and detached. But he rembered each and every wanted criminal that he had marked.
As Grey creeped the silent, dark, streets, he heard a sound that made his eyes shine with a dangerous glint, and his perception spread out to find the source of the sound.
’It was the sound of footsteps!’ When Grey’s perception got to where the sound was being made from, he saw a young woman running down the streets.
She was sweating profusely as she carried so clothes in his hands and ran. Behind her, Grey could see a shadowy figure chasing after her.
That figure was a nonhuman who had a disgusting face. His hands were slightly shorter than normal, and one of his legs were longer than the other.
All the sa, he looked like a very weird and strange creature. The nonhuman ran after the young woman with his mismatched legs. Cackling every few seconds as he saw the lady skimper and roll down the streets.
Grey was just about to turn his face away and leave when he saw the face of the nonhuman.
Without any hesitation, Grey moved. His body seemingly turned into an after-image as he arrived in front of the young woman and the nonhuman.
Because had been hiding in a dark corner, none of them saw him coming until he suddenly arrived in front of them.
The young woman had a surprised look on her face as she tripped and fell down on her feet, while the non-human was shocked.
He tried to make a run for it. Not even wanting to know why Grey suddenly appeared. But Grey moved like a specter, and before the non-human knew it, he felt a very sharp pain in his leg.
When he looked down, he saw that his longer leg was corroding as a pitch black shadow glided down it.
Before he could let out a scream, Grey’s movents beca swift as he punched out. The chest of the non-human directly caved in and the scream he was building up never ca out of his mouth.
Instead, he spurted out mouthfuls of blood while his face turned visible pale.
Although all this happened, he still tried to run away. Seeing that, Grey recalled his shadow under his feet and kicked the non-human in the shin.
The already corroded leg of the non-human cultivator snapped in half as his bone was broken in two. This ti he could not endure it and let out a sharp cry of pain.
But because his chest had caved in, he ended up spurting out blood while letting out so gurgling sounds.
By the ti he had finished screaming, he soon fell unconscious.
At this, Grey looked towards the young woman who had been watching with a look of horror on her face. When she t his gaze, she felt her body shudder as if she was in the face of a wild beast that could devour her at any mont.
And with his cold, detached grey eyes which looked like it had seen plenty of deaths, he was quite a terrifying sight. And through the whole event, not even a drop of blood had touched his garnts.
Seeing his cold gaze, the young woman stumbled to stand up and ran away. Her eyes darting fort and back, as if watching whether Grey would suddenly chase after her too.
But when she saw he was not moving, her legs broke into a sprint as she ran far away down the streets.
After making sure she had left the raduis his perception covered, Grey looked at the ugly nonhuman and couldn’t help but sigh. He removed his storage bag from his body which had been well hidden, before feeding him so dicine.
After that, he brutally kicked the non-human in his chest again.
"Ahhh!"
The nonhuman cried out as his eyes flew open. But when he saw Grey, he was about to let out another scream when Grey slapped him hard on the side of his face.
But because the nonhuman was not a cultivator, he avoided using his strength and reduced it to minimum, not enough to instantly kill him, but enough to cause him imnse pain and shatter bones.
"What do you want?" The non-human asked but Grey did not answer and just stomped on his broken leg again.
The nonhuman nearly ran mad with pain. Grey stomped on his other broken leg and broke that one as well. The non-human’s voice was loud and shrill, but Grey decided to ignore it and continue causing him more pain, after he was done, the non-human’s couldn’t even let out a whisper anymore. Pain and agony was written on his face as he looked at the devil who decisively broke both his legs without any reason.
"Why?..." He muttered lowly, but Grey only looked at him and didn’t reply. He then pulled him by blood and sweat soaked collar and dragged him to the Detective Agency Departnt.
