Each spirit was not truly strong. In fact, if Grey struck them with his full strength, they would surely die. The real problem did not lie in their individual power, it lay in their numbers.

With over hundreds of spirits suddenly appearing around them, they were bound to beco overwheld. Especially with the cold aura that kept seeping into their bodies like invisible worms burrowing into their flesh and souls.

Although the captain had three radiant balls of Spirit Fire floating around her, her Special Brilliance form was slowly beginning to be suppressed by the endless wave of cold energy.

She seed to have noticed this as well. Instead of wasting energy trying to kill the spirits around them, she chose a more efficient strategy, she began to carve a path forward.

Very soon, Grey heard her voice transmission echo inside his mind.

"Move toward the giant head! These spirits are the souls of those who must have died because of it. They are endless!"

Without waiting for a response, the captain roared and charged forward.

Her black spear swept through the air with terrifying precision, obliterating any spirit that stood in her path. Every strike caused spirits to dissolve into fragnts of cold mist that quickly reford in the distance, proving her words true, they truly were endless.

Grey’s eyes shone with a sharp glint as he activated his Special Brilliance form once again and summoned the power of the purple moon.

The purple moon possessed the power of restriction. However, Grey did not use it to directly restrict the spirits themselves. Instead, he used it to restrict the cold air that kept attempting to invade his body.

When the purple glint shone inside his eyes, a massive purple moon also manifested behind him. The moon hovered like a supre celestial existence, suppressing all life forms beneath its aura of domination.

The cold air that tried to seep into his body was imdiately suppressed by the restrictive force of the purple moon. His internal organs slowly stopped trembling from the extre cold.

However, even though the purple moon could display a similar restrictive power to the purple crystal within him, it was not on the sa level of existence.

The purple crystal represented sothing far deeper. It was sothing Grey could not yet actively control. Moreover, he did not know it’s origins.

For now, he could only rely on the purple moon’s temporary suppression ability.

Once the cold air stopped freezing his internal organs, Grey did not waste even a single breath of ti. He imdiately accelerated forward, following the direction where the captain had charged earlier.

At the sa ti, he transmitted a ssage to Roxanne.

Roxanne was a divine mythical creature. More specifically, she was the divine Phoenix. For her, these spirits and the cold aura were nothing more than fuel to be burned away by her eternal flas.

Roxanne only snorted coldly in response before her body suddenly transford into a massive sea of roaring flas.

The flas were golden-red, surging forward like a living ocean of destruction. They engulfed the nearby spirits instantly. The spirits’ cries and screams were horrifying, sounds that could pierce directly into one’s heart and soul, but Roxanne’s expression remained unchanged. Not even once did she show rcy.

Like a tidal wave of divine fire, the fla wall rolled forward toward the giant head that looked down upon everything with cold, lifeless indifference.

At the sa ti, faint chewing sounds reverberated from deep within the wall of flas, as though sothing inside was devouring the spirits being burned alive.

Grey was still quite a distance away, so he did not know exactly what was happening behind him.

After the purple moon successfully isolated and sealed the icy aura attempting to invade his body, he tried to do sothing he had successfully done before, absorb the cold energy.

But this ti, things were different.

The mont he attempted absorption, his internal organs imdiately began to freeze. Even several of his spirit perforations that had not yet been opened were quickly covered by thick layers of crystalline ice.

The process happened so fast that Grey’s entire body shuddered violently from the shock of the cold.

"My Spirit perforations!" Grey exclaid internally, his eyes widening in alarm.

Without hesitation, he imdiately began to circulate his energy to thaw the ice that had ford over his spirit perforations.

But the ice was incredibly tough. It was not ordinary frost, it carried a strange spiritual rigidity, like frozen laws of nature themselves.

It took him twelve breaths of ti just to break off a single layer of ice. And as he continued, so of the spirit perforations beneath began to crack under pressure.

"Wait... This is also an opportunity for to increase my cultivation quickly!" Grey suddenly realized.

His gaze sharpened as he targeted another spirit perforation covered in ice. He attacked it relentlessly, using his own spiritual force to smash through the freezing barrier.

Twenty breaths of ti later, the ice surrounding that spirit perforation finally shattered with a loud spiritual explosion. At the sa ti, his forty-fifth spirit perforation opened completely.

Forty-five spirit perforations!

Grey sucked in a deep breath, excitent and determination burning in his chest.

"Although this doesn’t directly increase my cultivation level, I can still use it to force open more spirit perforations!"

With that thought, Grey turned his attention back to the spirits that were still pouncing toward him like hungry predators. Instead of fear, greed and determination burned brightly within his eyes.

This was an opportunity he absolutely could not waste.

One of his main purposes for coming here was to rapidly increase his cultivation base. In the Foundation Establishnt realm, cultivators were not limited to only using spirit energy to slowly break open their perforations.

There were other thods, more aggressive thods, but many of them were not recomnded. Such thods could easily damage one’s cultivation foundation.

If one tried to forcibly break open spirit perforations without proper control, the strain could cause the perforation to collapse or explode from within. If that happened, the cultivator’s foundation would be crippled, and they would be stuck at that realm forever... unless they chose to restart their cultivation as a mortal.

The thod Grey was using could be considered a forceful thod as well, since he was not using gentle spirit energy to slowly expand the perforations.

However, the truly terrifying part was that his thod carried almost no side effects. Such cultivation opportunities were extrely rare and almost impossible to obtain.

The bright glint in Grey’s eyes only grew sharper, and the greed for power within his heart pushed him to endure even more of the cold aura assaulting his body.

Very soon, the forty-sixth spirit perforation was blown open along with another layer of frozen ice.

Then ca the forty-seventh... then the forty-eighth... and then the forty-ninth spirit perforation.

When the fiftieth spirit perforation was finally opened, an earth-shattering change occurred within Grey’s body.

His spirit energy circulation suddenly accelerated. The purple moon behind him shuddered violently as if reacting to so ancient resonance awakening within his soul. A deep humming sound echoed faintly from within his bones and veins, as if his entire body was being reborn through cold and fire simultaneously.
