"It works! Or it ans that my thod is effective," Grey spoke calmly to himself. The dull ache in his head was even stronger now, and it had turned into a heavy pounding.
His thought process was very slow, and his mind was heavily clouded with fatigue and exhaustion. Grey knew that he couldn't maintain this any longer; hence, he recalled his divine sense and the purple crystal's aura back into his body.
The mont Grey's consciousness returned, he imdiately opened his eyes. Blood flowed out from his seven orifices, and his expression was terribly pale.
But even in pain, his gaze was calm and relaxed. Grey had figured out a way to go about this.
Hence, he did not dally any longer and began to circulate his cultivation base to help restore his ntal and physical state.
As he cultivated, Grey also tried to take note of the natural laws in this world. As he observed for several hours, nothing happened.
The ice-cold world remained the sa, as if stuck in a ti where there was only endless cold and ice.
To recover his ntal state and divine sense, Grey had to cultivate for several days. But even as he cultivated, he did not stop observing the laws of the world in a bid to understand them a little more.
When exactly eight days had passed, Grey decided that he had rested enough to send his divine sense into the ice stairs again. After several long minutes, Grey arrived at the place once more.
But this ti, he did not fly toward the sa black mass he had first gone to. Instead, Grey picked another direction and flew toward a different black star there.
His expression was calm and collected, as though he had done this several tis before.
"I'll check another star first. I want to know if it's the sa as the first one I encountered, or if it's different," Grey muttered in a low voice as his spirit body sped up and rushed into the distance like a purple ball of light.
Grey ignored the closest black star and rushed toward one that was even farther away.
His body cut through the sky like a purple blur as he charged forward at full speed. But the next black star closest to him was actually a very large distance away.
Grey had to fly for four days straight before he got close. When he finally did, his body was slightly more transparent, and perspiration could be seen on his face even though he was a spirit body.
Grey sighed when he arrived and proceeded toward the black mass with the full power of his cultivation base, along with the suppressive intent of the purple crystal.
This ti, the mont Grey got within seven thousand ters, he was instantly rejected by the laws and ruthlessly flung away.
After managing to stabilize himself, Grey wiped the sweat off his forehead and tried again. Still, with the power of the purple crystal spreading out, he managed to charge toward the black star and enter the radius of five thousand ters.
But that seed to be his limit, as he could no longer resist the pressure of the laws and was sent flying backward again. Although Grey suffered so injuries, his expression remained calm.
He noticed that the distance he could cover with this star was even less than the other one. Also, the power of the laws surrounding this particular star was even stronger than that of the other.
As he was flung away, Grey even felt as if the laws were about to fix their gaze on him. If they did, he would be t with a very fierce backlash.
"Then let's try without the suppressive intent," Grey said and charged forward once again. The purple intent coming out of his body withdrew back into him and was concealed.
At the sa ti, Grey arrived outside the seven-thousand-ter range. He entered without much interference and continued until he reached the four-thousand-ter range.
When he got there, Grey started to feel as if the air was rejecting him and wanted to force him back. This feeling was not very strong and was sothing Grey could ignore for now.
When he got to the two-thousand-ter range, this force beca much stronger and began to exert pressure on Grey. But with a cold glint in his eyes, he continued forward.
In about the ti it takes for half a candlestick to burn, Grey completely crossed the distance and arrived before the black star.
As he appeared, Grey could imdiately see the difference between the two stars.
While the first black star looked large and enormous, it could not compare to this one in front of him, which was at least four tis its size.
The power of the laws spreading from it was also much more intense and seed to take on a tangible form.
Grey felt that if he were attacked by the laws, then this spirit body of his would surely be destroyed. Standing before the gigantic black star, Grey felt very small and insignificant. But his facial expression did not change even once.
He followed through with his plan and went to sit down on the black star. This ti, the repelling force was very great, and Grey had to use all his effort to keep himself from being flung away.
It was obvious that the mont he released any suppressive intent, he would be flung away so fast that his spirit body might not be able to handle it.
With that thought, Grey slowly sat down on the black star and recovered the energy he had lost. After a few minutes, he raised his hand and pressed it against the black star.
Then, Grey released all the suppressive intent within him as he pressed down on the black star. But the mont even a hint of that suppressive aura appeared, the laws on the black star erupted into a frenzy.
Grey felt as if his entire spirit body was torn to shreds in an instant.
The pain ca so suddenly that he could not even react. When he awakened, he coughed out and blood spilled out from all seven of his orifices. His face was deathly pale, and obvious fear could be seen in his eyes.
