After the beam of light dissipated, Grey and everyone else found themselves in front of a silver lake spanning for over fifteen ters. There was a young lady who sat by the side of a golden leafed tree which stood at the end of the small silver pool of water.
The young lady had a very beautiful face with a very nice figure, but her face was cold and expressionless as she sat down cross-legged with her eye closed.
Many people who had also passed the second test stared at the beautiful lady in confusion. She did not emit any spirit energy fluctuations but the feeling of oneness with the world was spread out and everyone could feel it.
Several minutes passed but the lady did not seen to notice them and continued to sit down silently. When Grey saw that the next test wouldn’t start anyti soon, he decided to sit down and replenish his spirit energy.
Although the last test was about comprehension, his ntal state was not the best after sharpened. He decided to rest and let his mind recover from the taxing comprehension test. Ange and the rest of the group also decided to wait down and prepare for the next test to begin.
The lips of a proud looking boy twitched. He said to his companion by his side and did not bother to lower his voice.
"Who are these ingrates? Don’t they know that this is the Sky Mist academy, the test could start any minute yet they are lounging around!" His voice was filled with disdain as he took a glance at Grey’s figure that was obscured by his hood.
The clothes he was wearing radiated filthy wealth. His friend by the side didn’t say anything but his lips also rose in contempt when he saw Grey’s group. He was trying to get closer to the rich kid and reap so benefits later, so to Grey’s little group that did not seem to be special, he could offend them without expecting any consequences.
Alice who was sitting down opened and eyes and glared at the rich youth and his friend but kept quiet. She felt that she did not need to waste her saliva talking to these two.
It was at this mont that the beautiful lady sitting by the Golden leafed tree opened her eyes. Her gaze was chillingly cold as she spoke with a voice so cold that it was able to freeze blood.
"This is a talent test. You..." She pointed to rich kid who was stunned and said. "Huh" in surprise.
"You’re up! Try to cross the distance between this silver lake and et ! If you can, you will imdiately pass this trial and be an inner court student!" The woman’s words made everyone fall deaf in shock. People like Grey who didn’t know what she was talking about remained calm while everyone that knew drew in deep breaths.
Sylvia, Alice and even Ange seed to be affected by her words and sucked in fiercely. Zayne looked on with a awkward expression while scratching the side of his head.
"Uh, what’s an inner court student?" He asked in a low voice but everywhere was quiet so everyone heard him, even the beautiful lady by the tree side. Her eyebrow twitched.
"Idiot!" The young lady’s words reached his ear and his scratched his head again while a bit of red flush appeared on his face.
"Moron! An inner court student is completely different from a normal student in the Sky Mist academy. Inner court students are all people who have a lot of potential and had seemingly limitless possibilities. Inner court students always grew up to beco extrely strong individuals at the top of the world. If you beco a cultivator in the Golden formation realm before the age of twenty, you will be allowed into the inner court. Of course so people make it inside without being twenty or being in the Golden formation realm. But they are all geniuses that the academy would not hesitate to pump resources into and ensure their growth! So inner court students are so prized and important that they have their own protectors in case things go wrong! Who would not want that!" Alice said quickly and Grey’s eyes imdiately brightened. Before he didn’t know what a inner court student was, but when he heard the requirents he felt his heart leap up.
But even with all the things said by Alice, there were still other privileges that inner court students held that was withheld from the public. Like the existence of Core students, these students were heaven and earth defying geniuses who would be at the top of the Top. Just knowing about the Core students and saying it public was a severe cri that would be punished by the Sky Mist academy. They placed that much importance in their Core students.
"You are quite knowledgeable, you have what it takes to make it to the Sky Mist academy." The beautiful lady said without a change in her expression. Alice blushed when she heard her words but the beautiful cold lady ignored her and was still pointing at the rich kid who had yet to move.
When the topic about inner court students had ended, he was covered in sweat but his confidence did not dropped. With his slender hand, he ran his hand through his hand and began to enter the silver lake.
Everyone looked with curiosity, their interest piqued. The young woman had said that the test was to et her by walking across the silver lake and eting her by the side of the Golden tree, if one achieved that, they would imdiately be accepted as a Sky Mist academy and even be granted the title of an inner court student.
This was too good to be true. They wanted to see what this test held and how difficult it was. From the first two tests, they had co to know that the Sky Mist academy did not give tests that would be easy. At the least it was very daring!
The rich youth began to walk into the silver lake. When he walked three steps and felt that nothing was wrong, he continued forth with the sa pace. A confident smiled appeared on his face. Grey looked at him and wondered if the test was really that simple.
It was looking that way for a few seconds before the rich youth’s expression changed drastically.
