Chapter 224: I Believe in You

"Senior Sister, I'll go with you."

Yue Qianchi paused mid-step as the sound of hurried silver bells rang in her ears.

Turning around, she saw Li Qingran already running up to her. Her brows furrowed instantly. "Junior Sister, go back. Don't make trouble!"

"I'm not making trouble," Li Qingran said firmly. "Senior Sister, if too many disciples from the Sword Pavilion go together, we'll be an obvious target. But bringing just along shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Before Yue Qianchi could refuse, Li Qingran pulled out a handful of Thunderfire Talismans from her storage pouch and waved them in front of her. They weren’t just ordinary talismans—they were of high grade.

"Look, Senior Sister! Master gave plenty of these for self-defense. Even though I'm not at the Golden Core stage yet, I can still help you!"

Yue Qianchi was pleasantly surprised to see the talismans, but she still shook her head. "Junior Sister, stay behind and protect the younger disciples for , okay? You may not be the strongest, but I know your potential. In terms of real combat ability and intelligence, none of them can compare to you. Now, with the Grandmaster’s talismans to aid you, I’m sure you can lead them safely to the secret realm’s exit, right?"

Li Qingran hesitated.

Yue Qianchi was right—the threat of the demonic cultivator’s remains hadn't been fully eliminated.

If it attacked once, it could very well attack again.

Right now, the Sword Pavilion disciples were demoralized, and their survival tools were running low.

If they encountered another Golden Core cultivator at full power—or worse, sothing even stronger—what would they do?

After a few seconds of contemplation, a thought flashed through Li Qingran's mind. "Senior Sister, what if I split these Thunderfire Talismans and Mystic Armor Talismans among the others?"

"No." Yue Qianchi placed a firm hand on Li Qingran’s shoulder. She was half a head taller than her, and her serious gaze locked onto Li Qingran’s eyes.

"Qingran, I need you to take the junior disciples to the exit. The Sword Pavilion disciples are formidable—why would we fear the remains of a demonic cultivator? What I’m truly worried about is… if you all refuse to leave and instead run toward the formation despite my warnings."

"Li Qingran, you’re the only one I trust."

Li Qingran felt the weight of that hand on her shoulder grow heavier.

She saw the mist gathering in her senior sister’s eyes and heard the trembling voice tinged with a faint plea.

"Qingran, please… help . Get them out safely, okay?"

Li Qingran looked into those pleading, misty eyes.

She swallowed back all the words she wanted to say and simply nodded.

She took out the last three supre-grade Thunderfire Talismans she had and stuffed them into Yue Qianchi’s hand. "Senior Sister, take these. You might need them."

Yue Qianchi pulled out just one and solemnly placed the other two back into Li Qingran’s hand. "One is enough."

Then, she took out a sound-transmission talisman as thin as a cicada’s wing and handed it to her. "This is a Secret Sound Talisman. If there's any important news, I’ll use it to contact you."

"Senior Sister…" Li Qingran held onto the talisman and tried to return the Thunderfire Talismans.

"Enough!" Yue Qianchi cut her off. "I'm strong—I won't need them. The day you reach the late Golden Core stage, you can tell what to do!"

With that, she firmly turned Li Qingran around, gave her a push toward the rocky outcrop, and ordered, "Go!"

Then, she turned and dashed away, her ponytail swaying behind her.

All that was left was her swift, unrestrained silhouette.

Li Qingran stood there, staring at the fading figure.

She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted after her.

"Senior Sister, I’ll get everyone to the secret realm’s exit… I’ll be waiting outside for you and the others to return!"

Yue Qianchi raised a hand and gave a firm thumbs-up.

With a few quick movents, she disappeared into the twilight.

“D*mn it, that demonic cultivator actually got away.”

On the battlefield in front of the sect ruins, Song Chiyue’s expression was grim.

She hadn’t expected that demonic woman to be so terrifyingly powerful. At first, she had swiftly cut down two demonic remains with ruthless efficiency, making it seem like a fierce battle was about to begin. But before Song Chiyue could react, the woman suddenly exploded with power, caught her off guard, and sent her flying with a single strike. Then, like a madwoman, she had charged through everything in her path and fled.

By the ti Song Chiyue ca back to her senses and tried to track her with spiritual sense, the woman was already long gone.

The one suffering the most, however, was Monk Huikong.

He had been faking an injury, but the backlash from the two demonic remains dying first had hit him hard.

To make things worse, that demonic woman had deliberately slashed him once before leaving.

Now, he was genuinely injured—no need to pretend anymore. His body was covered in bloody gashes from the residual blade energy, and he sat there looking like a dying monk.

Still, as serious as his wounds appeared, they weren’t actually that bad.

There were likely still disciples watching from the shadows, so he didn’t bother healing himself, letting the injuries remain for show.

“I just hope that demonic cultivator doesn’t interfere with our plan…” Monk Huikong’s face was dark.

“What interference?” Song Chiyue scoffed. “The righteous and demonic paths are irreconcilable. Even if she reveals what happened, who would believe her? Do you think the sects of the world would trust us, the Holy Land, or a re demonic cultivator? Ridiculous. Now, we just have to wait for the secret realm to open.”

She wasn’t about to chase after that demonic cultivator and risk unexpected complications. Instead, she sat down near Monk Huikong. “There’s still so ti left. Have your controlled demonic remains search the area again. See if there are any valuable materials we missed.”

“Don’t rush .” Huikong pressed his palms together, closing his eyes. His lips moved slightly as he muttered, “This humble monk is already searching.”

“Excuse , are you the Holy Maiden of Jade Pool and Master Huikong?”

Hearing the voice, Song Chiyue turned her head and imdiately brightened.

A young woman in a blue dress stood not far away, tall and elegant, with a delicate beauty. She was none other than Yun Suxin, the Young Valley Master of Lingxi Valley.

With just one glance, Song Chiyue recognized that Yun Suxin possessed a Yi Wood spiritual root.

While such talent wasn’t on par with the three personal disciples of the Sword Pavilion, it was still rare. More importantly, the materials they had gathered today didn’t include a Yi Wood spiritual root.

Among those known to have this affinity, Song Chiyue was aware of only two—Xiao Yifeng from Qingyun Sect and the woman standing before her.

But Xiao Yifeng hadn’t co to purify demonic energy.

She had been regretting that she might not be able to complete the Five Elent Spiritual Root set this year… but now, the missing piece had co knocking on her door.

“So, it’s the Young Valley Master of Lingxi Valley,” Song Chiyue said with a deliberately frail voice, pretending to struggle as she tried to stand up, only to fall back down. She forced a weak smile.

“Suxin, what brings you here? This sect ruin is crawling with demonic remains, and Fellow Daoist Qin has already gone missing. Master Huikong and I are holding the fort, but we can’t guarantee your safety. If there’s nothing urgent, I advise you to leave quickly.”

There was no way she had co for nothing. If that were the case, she wouldn’t have sought them out.

Song Chiyue quickly assessed the situation.

Rumor had it that the Valley Master of Lingxi Valley had suffered damage to his dantian and was nearing the end of his lifespan. The Young Valley Master must have entered the secret realm in search of dicine.

Yun Suxin, however, felt sothing was off.

The Holy Land’s disciples were never known for their selfless righteousness.

With demonic remains wandering the ruins, why hadn’t they withdrawn? Were they really staying here to suppress them?

And if the rumors were true—that there was a Nascent Soul-stage demonic remain lurking here—weren’t they just waiting to die?

Still, the clue to the Primordial Heaven nding Pill might only be known by Song Chiyue.

With the secret realm closing soon, Yun Suxin suppressed her doubts and gracefully bowed.

“Senior Song, Senior Huikong, may I ask if you know the whereabouts of the Primordial Heaven nding Pill? Or if the Jade Pool Holy Land still possesses one? If so, I am willing to pay any price—so long as I can obtain one to save my mother.”

So, she was here for the Primordial Heaven nding Pill.

Song Chiyue’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The Holy Land did still have one left—an immortal-grade Primordial Heaven nding Pill—but it was stored in their treasury as a contingency resource for Real Person Yuyao.

Of course, she couldn’t say that outright.

She had to find a way to pull Yun Suxin into the ga.

It wasn’t convenient to act at the entrance of the ruins, but inside… Heh~

“There is one. It’s inside this sect ruin,” Song Chiyue coughed weakly, taking out a handkerchief to dab at the blood on her lips.

“Suxin, as you can see, I’m in no condition to guide you there myself. But I can give you the exact location. Would you be willing to go find it on your own?”
