Now reading: Chapter 3 from Wait… I’m a Druid in a Cultivation World?!, a Xianxia novel by wuxiafull.

[Druid profession awakening…]

[Please select a primary and secondary profession…]

[Your profession choice will determine your skill developnt. Choose carefully…]

[Subclass options: Totem Druid, Beastmaster Druid, Plague Druid, Ocean Druid, Swamp Druid, Desert Druid, Iron Druid, Jungle Druid, Mountain Druid, Sky Druid…]

“These options are exactly the sa as in the ga from my past life. Players can choose one primary and one secondary subclass under the Druid profession template…”

Among all the professions, Druids had the most subclass options, earning them the title of the “all-rounder” class—though ironically, their overall strength ranked thirteenth out of the twelve main professions!

“Primary profession: Beastmaster Druid!”

“Secondary profession: Jungle Druid!”

After a mont of contemplation, Qi Ping made his decision.

A Beastmaster Druid could have multiple animal companions and even share one of their companion’s talents.

Since his own innate talent was diocre, choosing this subclass would help compensate for that weakness by borrowing abilities from his animal partners—sothing most other subclasses couldn’t do.

anwhile, the Jungle Druid was the best choice for growing spiritual herbs in the cultivation world. Its most iconic skill, Plant Growth, could accelerate the maturation of dicinal plants.

This ability alone held terrifyingly high value in the cultivation world.

Among the four essential resources for cultivators—Wealth, Companions, Land, and Techniques—Wealth ranked first. And in many ways, spiritual herbs were wealth.

[Primary and secondary professions successfully selected…]

[Profession talents generated…]

[Talents: Animal Companion, Nature Affinity]

Animal Companion: For every level gained, you can form a contract with an additional animal companion and share one of their talents. (Current contract limit: 1. Increases by 1 per level.)

Nature Affinity: You have heightened sensitivity to plant-based energies.

[Please select profession skills…]

[Beastmaster Druid (Choose 3 out of 4): Speak with Animals, Befriend Beast, Dominate Beast, Beast King’s Blessing]

Lv1 Speak with Animals: You can understand and communicate with animals. (Cannot be upgraded.)

Lv1 Befriend Beast: Reduces hostility in animals and makes them more amicable toward you. (Passive, cannot be upgraded.)

Lv1 Dominate Beast: Force an animal to fight alongside you. (May fail against high-intelligence creatures.)

Lv1 Beast King’s Blessing: Your animal companions gain increased leveling speed and higher chances of successful evolution. (Passive, can be upgraded.)

[Jungle Druid (Choose 1 out of 3): Plant Growth, Grasping Vine, Goodberry]

Lv1 Plant Growth: Consu energy to accelerate a plant’s growth. (Active, can be upgraded.)

Lv1 Grasping Vine: Summon a giant vine to attack enemies. (Active, can be upgraded.)

Lv1 Goodberry: Create a berry that sates hunger and restores health. (Disappears after one day.)

“No changes from the ga in my past life!”

Seeing the familiar options, Qi Ping couldn’t hide his excitent.

This modified starting skill set was perfect—far more versatile than the standard version.

“I’ll take Speak with Animals, Befriend Beast, and Beast King’s Blessing!”

The uses of these skills were self-explanatory.

As for why he temporarily skipped Dominate Beast, there were two reasons:

Risk of failure—especially in the cultivation world, where animals tended to be highly intelligent. Unless the skill was leveled up significantly, success wasn’t guaranteed.

Limited targets—Qi Ping didn’t have many animals around to dominate anyway. The other three skills would help him secure powerful companions imdiately.

“And for Jungle Druid… Plant Growth!”

This skill was the main reason he chose Jungle Druid—the core ability for any farming-focused build.

What kind of Druid doesn’t know Plant Growth?

With this skill alone, Qi Ping would never starve in the cultivation world. Though its exact effectiveness still needed testing.

[Skill selection complete. Generating status panel…]

[Na: Qi Ping]

[Level: Lv1 (0/100)]

[Profession: Beastmaster Druid (Primary), Jungle Druid (Secondary)]

[Talents: Animal Companion, Nature Affinity]

[Animal Companions: (0/1)]

[Skills: Lv1 Plant Growth (0/100), Lv1 Beast King’s Blessing (0/100)]

[Permanent Skills: Speak with Animals, Befriend Beast]

As the profession panel materialized, a surge of erald light flashed over Qi Ping’s body.

When it faded, he felt completely transford.

His senses now detected wood-attributed spiritual energy in the air—sothing he’d barely perceived before. Compared to his previous low-grade Wood Spirit Root, his affinity had increased tenfold.

But the most noticeable change was in his interaction with the Black Dwarf Bees nearby.

Thanks to Befriend Beast, the bees sward around him curiously, buzzing with unmistakable friendliness.

“It worked!”

Feeling the new power coursing through him and the Druidic knowledge now etched into his mind, Qi Ping was ecstatic.

“I’m no longer just a weak, talentless Qi Refining Level 1 cultivator!”

Finally, he had hope in this world.

“Now, if I can just contract a strong animal companion, I’ll have so real security.”

“Then I can use my farming skills to earn money, raise my companion, and grind for experience…”

“But first, I need to figure out why these bees are so agitated…”

Spring and sumr were peak honey seasons—these months could bring in a decent amount of spirit stones.

Watching the restless swarm, Qi Ping focused his will, channeling a mysterious energy as the knowledge in his mind guided him…

Suddenly, the world shifted.

The chaotic buzzing resolved into clear, intelligible speech.

“Bzzz… (Big bees! Big bees!)”

“Bzzz… (Underground big bees!)”

“Bzzz… (Stealing honey! Stealing!)”

“Bzzz… (Golden big bees! Scary… dangerous!)”

“Bzzz… (Taking our flowers… must move!)”

Holy—!

Thousands of bees talking at once nearly fried his brain.

It took him a while to adjust.

“Underground? Golden? Stealing honey?”

“Don’t tell …”

From the keywords, Qi Ping pieced together a likely culprit—Golden Marrow Bees!

These rare, subterranean bees were the only species that fit the description.

“If the disturbance really is caused by Golden Marrow Bees, this might be a blessing in disguise!”

Golden Marrow Bees were far stronger than ordinary Gold-Striped Tiger Bees—and their honey was ten tis more valuable.

However, they were notoriously difficult to dosticate, making them dozens of tis rarer than Black Dwarf Bees.

Qi Ping had originally planned to contract Gold-Striped Tiger Bees as his first animal companions—they were the strongest creatures he could realistically obtain.

“But if these really are Golden Marrow Bees… they’d be ten tis better than Tiger Bees!”

Not only were they more combat-capable, but their honey production dwarfed both Black Dwarf Bees and Tiger Bees!
