"How dare you?"
Just as Emrys walked towards the palace again, a stern shout full of rage reverberated in the air.
To everyone’s shock, a figure had appeared not far from them. His clothes were stained with blood. Obviously, he had just killed soone or a few people before coming here.
This person was Gu Huzi who just returned after killing everyone, only to see the dead bodies of his fellow mbers from the Purple Fla Sect.
How could he not be infuriated?
Xu Ling and Emrys were new faces so he blad them directly. It was too obvious that his companions were killed because of the appearance of Emrys and Xu Ling.
While Emrys and Xu Ling were confused after seeing the infuriated Gu Huzi, Yan Husheng, and others trembled in fear. They clearly rembered the terror they felt when facing Gu Huzi previously. Subconsciously, every one of them started to retreat which did not go unnoticed by Emrys and Xu Ling.
"Who is he?" Xu Ling asked.
"He is Gu Huzi, a valued disciple of the Purple Fla Sect." Yan Husheng spoke in a trembling voice. He then pointed at dead people, speaking again, "The people we killed are all his juniors. He is very powerful, we better start running and get away from him as far as possible."
Gu Huzi?
Emrys curiously looked at Gu Huzi who was floating in midair, and was stunned to see three star patterns at the depth of his eyes. It seems this person was very lucky as well, able to climb the three steps of the Foundation Building in such a short period of ti.

Shaking his head, Emrys’s figure flashed and he appeared in midair for a mont. Then he waved his hand which was already shrouded in a dark mist. The dark mist spread in the air and ford a dark curtain.
"Bang!"
When the shockwave ca in contact with the dark curtain, it produced loud explosive noises. The curtain shattered into smithereens as well, dissipating soon after.
Fortunately, Gu Huzi’s attack was interrupted midair. Otherwise, had that attack landed on the target, if not dead, then everyone must have gotten seriously injured. Of course, Emrys is an exception.
"It must be you," Gu Huzi gritted his teeth in anger and pointed at Emrys, saying, "Everyone must have been killed because of you. You are the reason for death. I will kill you."
"Whoosh!"
Coldly speaking, Gu Huzi’s palm moved and a longsword appeared in his hand. It was a red longsword with inscriptions engraved on it, emitting waves of hot air. It was obviously a powerful weapon.
Emrys was surprised. He could obviously tell that the sword’s level was not low at all, reaching the level of at least a C-3 weapon back in the Infinite Soul Star. In other words, this sword was at least as strong as the black demonic blade that Emrys obtained and later refined it using his Soul Point, extracting all of the blade’s impurities and making it purer and much stronger.
Emrys even had a feeling that the blade had evolved into a higher-graded weapon, maybe reaching C-1 Grade.
Unfortunately, he lost that blade not long after arriving in this hellish space. If possible, he wanted to find and retrieve that blade.
"Oh my god. It is actually a Spirit Sword. I can’t believe that Gu Huzi has a Spirit Sword." Soone exclaid from the side.
Yan Husheng nodded and said with envy, "This shows his status in the Purple Fla Sect. The status of being a valuable disciple must be aweso."
Although Xu Ling did not say anything, she did nod her head.
"A Spirit Weapon, huh?" Emrys silently observed the blade and then told everyone else to retreat. He was sure that no one but only he could face this person who was able to float in midair freely.
Back in the Infinite Soul Star, not even Purple Crystal Soul Master could float in the air. They can jump and stay in the air for a while longer, but can’t keep floating continuously.
However, the sa does not appear to be the truth for Gu Huzi. Having strength comparable to that of a Gold Soul Master, he was able to float continuously. This might be the difference brought about by cultivating in a different cultivation system.
With the spirit sword in hand, a red light flashed that instantly surrounded Gu Huzi’s body. The next mont, Emrys felt as if Gu Huzi’s body blossod like a flower.
Gu Huzi’s eyes focused and the sword light of the longsword blossod like a flower before transforming into fireworks. The attack had a great montum capable of sweeping the earth down below.
The attack rained down on Emrys, but before coming in contact with him, they gathered together again and ford a huge wave of scorching flas. The wave of scorching flas enveloped Emrys in the next second.
"Swish!"
Emrys remained standing in his original position. His eyes narrowed slightly. He had taken in every single movent Gu Huzi had made, even the seemingly incomparably sharp sword attack.
The fla surrounded his body and began to burn him, but a layer of dark mist blocked the scorching effect that kept Emrys completely safe.
Finally, Emrys made his move. Having no weapon, he had to summon the Death Scythe again. However, as his hand flashed, a dark spear materialized that again disappointed Emrys a bit.
Shaking his head, Emrys finally took action. His body moved, and similarly, he exploded with an intense aura. At the sa ti, a burst of dark mist that acted like flas exploded out from his body.
Emrys took a step forward and struck with the dark spear.
The spear was like a black light streaking across the red sky with an unstoppable force. In the end, the spear danced with a thunderous force as it dissipated the fla surrounding his body and hacked at the sword.
"Bang!"
Upon collision, a horrifying mushroom of clouds rose in the air, containing a terrifying aura.
Under such a powerful attack, Gu Huzi was pushed back continuously. His face changed greatly in that short mont. His sword attack was restrained to the point that his limbs felt bound by an invisible rope, and he was forced to retreat.
Since he was using a powerful weapon, nothing bad happened to him and he safely retreated.
On the other hand, the dark spear Emrys manifested shattered into fragnts of black mist that returned to Emrys soon after.
If not for the fear of bearing the brunt of the explosion, Emrys would not have retreated.
"What a powerful skill."
At this ti, Gu Huzi’s heart beca heavy, and he felt a huge pressure. He realized that Emrys’s personal strength was not any weaker than his. What is more, he also noticed six star patterns at the depth of Emrys’s silver eyes.
Obviously, unlike him who was only able to climb to the third step, Emrys was standing at the sixth step. This also ans Emrys’s strength exceeded his own by several tis. It is just that Emrys had not employed his full strength during the previous attack. Had Emrys attacked with his full strength, he might have died right there and then.

Xu Ling shook her head and silently muttered. She understood Emrys’s strength the best here. After all, she had seen Emrys’s terror during the past few days inside the mountain forest.

By now, Gu Huzi also cald down. Although he was still furious, he did not continue to attack Emrys. He understood that attacking Emrys so recklessly would not do any good. Instead, it might bring harm to him.
Although he was arrogant and powerful and used to boss everyone around, he was not a fool.
