Gerald had set a huge trap ten million years ago, and now, the people he had been waiting for finally appeared.
It happened when Andrea was mysteriously transported to the Celestial Horizon along with his friends. The mont this happened, Gerald sensed Andrea’s presence. He had waited for this mont for a very long ti. Now, everything was falling into place.
After saving this universe and setting up the grand formation ten million years ago, Gerald did not leave imdiately. He knew that everything had to be perfect. He had to make sure that his plan would work without any mistakes. So, he stayed and did sothing more.
He built two great palaces. One was called the Dragon Palace, and the other was the Phoenix Palace. These palaces were not normal. They were created with a purpose.
The Dragon Palace was connected to the Wielder of Destiny. The Phoenix Palace was connected to the Wielder of Fate. These two palaces were ant to guide and trap the chosen ones of the universe. They would play a big role when the ti was right.
But after finishing everything, Gerald suddenly rembered soone. He rembered Lin Hao.
Lin Hao was different from others. He was a person who could not be controlled by fate or destiny. A person who could break the laws of the universe easily. A person who was never bound to a rule.
Gerald felt uneasy. What if an "Exception" like Lin Hao appeared again?
It was a risk he could not take. By that ti, he had spent forty million years waiting for this mont. He could not let an "Exception" ruin everything.
So, Gerald made another plan. A secret plan.
He created another trap. This trap was not for the Wielder of Fate or the Wielder of Destiny. This trap was for the "Exception."
If soone like Lin Hao appeared again, this trap would activate. It would kill the "Exception" before they could do anything.
However, perhaps it had been too long by then, he had forgotten people like Lin Hao can always escape or break traps no matter how difficult it is.
Anyways, Gerald did not know if an "Exception" would appear. But he knew he could not take any chances.
And so, he created the Dark Palace. Dark Palace was filled with all kinds of killing traps. After that, he waited.
Ti continued to pass, and the pieces of his plan were in place.
Now, the mont he had waited for was finally here.
Gerald never expected his caution to co true.
An "Exception" had truly appeared.
This person was just like Lin Hao; soone who was not affected by the laws of the universe, Soone who could not be controlled. Gerald had planned for such a person, but deep inside, he had hoped that an "Exception" would never appear again.
But now, it had happened.
This Exception was Emrys.
At first, Gerald was confident in his traps. He had prepared everything carefully, ensuring that no one could escape. But to his shock, Emrys survived, and more than once at that. Gerald watched as Emrys broke through dangers that should have ended his life.
If Gerald had wanted, he could have killed Emrys easily. His strength was more than enough. However, that was not what he wanted.
Instead, Gerald decided to tornt Emrys. He wanted to see how much luck this Exception had. So, when inside the Dark Palace, he lets Emrys face high-level dangers, thinking that sooner or later, Emrys will fall. But Emrys survived again.
That was not all.
Emrys did sothing that no one had ever done before.
He affected the Mist of Abyss.
The Mist of Abyss was sothing beyond mortal power. Even Soul Masters from Spiritarium could not affect it. Yet Emrys sohow managed to do the impossible.
And then, Emrys destroyed the Dark Palace.
The Dark Palace was not an ordinary place. It was filled with countless deadly traps, all designed by Gerald himself. Among all those traps, only one or two had been used against Emrys. The rest were wasted.
When this happened, Gerald was furious. He had spent so much effort preparing these traps, and now, they were gone. All because of Emrys.
But then, in his anger, Gerald suddenly had a thought.
Instead of using the Wielder of Fate and the Wielder of Destiny to activate the formation and open the gate to Abyss, why not use Emrys?
Emrys is an Exception, after all. He had already proven that he could do the impossible. If anyone had the highest chance of bringing back what Gerald wanted from the Abyss, it was Emrys.
When Gerald thought of this, his fury turned into excitent. Imdiately, a new plan began to form in his mind.
If Emrys agreed, then it would be fine. If not, then he would not mind forcing Emrys.
However, he never expected Emrys to have a strong backing. He never expected Emrys to call Elysia.
Just Elysia’s presence alone terrified Gerald. He knew not to ntion fighting Elysia, he would die just from her aura if she wanted.
This truth was also the only reason why he decided to be honest and tell Emrys and Elysia everything in detail when asked.
"So that’s how it is!"
Emrys nodded his head in understanding. He finally understood most of the things that confused him earlier. And now, he was able to guess why the Celestial Horizon seed to be affected by Abyss.
Although the formation had not been activated and the gate to the abyss had yet to open, just the presence of the archway slowly contaminated the Celestial Horizon for a long ti, causing several places to be affected by the Abyss’s Aura.
The Ice Lord Valley was one of those places.
No wonder the Soul Beasts sohow transford into an abyssal creature.
Just thinking of what would happen when the grand formation is activated, Emrys’s heart trembled.
Gerlad’s cruelty knows no bounds. For his own benefit, just to complete one purpose, he was willing to let the vitality and energy of four worlds and celestial horizon be completely devoured.
