The man bound by these chains looked evil and twisted. His eyes were black like the empty sky, but anyone looking into those eyes could feel extre madness and hate. His body was covered with sinister tattoos.

All of a sudden, the man’s eyes flashed with dark light. His appearance started distorting but the chains suddenly caught fla and forcefully suppressed whatever was happening to the man.
"This is..."
The man could not move a single part of his body, but he seed to have sensed sothing. Suddenly, he started laughing maniacally.
"Hahaha... Great! It is great! I never expected to co across my own creation out of nowhere."
"Ling Xiaolong... Oh, Ling Xioalong... You never would have expected this, right? Now that my creation is right in front of , I can break free of your restraints. And this ti, I shall completely obliterate that brat’s soul and make his body mine."
Outside, the Archway suddenly lit up with a dark glow. The darkness was so thick that it started affecting Emrys’s surroundings. The dark runes on this archway also lit up; they started glowing red. An ominous energy exploded from the archway and completely enveloped Emrys.
Emrys could not even react when his consciousness was pulled by sothing, and the next mont, he found himself standing in a red space.
Here, he saw a man bound in runic chains.
"He is..."
Emrys was shocked, for he was familiar with this person.
"Lu Moyu!"
Yes, he was certain. This person was Lu Moyu, a man from a Cosmic Field called the Nine Heavens. In the Nine Heavens, he once lived in a small world and reached its peak. It was he who passed the trial set by the Temporal Emperor.
He sought to surpass his limits and ascend to the Immortal World. However, the Immortal World had already been destroyed. So, he had no choice but to face tribulation, break the shackles of mortality, achieve immortality, and enter the Nine Heavens directly.
Unfortunately, he failed because the Nine Heavens rejected him. Instead of accepting him, it turned against him. It was Ling Xiaolong who helped Lu Moyu withstand the attacks. In the end, Lu Moyu used the Space Disk to escape and, with the last bit of his willpower, entered the Abyss.
Now, this man sohow appeared bound in this strange red space.
Moreover, the instant Emrys saw him, he knew that it was Lu Moyu’s soul, not his body. It seems Lu Moyu’s body had long since been destroyed. Sohow, his soul survived. The foreign soul that took over his body in the fragnted Cosmic Field belonged to Lu Moyu. In other words, the second Soul Mark, Lord of the Cursed Abyss, belonged to Lu Moyu.
This Lu Moyu was truly unfortunate. In the end, he lost one-ninth of his soul. That part of his soul fused with Emrys’s soul.
Emrys’s consciousness was floating right in front of Lu Moyu, but for so unknown reason, Lu Moyu could not see or perceive him.
Lu Moyu was still laughing. When he stopped, a torrent of chaotic energy surged from outside, rushing towards him. This energy was dark and filled with the aura of abyss. Moreover, accompanying this energy was the Mist of Abyss.
It was not surprising that Lu Moyu could control and command the Mist of Abyss. After all, Lu Moyu created Emrys’s Dark River, which is filled with the Mist of Abyss.
"BOOM!"
All of a sudden, sothing exploded. Emrys was stunned to see two out of eight runic chains shattered with an explosion that actually sent his consciousness out of this chaotic space for a split second. And in that split second, he seed to have witnessed sothing.
It was strange.
He could not make out what he witnessed. However, he was sure it was the image of a giant tree. This was not the Tree of Enlightennt, but a different tree.
Most importantly, a huge ball of fire was sitting atop the tree like a crown on soone’s head.
Yes!
It was definitely this image.
However, he was not sure because what he witnessed was not only for a split second but also very blurry. Yet, he still was able to make sothing out of that picture, understanding that it was a tree with a huge ball of fire as its crown.
What was that tree?
Emrys sighed, then shifted his attention to Lu Moyu.
As two of the eight chains restraining him shattered, the other six chains slowly retracted from the land and the sky, and completely rged into Lu Moyu’s body. These six chains transford into six intersecting tattoos on his naked chest.
It was also after the tattoos appeared that Lu Moyu gained a brief period of freedom.
To Lu Moyu, it felt just like the first ti a chain shattered—except this ti, two chains broke at once.
"Hahaha," Lu Moyu laughed, laughing like a devil who had crawled out of hell. When he stopped, he muttered, "It is ti to take over that boy’s body. And this ti, I must find his soul and destroy it. Otherwise, he might be able to make a coback just like the last ti."
The first ti he regained his freedom, only one portion of his soul out of nine was freed. This ti, however, two portions of his soul were released. He was much stronger than the last ti.
However, Emrys was not weak as well. He has grown rapidly, and his current strength is enough to make him a powerful expert even in the Spiritarium.
Most importantly, although Emrys’s consciousness was pulled into this space, he could feel that whenever he wanted, he could return. At the sa ti, he could control his body and all his abilities perfectly.
"He is just a soul!"
Emrys clearly heard Lu Moyu’s words. Lu Moyu wanted to take over his body, but Emrys had no intention of letting that happen. Then, he suddenly realized sothing. Lu Moyu was rely a soul. His physical body had long since vanished for so reason.
And Emrys had the ability to plunder souls!
