"Is this your doing?"
Serafina asked after witnessing how the lightning, instead of striking straight down, suddenly shifted its position elsewhere. It was as if space itself had twisted, altering the path of the descending bolts.
"Yes," Emrys nodded while observing Serafina. Then, after a brief pause, he spoke again. "What are you doing here? Don’t tell you plan to enter the fourth layer. You should know even Eternal Sky Soul Masters cannot step into that place."s
Serafina didn’t speak. She silently looked at Emrys for a while, then said coldly, "You should leave."
Just like that, she ignored Emrys and started walking again.
Emrys chuckled.
If Serafina was truly here for the silver ball inside the fourth layer, then there is no way she would tell him the truth. After all, who would not want to hide the secret of a great treasure for themselves?
However, it doesn’t matter.
As the saying goes, ’First co, first served.’
If he obtained the Silver Ball before Serafina, it wouldn’t be considered stealing.
Moreover, the familiar sensation that the ball gave him made it impossible for Emrys to let Serafina or soone else obtain this treasure. Not to ntion, whether Serafina could enter the fourth layer with her level of strength or not is still a question.
Emrys’s body flashed and he disappeared.
Serafina, on the other hand, frowned when she didn’t hear Emrys again. She thought Emrys would continue asking or changing the topic, but Emrys didn’t speak at all.
She could not help but turn, only to see no one there. Emrys seed to have vanished from this place.
She was stunned at first and looked around, but not finding that familiar figure, she heaved a sigh of relief and shook her head in disappointnt at the sa ti.
On the other side, Emrys had already appeared inside the fourth layer of this lightning domain. Hundreds of thousands of destructive lightning bolts rained down relentlessly, striking the ground without pause. It was like a torrential downpour; only, instead of raindrops, each drop was a bolt of lightning.
However, this terrifying storm of destruction did not affect Emrys in the slightest. His powerful body, combined with his overwhelming cultivation, made the lightning strikes seem insignificant. They were like gentle taps on his body rather than deadly attacks.
Emrys walked casually under this torrential downpour of countless bolts of lightning, and not long before, he appeared in front of the floating silver ball.
Now that he looked at the ball, he could see countless intricate patterns on its surface. These patterns were completely different from the patterns he had seen on the Space Disk. However, they still sowhat resembled those patterns.
Most importantly, Emrys could see a sea of lightning inside this silver ball.
Frowning, he extended his hand and touched the silver ball.
The mont his hand ca in contact with the silver ball, his figure disappeared. The next mont he appeared, he was standing on top of what seed to be a sea of silver water. The sky above was full of lightning bolts. Even the water was explosive and destructive.
Upon a closer look, the sea was not filled with water but lightning energy. The lightning energy was so thick and pure here that it ford a sea.
As soon as Emrys appeared here, sothing terrifying happened.
He didn’t even get to see his surroundings clearly when the pure lightning energy in the sea suddenly surged toward him. It wrapped around his entire body like living tendrils. In the next instant, the lightning energy forced its way into his skin, his muscles, and his bones. Every part of his body suddenly trembled and twitched.
"Arghhh!"
A terrible scream tore from Emrys’s throat as unbearable pain spread through his body.
Emrys was very confident in his strength, believing that nothing in this place could harm him. But now, he realized how wrong he was. This pain was beyond anything he had felt in a long ti.
His entire body convulsed violently. His muscles twitched uncontrollably. His veins bulged as if they were about to burst. His skin turned bright red, then deep blue as endless waves of lightning energy kept pouring into him.
It was like being struck by thousands of bolts at once, but even worse. This lightning was not just attacking him from the outside, it was invading his very being, fusing with his blood, his bones, and his soul.
The pain was so intense that Emrys couldn’t even think. His vision blurred. His ears rang with the crackling sound of lightning surging through him.
He continued to scream in pain for a long ti. He tried hard to endure, but the pain was terrible and made it impossible for him to hold on consciously.
His throat was hoarse from screaming, but he couldn’t stop. It felt as if countless tiny needles of pure electricity were stabbing him from the inside. His body jerked and twitched without control, and his legs gave out, making him fall onto the silver sea.
But the tornt did not stop. The lightning sea swallowed him whole, pulling him deeper. Every nerve in his body burned. His bones felt like they were being shattered and remade at the sa ti. His heart pounded wildly, struggling against the terrifying energy invading it. Even his soul trembled, as if it, too, was being refined by this rciless lightning.
"Ahhhhhh!"
Emrys clutched his head as a new wave of agony struck. He wanted to resist, to push the lightning energy out of his body, but it was impossible. The sea of lightning had no intention of letting him go. It kept fusing with him, forcing him to endure the unbearable pain.
Seconds felt like years to him at this mont. Ti lost aning completely. The only thing Emrys knew was pain... a terrible, blinding, all-consuming pain.
What he failed to notice was that the intricate patterns he had seen on the surface of the silver ball had begun to manifest on both his body and soul.
It was unknown for how long this continued, but Emrys felt like he had been trapped in this endless tornt for an eternity.
