Emrys has to say that although Soul Lantern was powerful, it did not satisfy his needs. In fact, it did not satisfy him at all.
Moreover, he was not satisfied with learning just one Soul Skill. He wanted to learn more about Soul Skills, not for anything; just to gain more knowledge so that he could create his own Soul Skill. He wanted to create a soul skill so powerful that it does not lose out to those skills ranking on top even in the Vast Expanse of Eternity.
After learning Soul Lantern, he walked further into the ninth floor of the Astral Soul Tower and began unfolding one scroll after another. So were sealed with strong restrictions. Others were protected by glowing formations. But none of these barriers could stop Emrys.
Just like before, as soon as he touched the scrolls, the restrictions vanished on their own.
Every ti he unfolded a scroll or picked up a jade tablet, a bright light would shoot into his mind. And soon after, a flood of foreign information would appear inside his mind. These pieces of information were chaotic at first, but when sorted out, they would form a powerful Soul Skill.
Just like that, Emrys learned many Soul Skills on the ninth floor. In fact, not only he learned Soul Skills, but he also utilized his Tiless Enlightennt Body and Bloodline to comprehend them on the spot.
The second skill he comprehended was ⧼Soul Mirage⧽.
This skill gave Emrys the ability to create illusions using soul force. But these were not simple illusions. They were mirage-like figures filled with a small part of the soul’s essence. These mirages could walk, speak, and even interact slightly with the real world. They could fool the eyes, the ears, and even the senses of the soul. With this skill, Emrys could confuse enemies, create fake versions of himself, or even use the mirages as ssengers that could travel across spiritual distances.
The third skill was ⧼Soul Weaving⧽.
With this skill, Emrys could shape his soul force like threads and weave them into different forms. He could make glowing cloth that defended against ntal attacks, soul ropes that trapped enemies’ souls, or even small soul artifacts with unique properties. It was like tailoring the soul into tools and weapons. He could also use Soul Weaving to enhance his attack or create protective barriers woven from soul threads. This skill was not only powerful but also very creative.
The fourth skill he learned was called ⧼Soul Echo⧽. This was one unique skill because it was related to sound.
With ⧼Soul Echo⧽, Emrys could hear and see the echoes left behind by souls in a place. For example, if soone died in a room hundreds of years ago, their emotions, thoughts, or a part of their final mont might still remain. Using Soul Echo, Emrys could experience those monts, understand what happened, or even speak to the soul imprint. This was not the sa as speaking to a ghost, it was like replaying the soul’s last mories that were still echoing in the space. It could help solve mysteries or reveal truths hidden by ti.
Emrys learned Soul Echo from one of the Jade Tablets. He had guessed it previously, and now, it seems he is not wrong. Jade Tablets indeed record rarer and unique Soul Skills than Scrolls.
The fifth skill that Emrys learned was called ⧼Soul Cage⧽.
This skill could allow Emrys to trap the soul of a target in a cage made of soul force. It could be used in battle to weaken or completely disable soone by separating their soul from their body for a short ti. The cage could also be used to capture wandering spirits. The more powerful Emrys beca, the stronger the cage would beco. It was a dangerous and powerful skill, useful both for fighting and controlling spiritual threats.
One unique property about Soul Skills that Emrys learned is that unlike Qi Cultivation Skills, Martial Skills, Cosmic Skills, or other skills, Soul Skills are not limited to a Soul Master’s cultivation base. The stronger a Soul Master is, the stronger their Soul Skills will beco.
This was true for all the Soul Skills.
The sixth skill that Emrys learned was also very unique. It was called ⧼Soul Pathfinding⧽.
This skill could allow Emrys to track and follow the traces left by souls. Every soul that moves or interacts with the world leaves behind a faint trail. With this skill, Emrys could follow these trails to find lost people, hidden enemies, or even rare treasures with spiritual signatures. It was like having a spiritual compass that pointed him in the right direction.
But the skills are not limited to this at all. Emrys learned that by using ⧼Soul Pathfinding⧽ with the highest proficiency, he could even trace back a soul to their past or forward into their future.
However, achieving such high proficiency in this skill was not easy at all. Unlike other skills, Emrys spent ten days just to comprehend this skill with the help of Tiless Enlightennt. Even so, he only managed to master it to a Foundational Level. Most importantly, he learned that this skill is just an incomplete skill.
The seventh skill that Emrys learned was called ⧼Soul Bloom⧽.
This was a special skill that allowed Emrys to temporarily "bloom" his soul like a flower. When activated, ⧼Soul Bloom⧽ can tear through the veil between life and death, causing spectral petals to drift around the Soul Master. If a Soul Master wishes, these spectral Soul Petals would even act as a sharp weapon, attacking enemies’ souls like sharp knives and cutting everything. Upon reaching the highest proficiency, this skill can even sever the connection between a body and a soul.
Just like the ⧼Soul Pathfinding⧽ skill, this skill was incomplete. So, Emrys was unable to comprehend it completely.
These were only the seven most useful Soul Skills that Emrys comprehended out of hundreds of scrolls and jade tablets.
He rested for a day and finally focused on the crystal spheres floating in the air.
