Now reading: Chapter 340: Ch 340: Murals from Walker Of The Blue Sky, a Fantasy novel by RazaKarim.

Inside, Emrys saw the walls of the temple covered in carvings. These carvings were not of gods or beasts, but of stars, constellations, and strange symbols.

Emrys can swear that these symbols were definitely not runes or sothing similar. They were more like characters of an unknown language.

At the far end, there was a mural carved directly into the stone wall. This mural was covered in stardust patterns. The thing that attracted his attention the most was a silhouette with no face standing in the center of the mural, holding a gemstone in one hand and reaching toward a doorway of light with the other.

Emrys was stunned as he stared at the mural.

He was way too familiar with that gemstone. It was exactly the one he had seen deep underground earlier.

It was at this mont the old man’s voice ca from behind him. "As you can see, the gemstone is related to that faceless silhouette. You know who that silhouette is, right?"

Emrys frowned, and then spoke slowly, "The beautiful woman you talked about!"

"Exactly!"

The old man nodded and continued explaining, "Do you know why I knew you wanted to ask about the gemstone?"

Emrys: "Why?"

"It’s because no Soul Master has ever co to our village." The old man seed to have thought of sothing interesting and chuckled. "Although this village is small, it is very special. It is blessed by stars, hidden from the eyes and reaches of all Soul Masters and Spiritas. It is not that my village is invisible, even if they were to see it, all Soul Masters would subconsciously ignore the village."

"Only you are the exception. You actually entered our village. This proves you are different from all Soul Masters. And when I saw you, I knew you were not human. Because you ca to to ask so questions, I knew you must have discovered the existence of that gemstone and your questions must be related to it."

Emrys nodded in understanding. He also understands why he subconsciously ignored the existence of this village when he saw it for the first ti.

It is just that, at the last mont before leaving the ninth floor of Astral Soul Tower, for so unknown reason, he suddenly thought of this village and ca here.

Now that he had thought about this matter, he seed to understand that sothing about this village had attracted him, and that must have been why he had suddenly thought about the village at the last mont.

Could it be that the gemstone attracted him?

No!

Emrys imdiately shook his head.

There may be a possibility, but he is sure the gemstone has nothing to do with his attraction to this village.

"Who created this temple?"

Emrys looked at the murals and asked. If this temple was created by a villager, then that villager must be very close to the faceless silhouette, who is supposed to be a very beautiful woman.

The old man’s eyes softened as he heard Emrys’s question. He looked toward the mural with a complicated expression, as if rembering sothing ancient yet deeply personal.

He spoke slowly in a voice that seed to be carrying the weight of many generations. "The one who created this temple was also the one who founded our village. He was not an ordinary mortal like us villagers. He was said to be very powerful. He was also the first to speak of this place as ’blessed by the stars.’ It was he who built the temple, carved the murals, and left behind the stories we pass down even today."

The old man paused for a few seconds, then smiled faintly. "He was our ancestor, the ancestor of every family living here. After establishing this village, he married a mortal girl. Together, they lived here quietly, raising children and teaching them the ways of the village until both of them passed away from old age."

Emrys listened quietly with a thoughtful expression. Then he frowned.

’If that person was not a mortal, then how did he die from old age?’

Although he was curious, he did not ask. After all, the old man did not say that that person died like a mortal. He only talked about death from old age.

Perhaps, that person’s lifespan ran out. Although the probability of such a thing is very low, there is still a probability.

On the other hand, the old man continued, "He taught our people that we should not seek cultivation or power like the outside world. Instead, we were to stay here and wait for the the owner of gemstone to co to retrieve the gemstone."

"We have lived by the teachings of our ancestor for countless generations. We passed down his words, honored the temple, and never forgot our origin. Even if ti erased many details, one thing remained certain. Not a single person from our village ever walked the path of cultivation."

He turned to look at Emrys with a aningful gaze. "Not a single person in this village knows why our ancestor stopped us from cultivating. However, we believe in our ancestor’s words. We believe he must have had his reasons. He was very sure that no second person could pay attention or enter our village. But you clearly did so. There must be a reason."

Emrys did not say anything. Even he was not sure why he was attracted by this village. There is no way he could answer.

After thinking for a while, Emrys asked, "Is there anything special about this village other than the gemstone and this temple?"

The old man frowned and then shook his head. "I don’t think so. Why?"

"Nothing," Emrys shook his head. Then he once again looked at the murals. Following that, he shifted his attention to strange symbols that were supposed to be words written in an unknown language.

He was unable to read a single word, but he had a feeling that he was missing a piece. As long as that missing piece is found, he can read and understand this unknown language easily.

What am I missing?

Emrys frowned and thought deeply.

It was at this ti, sothing happened.
