It can be said that Emrys was trying to slowly grasp the aning behind those patterns just like an artist trying to understand a masterpiece just by looking at its brushstrokes, and his Tiless Enlightennt allowed him to do that.

He didn’t need words. Bit by bit, insight flowed into him like rainwater slowly filling a dried pond. He saw that these patterns were not just part of the Cosmic Essence Core, they seed to be part of sothing greater, sothing that connected to the essence of cosmic cultivation itself.
