Chapter 277: Chapter 192 Enlightennt Scripture_3
“That’s it for today, I won’t keep you from your work. I’ll head ho now.”
“You’re only looking for such a short ti?”
Gu Ling had been prepared to accompany him for the whole day, yet Zhou Xuan hadn’t browsed for long at all.
“I’ve already seen enough. Tonight, I’ll introduce a singer to you.”
Zhou Xuan was eager to find a quiet and comfortable place to study the talismanic script of the Wash Away Injustice Talisman. He hurriedly bid farewell to Gu Ling.
After he left,
Gu Ling flipped through Zhou Xuan’s reading records—”eting Summary of City God Jing Country, Year 24,” “Mingjiang Prefecture’s Geography Chronicles,” “Research on Mingjiang Play,” “Beast dicine Recipes,” “Si Shui Pill Recipe”…
As part of her Divine Office duties, Gu Ling saw many “borrowing records” every year. From a single record, she could roughly infer the intentions of the borrower.
If the borrower was currently facing issues with alchemy, the borrowed books would undoubtedly heavily feature topics related to “alchemy.”
If the borrower was facing a bottleneck with incense offerings, they would consu a large number of books related to “incense offerings of their sect’s Tangkou.”
But Zhou Xuan’s borrowed books spanned various topics, covering many fields, which pointed to one fact.
“The Young Master isn’t interested in the books themselves; he’s concerned about sothing beyond them.”
Gu Ling couldn’t be bothered to think about Zhou Xuan’s focus, but she knew one thing: if such chaotic and disorganized “reading records” were presented to Si Chen or Zhong Guan,
Those two would surely forbid Zhou Xuan from entering the Ninth District. Unpredictable individuals were the most prone to losing control and thus the most dangerous.
Thinking this through, Gu Ling took out her notebook to draft a new recomnded book list.
The book list largely consisted of various pill recipes. Alchemy was the most despised activity among the Bone Elder Association; an alchemist specifically appropriating pill recipes would be deed a “fool” by the Bone Elders, utterly lacking in threat.
Only soone deed non-threatening could pass Si Chen and Zhong Guan’s review and gain access to the Ninth District of the library.
Once the fake book list was prepared, Gu Ling left the library, promptly tore up the real book list into fragnts, and threw them in the trash bin…
…
Lu Family Tea House was half a street away from Li Yuan Building. It housed private rooms with small beds and tables, where wealthy addicts liked to smoke opium.
Zhou Xuan didn’t smoke opium. Lying on the bed, sipping tea, he leafed through the Wash Away Injustice Talisman.
The Wash Away Injustice Talisman had seven new segnts of talismanic script added.
Three of these segnts comprised a single talismanic script appearing on one page of the Wash Away Injustice Talisman, and the content read as follows:
“The Blood Well contains the Ti Law. Once deep within the Blood Well, if one aligns with the laws, they can reverse ti and arrive at a specific year and month in the past.
To align with the laws, one must anchor a ti and location while being bound with the Living Person Rope. One can descend multiple tis, but each descent must not exceed the length of three incense sticks.
While reversing ti, there is neither life nor death, but one will be plagued by the whispers of Gods. Those who seek enlightennt within the Blood Well, take heed, take heed.”
Upon reading this part,
The script revealed its title—Blood Well Enlightennt Scripture.
Zhou Xuan felt his scalp tingle.
The laws of the Blood Well turned out to be Ti Laws.
This talismanic script actually taught Zhou Xuan how to grasp the Ti Laws within the Blood Well and, through the Blood Well, travel back to the past.
“Align with the laws, anchor ti and location, Living Person Rope.”
How to execute these three elents was not ntioned in the talismanic script.
“They’re likely detailed in the talismanic scripts of the Ninth District.”
Yet this wasn’t the most critical part. The key question was Zhou Xuan’s divination regarding the Blood Well—what was the major sche of the Ancient Tattoo Clan?
The Blood Well couldn’t directly provide an oracle, instead prompting Zhou Xuan to look for the talismanic scripts first and then use the Blood Well to reverse ti—to investigate events from three centuries ago.
Zhou Xuan went on to examine the remaining four segnts of the talismanic script, all written in an extrely fragnted and chaotic manner.
“Gods are difficult to summon, followed by Daoists as attendants. Daoists are individuals without incense or fire.”
“The Big Dragon is Yang. If it turns to Yin, there will be countless casualties. It takes a true destined individual to guide it.”
“The gathering of offspring may bring catastrophe to Heaven and Earth. Only the Big Dragon can subdue it.”
“Within the mirror, there am I; beyond the mirror, there am I as well. Sever obsession, and the mirror self will perish. Shatter the mirror to rge with the mirror person.”
“Daoists being individuals without incense or fire? The Big Dragon, offspring gathering, and mirror person—they make sense to read, but seem entirely useless.”
Zhou Xuan tucked the Wash Away Injustice Talisman close to his chest, paid his bill, and went ho.
…
Upon entering Zhou Family’s Jingyi Shop, Little Fuzi, Yun Ziliang, and Lv Mingkun were all having lunch.
“Young Master, have you eaten yet?”
“Not yet, I’ll go scoop a bowl.”
Zhou Xuan scooped a bowl of rice, closed the door, and while eating, asked Yun Ziliang: “Are Daoists really individuals without incense or fire?”
“Of course not.”
Yun Ziliang munched his rice and replied, “Daoists act on the orders of Gods—seven, eight incense sticks at a ti. Without incense or fire, they’d be beaten and strung up! What instructions could they carry out?”
“The Big Dragon is Yang. If it turns to Yin, there will be countless casualties. It takes a true destined individual to guide it—what does this an?”
Zhou Xuan queried Yun Ziliang again.
Yun Ziliang found it odd that Zhou Xuan was speaking in such cryptic riddles today.
Still, he replied patiently, “There truly are Big Dragons in this world. We Dragon Seeking Heavenly Masters devote our lives to finding one Big Dragon. A living Big Dragon is called a Yang Dragon.
But Big Dragons have their lifespan. If they die, they coil beneath the earth and beco Yin Dragons. Yin Dragons are also a type of Big Dragon.
Yin Dragons disrupt geomancy and create areas of extre Yin. They may not directly harm individuals,
But Yin Dragons nurture Yin-evil entities, which, if allowed to mature, can harm many people. Anyone wishing to save such places must draw the Yin Dragon away.”
“Do Dragon Seeking Heavenly Masters draw it away?”
“Not necessarily the Heavenly Masters. Your scripture already says—it requires a true destined individual.”
Yun Ziliang continued wolfing down his food.
“The gathering of offspring may bring catastrophe to Heaven and Earth. Only the Big Dragon can subdue it—what does this an?”
Zhou Xuan asked again.
Yun Ziliang paused for thought, shook his head, and said: “This statent lacks specificity. What progeny are gathering? It’s all muddled—I can’t make sense of it.”
Zhou Xuan didn’t bother asking about the “mirror person” talismanic script—this segnt was written the most clearly.
Mirror people who relinquish their obsessions will cease to exist.
If the mirror is shattered, both sides who are mirror persons will rge into one.
Zhou Xuan wanted to inquire about the “Living Person Rope” required for descending into the Blood Well.
“The Living Person Rope doesn’t refer to a specific Magic Artifact; it’s a practice.”
This particular question seed to touch on Yun Ziliang’s expertise…
ps: Cheers to my brothers, muah.
