"Can the Dragon Riding Skill break into the Forbidden Land?" Zhou Xuan asked, sowhat surprised.
"That requires explaining the principles of the Forbidden Land first."
Yun Ziliang was one of the leading Dragon Seeking Heavenly Masters, with profound insights into geomancy and terrain. In all of Jing Country, there were few who could surpass him.
"A Forbidden Land is considered a unique terrain, using an advanced technique to accelerate the flow of ti, causing a piece of land to rot and decay.
The land in Jing Country all has its lifespan, though its longevity is imnse—tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years...
Once the land reaches the end of its life, it dies. The laws contained within the land beco null and void.
Without the laws of Jing Country, no one can locate this piece of land—not even the Heavenly Gods.
It ceases to be part of Jing Country."
"If it’s no longer part of Jing Country, then how do you find it?"
"The decay and decline of land aren’t irreversible." Yun Ziliang replied, "As long as there are people, there is human energy. Human energy seeps into the land, cultivating an aura underground. Over ti, this aura condenses into Dragon Qi."
He pointed to the ground with his right hand and said, "More people ans stronger Dragon Qi; fewer people ans weak Dragon Qi. What you call Dragon Qi is essentially human energy."
"Master Grandfather, is this how you understand Dragon Qi?"
Zhao Wuya asked, with a look of puzzlent.
Both "Perception" and "Acupoint" belong to branches of Dragon Seeking, yet their philosophies diverge significantly.
The "Acupoint" lineage values mountain and river terrains, believing that only geomantic treasures and celestial mountains can harbor a Great Dragon—
—Wide rivers and soaring mountains reveal the Divine Dragon.
Yun Ziliang didn’t share this view. He told Zhao Wuya, "Beautiful landscapes and majestic terrains are called Gathering Dragon Lands. This gathering rely magnifies the scale of Dragon Qi.
Seven or eight households can give rise to Dragon Montum. If "Acupoint" experts survey such a place, leading thousands of households to settle there, Dragon Qi could flourish imnsely.
But fundantally, terrains and landscapes are auxiliary—the root of Dragon Qi lies in human energy.
To abandon human energy in favor of pursuing terrain is to mistake the essential for the trivial, like buying the box and discarding the jewel."
Under Yun Ziliang’s hands-on teaching, Zhao Wuya suddenly had an epiphany. He closed his eyes to ponder, occasionally popping a peanut into his mouth, chewing away—rarely did he look so serious.
"With all this thinking, Ya Zi isn’t talking back anymore, nor is he pretending—and he’s looking several degrees more handso too."
Zhou Xuan raised his wine cup and clinked it with Yun Ziliang’s, saying, "You said as long as there are people, there’s Dragon Qi. Well, within the Tattoo Forbidden Land, there are tens of thousands of tattooed clansn. There should be a sizeable dragon forming underground."
"That’s correct. Three hundred years isn’t enough ti to regenerate the laws of a decayed Forbidden Land, but it’s sufficient to gather a fairly large dragon.
This dragon is inferior to the Mingjiang Ancestor Dragon, but its montum should be enough to shatter the border of the Forbidden Land and open a path for us to enter."
Yun Ziliang explained, "Thus, we need to study the power attributes of the Buddha Mantra and send a Dragon Riding Talisman inside.
The dragon isn’t particularly large, and my Dragon Riding Skill doesn’t require commanding it to do anything significant—it just needs to recklessly charge around a bit.
Executing this won’t be too challenging."
With Yun Ziliang’s confident reassurance, Zhou Xuan finally felt relieved.
Currently, several matters are especially critical:
Entering the Tattoo Forbidden Land and killing the Three-headed Stone Buddha was the most vital task.
The Three-headed Stone Buddha marked the first arrival of the Prajnaparamita Buddha Country into Jing Country. Within him are nurous secrets about the Buddha Country.
Next is investigating the Mingjiang Prefecture’s Ancestor Dragon pollution incident. Behind the pollution lies several Evil Gods, who are akin to ticking bombs in Mingjiang Prefecture. If not dismantled in ti, they’ll cause great disaster.
This matter is already being analyzed by the Painter, who’s contacted people from Yellow Field Prefecture for predictions, while partnering with three Tangkous to capture the kidnapper Mo Tingsheng, and trace back to the Evil God’s subordinate Jing Deng.
Besides these two matters, Mingjiang Prefecture holds another potential bomb—Legend of the Hundred Spirits.
The Legend of the Hundred Spirits is the body of the Mother of Hundred Demons. Although she requires a Heavenly God-level vessel to awaken,
her awakening conditions seem harsh, making her appear unable to detonate. But her explosive power is colossal.
The Mother of Hundred Demons, whose strength surpasses even the Great Heavenly King, would leave Mingjiang Prefecture powerless if she awakens.
"Lao Yun, don’t you find Mu Hua from the Legend of the Hundred Spirits rather peculiar—even the people from the Ancient Tattoo Clan cannot sense his aura?"
"Indeed, very peculiar. And his strangeness isn’t limited to just that," Yun Ziliang remarked, "He looks a lot like you."
"I know what you an. He’s not my mirror person. I looked into it before." Zhou Xuan, upon learning the concept of the mirror person from Monk Zhu Jiu, imdiately went ho to test whether he and Mu Hua were mirror people.
After testing, he confird they weren’t.
"I didn’t think there was an issue before. Now though... Xiao Zhou, in Jing Country’s newly altered history, you were in Peng Town as the young Nu God, received the descent of the Peach Blossom Ancestor Tree, shattered the Three-headed Stone Buddha, and your body fell apart. The Nu God aura you carried entered the Tattoo Forbidden Land,
your aura entered the Forbidden Land, while Mu Hua beca the Hundred Ghosts Rhy Tablet Egg inside it—and the two of you look strikingly alike... There’s no way this connection isn’t tangled deeply."
"But Peng Town’s history was only altered in the past two days."
Zhou Xuan gazed at the pitch-black night outside and said.
"Hard to say. Don’t forget, the Nu God is the Fate God. Although you haven’t yet mastered the Law of Destiny, your fate itself is peculiar."
