***********************************

Back in Shenlong City, the once unshakable bastion of the Bai Da Empire, the grand court of Shen Palace was in turmoil. Ministers and generals crowded the opulent chamber, their anxious whispers creating a cacophony beneath the shimring jade chandeliers. The towering figure of Emperor Shen Wuyang sat rigid on the golden throne, his face a mask of fury and fear.

The news of the generals' deaths, each more horrifying than the last, had reached the court.

"Your Majesty, this cannot be a coincidence!" Minister Shen Yi exclaid, his face pale as a sheet. He clutched the official scroll containing the reports of the deaths like it might bite him. "So many generals—dead in a single night! We are under siege, not by armies but by an unseen enemy!"

Shen Wuyang's fingers tightened around the arms of his throne, the veins in his hands bulging. His voice thundered across the hall, masking the trembling unease within. "Who would dare? This empire has stood unshaken for decades! These are not re assassins—they are cowards hiding in shadows, striking at our strength from the dark!"

Minister Shen Zhou, an elder statesman known for his caution, stepped forward, his robes brushing the polished floor. "Your Majesty, this reeks of treachery. It is impossible that these assassinations were carried out without internal help. We must look within."

Another minister, Shen Ming, shook his head, his voice rising above the din. "I disagree! This is the work of our external enemies—perhaps forces of the Heavenly Bow Empire... maybe the enemy is finally on the move! We must secure the palace imdiately and prepare for war."

Shen Wuyang's lip curled in disdain. "Heavenly Bow Empire? They are insects beneath our boot! No one—NO ONE—dares challenge Bai Da and lives to tell the tale!"

He stood, his golden robes flowing like liquid sunlight. "Double the palace guards. Question every servant, every rchant, every visitor. No one enters or leaves Shenlong City without my approval."

"But, Your Majesty—" Shen Yi began, only to be silenced by the emperor's raised hand.

"Enough!" Shen Wuyang's eyes burned with fury. "Blood Red Hall exists for monts like this! They must help us now... We might not be able to handle it alone. Go and send a ssage for help. Imdiately!"

The ministers exchanged uneasy glances. The emperor's paranoia was growing, and with it, the fear that no one in the palace was safe...

That night, a thick, unnatural mist descended upon Shenlong City. It rolled through the streets and alleys, shrouding the city in an eerie silence. Even the usually bustling palace grounds seed subdued, the guards patrolling with their weapons drawn, their breaths visible in the cold air.

In the royal chambers, Prince Shen Hao, the emperor's eldest son and heir, stirred uneasily in his sleep. His dreams were plagued by shadows and whispers, faint and insidious.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open. A cold chill swept through the room, raising the hairs on his neck. Sitting up, he scanned the darkness.

"Who's there?" He called, his voice breaking the heavy silence.

For a mont, there was no response. But then, a faint sound—like a rustling of silk—reached his ears.

"Guards!" He shouted, leaping out of bed.

Before he could reach the door, a figure materialized from the mist—a cloaked assassin whose face was hidden beneath a mask. The faint moonlight caught the glint of a blade in their hand.

"You..." Shen Hao whispered, his voice trembling. "Do you know who I am?"

The assassin tilted their head, their voice as cold as the grave. "You are but a pawn in the fall of an empire."

The blade moved faster than Shen Hao's eyes could follow. By dawn, his lifeless body was discovered, a crimson stain spreading across his silk sheets.

Panic engulfed the palace. Within days, more mbers of the royal family t their untily ends.

Princess Shen Xue, known for her beauty and cunning, was found in her chambers, her lips stained black from poison. The wine goblet in her hand bore no fingerprints, the poison's source untraceable.

Prince Shen Long, a warrior beloved by the people, fell from his balcony in the dead of night. His body lay broken in the courtyard below, but there were no witnesses and no sign of a struggle.

The court descended into chaos as the emperor's most trusted advisors began to suspect one another.

"Your Majesty," Shen Yi began during an ergency council eting, his voice shaking. "This is no re rebellion. This enemy is... supernatural. No ordinary assassins could penetrate the palace defenses and kill so precisely!"

Shen Wuyang, his face pale but his deanor defiant, growled, "Do not speak of ghosts and demons in my court! I will not let fear govern this empire. Soone here—" his gaze swept over the gathered ministers, "—is aiding these assassins. I will find them."

As the ministers argued, an assassin slipped silently into the palace under the cover of the mist. Unlike the others, this one was not here to kill.

Instead, they planted letters, each bearing the sa chilling ssage:

"The Bai Da Empire crumbles not from outside but from within. Fear the shadows, for they know your every secret."

These letters appeared in the chambers of ministers, generals, and even Emperor Shen Wuyang himself. The ssage struck a deep chord of paranoia, driving a wedge between allies and sowing distrust.

In the days that followed, Emperor Shen Wuyang's composure unraveled. He held court sessions at all hours, demanding answers that no one could provide. His once mighty voice now cracked with desperation.

"Blood Red Hall! Where is the help from the Blood Red Hall" He roared during one such session, flinging a golden goblet across the chamber. "Little Shen is the proud disciple of the high elder, why?... why has no one co for our aide? Are we... abandoned by the Blood Red Hall?"

Pri Minister Wei Yan, ever the voice of reason, stepped forward. "Your Majesty, we must approach this with caution. Rash actions will only weaken us further. These assassins thrive on chaos—do not give it to them."

Shen Wuyang glared at him, his eyes bloodshot. "Do not lecture , Wei Yan! While you spout wisdom, my family lies in graves, and my empire burns!"

Late one night, a servant discovered a chilling sight in the royal gardens: the statue of the empire's founder, Emperor Shen Guang, defaced with blood-red writing.

"The dragon bleeds, and the vultures circle."

The servant's scream echoed through the palace, drawing the guards and ministers. Shen Wuyang arrived monts later, his face ashen.

"What... what is the aning of this?" He demanded, his voice trembling.

The answer ca not from his ministers but from the mist itself, as whispers carried on the wind seed to taunt him.

"The empire falls tonight!"

As the mist thickened, Shen Wuyang gripped the hilt of his sword, his once unshakable confidence reduced to a flickering fla. Sowhere in the darkness, his enemies watched and waited, their plans nearing fruition.

And the dragon of Bai Da, for the first ti in his reign, felt the icy grip of fear.
