"Is that an Ancient Gargant?"
Inside the cramped tank, Yarrick heard Adam's words and narrowed his eyes.
"This commotion... Ork Ancient Gargants shouldn't be this big."
Based on his understanding of Orks, he quickly asked, "Can you describe the size of that heavy ch?"
"See for yourself."
Adam raised his hand, and his Reality Warping Ability activated, reshaping the dim light around them according to his will.
A lifelike holographic projection appeared inside the tank's compartnt, and a nacing Ancient Gargant model materialized before Yarrick.
After a quick scan of the Ancient Gargant and the Ork tanks beside it, and estimating the scale, Yarrick's face showed clear solemnity.
"The situation is not good. Those Orks have clearly built sothing massive. The size of this Ancient Gargant... it looks like it already exceeds the class of a Warhound Scout Titan."
This was very wrong.
It should be noted that, normally, Ork Ancient Gargants are equivalent to the Imperium of Man's Knights (a shortened term for a type of super-large Knight ch), and do not reach the Titan class.
But as everyone knows, it's impossible for Ork creations to strictly follow conventional rules. The creations vary greatly depending on the scrap collected and the different ideas in a Big k's head, often giving a huge surprise to enemies who try to play by the rules.
And now, it was the Armageddon Steel Legion soldiers' turn to taste this surprise.
"It's a pity we don't currently have a Shadowsword Super-heavy Tank specifically for hunting Titans."
Yarrick imdiately made a judgnt, "But it doesn't matter. A Titan-level unit isn't invincible, especially with so many Super-heavy Tanks at our disposal now."
"The previous offensive progressed relatively smoothly, and a large part of our armored forces is still intact. Now is the ti to sacrifice them."
Based on his experience as an Imperial Political Commissar, his thinking was very clear, and he quickly drew up a battle plan: "Now, vehicles without anti-tank capabilities should be expended as a trade-off, to gain firing space for the remaining tanks and destroy the other Ork tanks one by one."
"Once the exchanges are complete, concentrate all Super-heavy Tanks, such as the stormsword and Hellhamr, to focus fire on that giant Ork Ancient Gargant."
"This plan will indeed involve many sacrifices, but it is worth it."
However, upon hearing this plan, Adam shook his head.
"More sacrifices... This is typical Imperial thinking."
Yarrick: "Huh?"
Adam continued, "It's true that sacrifice is the cornerstone of the Imperium, but it is by no ans the only option; it should be our last resort."
"Right now, we are far from being at our wit's end."
In the current Imperium of Man, under the influence of the Ecclesiarchy, sacrifice and fanaticism have beco the mainstream culture, with everyone considering returning to the Golden Throne after death as the highest honor.
Adam could not deny the Ecclesiarchy's contribution; it provided a powerful cultural narrative that linked every human planet with different cultures in this dark galaxy, preventing them from becoming a scattered ss.
But as for its shortcomings... its decaying ideology stifled almost all subjective initiative. Everyone was in a state of fanaticism, unwilling to rationally consider the overall outco of victory or defeat, as they did during the Great Crusade.
Adam felt this was not a good thing.
"Don't panic, I have a plan."
He simply gave an instruction, then with a thought, contacted the team mbers he had dispatched earlier.
Whether it was Inquisitor Sibylla, Living Saint Lucia, or Custodian Leonardo, as Adam's most elite units, they were not idle or doing nothing while the Armageddon Steel Legion was making rapid progress.
"How is it? Has it been successfully resolved?"
Adam asked through psychic communication.
"Lord Adam, mission accomplished."
On the other side of the Hive City, Sibylla looked around and nodded with satisfaction.
On the surrounding floor, nurous Ork corpses lay scattered, bearing incomplete wounds caused by psychic energy.
Sibylla looked up, and reflected in her pupils was a towering, colossal Plasma Heavy Cannon, its muzzle pointed towards the sky.
It was this Hive City's plasma orbital defense heavy cannon.
And at this mont, this precious Plasma Heavy Cannon clearly looked to be in poor condition, covered in flashing electrical sparks and emitting thick black smoke, obviously having suffered extrely severe damage.
At the base of this heavy cannon, tal doors slowly opened, and two golden-armored figures erged.
It was Leonardo and Lucia.
They nodded to Sibylla, signaling that the mission was completely accomplished.
"We have successfully destroyed this Plasma Heavy Cannon and confird that it is essentially no longer usable."
"Orbit is secure."
Hearing the final confirmation, Adam nodded and drew the Caladbolg.
"In that case, let's begin."
The invisible channel connection was re-established, and he imdiately began to summon the machine spirit of that strike cruiser.
In space, plasma engines spewed thick exhaust plus, and the massive hull turned its direction, heading towards the Hive City.
"What the hell?"
Warboss Harkya Bloodaxe, who was excitedly roaring and preparing for a massive fight while driving the Ancient Gargant, suddenly widened his eyes.
The light emitted by the star was obscured, and a huge shadow was cast down, causing the Greenskin Boyz on the ground, who were in a frenzy, to stiffen their heads and involuntarily look up.
The strike cruiser, forged entirely from adamantium, hovered in the sky like a Sword of Damocles, coldly looking down at the Orks below, who seed like ants.
Ah, this... what should we do about this?
Seeing this scene, the Orks below imdiately fell into chaos.
It's not that the Orks feared death... it's just that being blasted to death by a shrimp's naval cannon definitely wouldn't be considered a proper way to die, would it?
"What are you Boyz panicking about?"
A strange gaphone transmitted Harkya's voice into the ears of every Ork below.
"Use your brains and think, this big shrimp ship is just here to scare us! Don't forget, this Hive City's Void Shield device is still functioning normally!"
As Harkya said, the Orks then noticed that a light blue energy barrier still enveloped the entire Hive City, blocking them off from that terrifying shrimp big ship.
So that's how it is!
Boss is still the smartest!
The Orks imdiately stopped panicking and instead cheered excitedly, with so Boyz even provocatively dancing towards the big ship above.
But Harkya's heart, however, subtly tightened.
Would those cunning shrimps really just bring out a big ship and do nothing?
