Now reading: Chapter 203: Rainfather, not so invincible from Warhammer 40k : Terrabyte, a Action novel by AinzOoalG0wn.

Under Rainfather's 'purification,' the Tyranid Swarm was swept away in swathes. After this scene continued for several tens of minutes, the players riding on the Nurgle Beast's back gradually beca sowhat listless.

This was partly because the viruses and bacteria perating the air caused negative effects in their status bars to stack higher and higher, and partly because the sa scene had continued for too long. Just watching a large tree sweep up trash as a bystander was already quite boring.

Finally, a player couldn't help but speak up.

"Rainfather, sir, do you... have any new tricks?"

"Yeah, yeah, just watching you sweep bugs with branches is a bit monotonous."

Hearing the 'family's' request, Rainfather also seed to feel that his fighting style was a bit too simple. He thought for a mont, then said kindly, "Alright, watch closely. I shall now use a new thod to usher these blasphers into the cycle of life and death beloved by the Benevolent Father."

The players' eyes imdiately lit up, and they all perked up.

Rainfather opened his abyssal maw, and a shimring green light began to converge deep in his throat, followed by a terrifying energy fluctuation spreading out. Just as the green light was about to reach its peak, as if it would erupt the next second, for so reason, the light suddenly and quickly dissipated.

"Hmm?" The players were all stunned. "What's going on? Constipation?"

Rainfather himself found it strange, but he still patiently explained, "Those strange shadows in the empyrean suddenly beca thicker, and my power was weakened. Wait a mont, I will gather it again..."

Before he finished speaking, Rainfather's massive body suddenly vanished from its original spot!

The violent bang from tearing through the air directly shattered the players' eardrums, causing them to fall into temporary deafness. The ensuing hurricane almost swept them off the Nurgle Beast's back. If everyone hadn't instinctively clung tightly to the flesh beneath them, they would probably have flown off by now.

Everyone finally managed to steady themselves, reacted, and looked back, all gasping in a cold breath. They saw an extrely long trench on what was originally a relatively flat ground, which at first glance looked like a dried-up riverbed. At the end of this trench, Rainfather was staggering to his feet, letting out an angry roar at the thing that had suddenly attacked him.

Opposite him was a terrifying tyranid creature. From the players' angle, they could clearly see a large amount of overgrown brain tissue on its back, like an external device, almost covering the entire spine. The flickering eerie blue psychic arcs on it showcased the imnse power contained within its body. Its entire body was covered in gnarled muscle tissue, and its heavy carapace reflected a tallic sheen under the dim light, enough to deflect tank-destroying shells.

The mont they saw this creature, the players not only felt no fear but instead showed expressions of extre excitent.

"Holy crap! Norn Emissary! The tyranid are getting serious!"

"Now this is sothing to watch! Everyone, quickly start recording! First-person, high-definition, uncensored!"

"To witness such a battle of powerhouses, it's worth the price of admission even if we die!"

The battle between the Norn Emissary and Rainfather erupted instantly, and a true clash of titans began. Rainfather brandished his thick stem and branches, each swing kicking up a green storm. In a few breaths, the entire battlefield transford into a vibrant yet incredibly evil garden.

From the garden's soil, countless small, delicate Nurgle daemons, shaped like Rainfather, shrieked as they burrowed out. Like joyful children, they sward the Norn Emissary in groups, attempting to use their insignificant yet foul bodies to hold back this giant enemy.

Facing this world-altering power, the Norn Emissary remained silent. He rely let out a silent psychic shriek—a pure psychic shockwave that spread out in a ring from him. All the Nurgle daemons that rushed forward instantly evaporated before this shockwave like bubbles under a scorching sun, leaving no trace behind. The aftershocks of each collision between the two were enough to wipe out a mortal army.

However, as the battle progressed, Rainfather gradually fell into a disadvantage. Facing the Norn Emissary's attacks, he began to falter. Even the Nurgle Beast that the players were riding noticed this; it anxiously twisted its corpulent body, emitting mournful whimpers from its throat.

"What's going on?" A player found it hard to believe. "Didn't they say the Norn Emissary is comparable to a regular Greater daemon? How co even Rainfather, who has a na and reputation, can't beat him?"

The captain thought for a while, then pointed into the distance and proposed a possibility: "Because of the warp shadow, which is the black screen. The black screen has weakened Rainfather's power. Look at where we ca from, the plants that grew because of Rainfather's power are already starting to wither."

The players craned their necks to look, and it was indeed true. The once vibrant, twisted plants were now rapidly dimming, and the strange insects flying around were falling to the ground, listless.

"Hiss, it really might be like that." Everyone felt it made sense.

Just then, the Norn Emissary seized an opening, and its huge scythe-like forelimb once again pierced Rainfather's shoulder, almost going through to his abdon. Rainfather roared in anger; although this injury was nothing to a Nurgle Greater daemon, being stabbed like this dozens of tis in a row would make the situation entirely different.

"I think we need to find a way to help," the captain said in a deep voice. "At least to make Rainfather last longer and kill more bugs."

The team mbers were puzzled: "How do we help? Is this level of battle sothing we can interfere with?"

"Yeah, if we get close, we'll probably be shredded into blood mist by the aftershocks of the battle on both sides."

The captain, however, confidently pulled out a small, red plastic building block from his pocket.

"Use this!"

"Na: Lego"

"Type: Other"

"Quality: Perfect"

"Attributes: None"

"Effect One: Can be assembled into various cool things"

"Effect Two: If stepped on, it will hurt (it really hurts)"

"Note: As the first plastic building block toy launched by a Danish toy manufacturer in 1949, it is greatly welcod by all children and parents worldwide. No one can refuse its charm."

The captain patted the Nurgle Beast beneath him, urging, "Quick, get a little closer, we're going to help him!"

The Nurgle Beast, in its anxious state, was very obedient and imdiately moved closer to the center of the battle. When they were close enough, the captain shouted with all his might, "Rainfather, sir! We're here to help you!"

At the sa ti, he forcefully threw the Lego brick in his hand. For so reason, this small brick was not destroyed or blown away by the terrifying aftershocks of the battle between the two sides. Instead, it traced a perfect arc and landed steadily right in the center of the battle between the two behemoths.

However, things did not go as planned.

The first to step on this brick was not the Norn Emissary, but... Rainfather. His enormous, rotting right foot landed steadily and squarely on that small Lego brick.

The next second, an earth-shattering scene occurred.

Rainfather suddenly lifted his right foot, completely disregarding that he was in a life-and-death struggle with the Norn Emissary. He dropped his thick stem and branches, grabbed the sole of his right foot, and let out a heart-wrenching, pain-filled roar:

"Awooo—!"

The Norn Emissary, of course, would not miss this once-in-a-lifeti opportunity. Its two scythe-like limbs instantly lunged forward, piercing deep into Rainfather's body without obstruction. Only then did Rainfather's hands drop from his sole, hastily trying to grasp the blades embedded in his body, but it was too late.

The Norn Emissary let out a sharp shriek, and with a sudden burst of power from its arms, it forcibly tore Rainfather's massive body into two halves!

Rainfather could not rise again. His torn corpse gradually began to lt, turning into green light particles. The Norn Emissary, anwhile, raised his head high, letting out a triumphant roar to the sky.

The players riding on the Nurgle Beast all cried out in dismay.

"It's over! We ssed up! We made things worse!"

"Oh, crap, Rainfather, why did you die!"

"Rainfather, don't die! If you die, how will we live!"

The last player was right. After the Norn Emissary finished roaring, his cold compound eyes turned towards them. The next mont, his figure vanished from its original spot, and with a speed no one could discern, he crashed into the still-whimpering Nurgle Beast, all the players on its back, and everything in his path, turning them all into a sky full of blood mist.
