The first wave, the second wave, two waves of the Zombie Swarm posed no threat to the soldiers, and similarly, the ranged weapons and muskets of the Human-Dwarf Alliance Army never fired a single shot.

However, the Undead Legion was not composed solely of the Zombie Swarm.

Apparently, the enemy realized that the Zombie Swarm could no longer absorb damage, so in the distance, those truly powerful armies began to show themselves.

There were dozens of Terror Wolves, their hungry mouths drooling, wide open as they ran swiftly, cunningly hiding behind the Zombie Swarm, ready to devour fresh, delicious human flesh.

Behind them, several Skeleton Legions were slowly advancing.

But the alliance was prepared long before; on horseback, Kingdom Knights’ Hex raised his cavalry lance: "First rank, open fire!"

"Fire!!!" The squad leaders and company commanders shouted, as the crossbown and dwarf musketeers imdiately obeyed, pulling the triggers toward the Terror Wolf Pack.

Hundreds of muskets and hundreds of crossbows and arrows fired in unison, the gunpowder’s bullets arriving first, engulfing the greediest Terror Wolves at the forefront in flas; then, dense arrows followed, piercing through the Terror Wolves.

The first wave of firepower overwheld the entire Terror Wolf Pack, and by the end of the volley, only three of the dozens remained alive, their bodies riddled with arrows.

The roar of artillery then followed, as the dwarf cannonballs exploded amidst the dense formation of the Skeleton Warrior Legion, scattering the Skeleton Legion into pieces. The thunderous sound made Remon cheer uncontrollably, and the soldiers shouted, venting their joy; every cannonball could destroy dozens of the fragile bodies of the Skeleton Warrior, blasting them into bits.

What boosted the soldiers’ morale even more was that even the Desolute Tomb Guards, unable to contend with the Dwarves’ artillery, fell. One Desolate Tomb Guard was directing the troops when a cannonball hit its body on the spot. In the explosion, its seemingly indestructible armor was shattered by the bursting shell of the cannon, from chest to waist, its entire filthy body blasted into two, its soul fire in the eyes extinguished, the remaining half stood upright before falling.

"Nice!" Remon couldn’t help but shout, using the spearhead of his halberd to pierce through a Skeleton Warrior’s chest, the blade cleaving another Skeleton Warrior’s head off. The Long Halberd Corps was fighting unceasingly, or rather, all the Infantry began to face the Undead’s attack directly as volleys of cannon fire and muskets rang out. The Crossbowman Battalion and Peasant Archer Corp also fired with full force, shouting the holy na of the Lake Fairy, channeling their hatred toward their enemies!

However, the efforts of mortals were far from sufficient.

The wails and screeches of the Undead resounded at the foot of the Gray Mountain Range, echoing among the mountains, as more Skeleton Warrior Legions and Desolate Grave Guard Legions charged onto the battlefield. The shrill howls nearly drove Remon mad, he could no longer hear the sound of his own breathing, the Halberdiers barely held back the enemies in front, realizing the Undead tide had not been deterred by the powerful ranged firepower.

These Undying Creatures knew neither fatigue nor fear, they simply advanced; when the ones in front fell, the ones behind continued, pushing them forward as those in front blocked their steps!

Tens of thousands of Undead tide began to swamp the human army’s phalanx, the formation remained firm, but every Skeleton Warrior or Desolate Tomb Guard could cause the line to retreat or shake, and as gaps widened, the first to break was the Peasant Infantry Corp. Their long spears shattered, the Peasant Infantry had no choice but to face the rusty blades and decayed spears of the Skeleton Warriors directly, the Infantry Corps was forced to retreat, with many Peasant Infantry having already fallen on the spot, while even more slowly fell back.

The human body seed more fragile than the Undead; flesh torn apart, entrails ripped out, Peasant Infantry fell in large numbers, a Tomb Evil Ghost slaughtered at least half a dozen of them with just a few strikes, but then it was struck down by multiple musket shots, collapsing.

Crossbown and archers continued to rain arrows, dwarf Thunder Gunners kept firing, covering the Undead Legion with cannon fire, yet the Undead Legion erging from the horizon seed endless.

"Aaargh!" A Halberdier beside Remon had his long halberd unfortunately broken; he was imdiately stabbed successively in the arm, chest, and abdon by three long spears, blood spreading across the ground, his body torn to pieces in the blink of an eye, turning into several parts.

"Die!" Remon seized an opening, swinging his long halberd to cut down a Skeleton Warrior, his ally’s body already drowned in the corpse tide. The young soldier imdiately gave up on reclaiming his comrade’s corpse, knowing he couldn’t move, and behind him, another young Halberdier imdiately filled the gap.

Three seconds later, this Halberdier was beheaded by a Desolate Tomb Guard, and another soldier filled the gap once more.

Humanity was using flesh and blood to resist the Undead’s assault.

The line was steadily retreating; they couldn’t hold for much longer.

The Count would not abandon us, Remon believed so firmly; the Halberdiers’ arms were sore, and he followed the others, slowly retreating. His comrades fell one by one, exhaustion tornting his body, seeping through his soul.

The Count would not abandon us; gripping the long halberd with renewed effort, Remon executed a textbook thrust, bringing down a charging Terror Wolf, he thought again.

"Toot~" A horn sounded from the west, hoofbeats masked the sound, and although Remon’s fragile hearing failed to catch the specifics, he was sure it was a speech full of glory and conviction.

The Knights were readying their charge.

"Oh, I like this." The young soldier muttered, preparing to rally his comrades to assist the Master Knights in launching a counterattack, but the scene before him quickly filled him with surprise.

The sa horn sounded within the Undead Array, as a massive Undead Knight Legion was entering the battlefield.

In the sky overhead, a massive terrifying beast with wings spread wide spewed green flas, flying toward the human army—Remon didn’t know its na, but he knew this beast was certainly not on their side.

"Oh, God of Justice above," Fear gripped Remon’s heart, and he retreated, trembling all over.

"I don’t like this."
