"Whoosh~" The sweeping giant axe knocked Geoffrey off his warhorse.
Tumbling awkwardly to the ground, Geoffrey struggled to stand and fight Guer. As he tried to get up, the black serrated axe blade pierced through his back from behind, slicing open his plate armor. A chilling sensation spread across his chest, and he tasted blood in his mouth as it spilled out.
He knew he was about to die.
Guer pulled out his black giant axe and approached Geoffrey. With one powerful swing, he decapitated the Champion Knight, yanking the bloodied head from the knight’s neck. Guer howled to the sky, celebrating his victory.
A mix of cheers and cries filled the air as several knights attempted to reclaim Geoffrey’s head, only to beco Guer’s next victims. This deceased Chaos Champion of the Four Gods swept through everything in his path, preparing to return and support Kemler—his master.
anwhile, at the Ancient Tomb Legion’s command post.
"Kemler!!!" A thunderous shout echoed from afar. Duke Francois and two knights behind him broke through the final defenses, charging toward Mathew Bade and Kemler who were on the platform. The light from the Lake God shimred around Francois, surrounding the Duke of Winford in a soft glow. Any guards who tried to stop him were instantly slain. Francois’s face bore an intense, icy anger: "Today is the day you die!"
"Francois... Francois!" Kemler gripped the Noisy Skull Staff tightly, knowing that this mont would decide victory or defeat!
Mathew Bade attempted to block Francois, only to be intercepted by an Expedition Knight clad in a red and blue robe, wearing a golden Fire Dragon Cross Helt, wielding the Divine Sword "Durandal": "Your opponent is ! Traitor!"
"Kaled!" Mathew Bade’s eyes turned blood-red as he grasped his Black Blade, clashing with Kaled.
Elsewhere, Count Kuileu Antel blocked several Undead Chaos Chosen Warriors coming to aid: "Brother! I leave it to you!"
Finally, Kemler and Francois faced each other. The Duke of Winford raised his Unicorn Sword high, reminiscent of their battle at the La-snil Abbey over two decades ago.
The first strike, the Unicorn Sword’s blade traced a silver arc, slicing downwards. Kemler instinctively raised his Noisy Skull Staff to block.
"Crack~" The staff was cleaved in two by Francois’s strike. Sacrificing his staff, Kemler narrowly evaded Francois’s assault.
With a face full of rage, Francois slashed out a second ti.
"Clang~" The Chaos Tomb Digger Sword unsheathed, the sharp clash of steel on steel and the sparks revealed the intensity of the duel. With the blessing of the Evil God, Kemler barely blocked the strike once more.
But Francois’s assault was not over. The Unicorn Sword erupted with dazzling light, a purifying brilliance that nearly blinded the Undead Grand Mage. Kemler scread in agony, staggering back, covering his eyes, temporarily unable to see.
"Die, Kemler, for the knights and citizens you killed, for my father, for the Lady!" Francois’s warhorse reared, poised to deliver the final blow from above to Kemler!
"Ha~ The one who will die today is you, Francois!" A grueso smile suddenly appeared on Kemler’s lips as he extended one hand, the Wind of the Dead surging forth.
Guer, who had been at least ten ters away, instantly appeared behind Francois. The serrated axe blade of the black giant axe swung towards the Duke of Winford like a whirlwind.
"What?!"
"It’s over, Francois. Our more than twenty-year-old vendetta ends today!"
