In the dazzling white light, the Lake Fairy's exquisite face appeared amidst wisps of mist.
The Guardian God of Brittania was dressed today in a sky-blue floral-patterned, wave-embroidered strapless silk gown. Her unparalleled beauty was adorned with a faint smile that sketched an exquisite curve, her radiant and charming face exuding a playful glow from her green eyes, her bare slender feet suspended in mid-air, so beautiful as if it were a masterpiece painting.
The small reception room was filled with the fragrance of flowers and earth, along with that sacred aura.
Her ankle-length golden hair was adorned with a crown of flowers, swaying in the air with her movents. A shining moonstone hung before her full bosom, her proud figure displayed in front of her followers without reservation. From her sleeves and hair flowed nurous ribbons, each engraved with sacred runes, and every corner of her silk gown was adorned with chains and pendants made of gold and silver. Her necklace and earrings were crafted from platinum diamonds, said to be beloved by the Elves.
Laine thought to himself: The Lake Fairy's attire alone might be worth several years of Brittania's taxes.
More importantly, despite eting her several tis, the Lake Fairy never wore the sa clothes.
It can only be said that this Goddess is truly affluent.
"Laine~ My champion~" The sacred voice of the Lake Fairy echoed in the narrow room. In front of her were Laine, Surya, and Sylvia, who kneeled on one knee: "And the daughter of Francois, the daughter of Vincent, please rise."
"Yes! My Lady!" The three of them then stood up.

The Lake Fairy frequently visited the Pri Material World among the Gods. As the daughter of the Holy Grail Knight and Grand Duke, Surya had seen the Lake Fairy before.
But in the few mories she had, the Lady of the Lake's magnificent face was always serious and cold, serene yet rciless. The weak had no place under her hand, only through devotion and sacrifice could one earn her fleeting gaze.
No creature could long gaze upon the Lake Fairy's flawless countenance, for such an act was bizarre and dangerous. There had been petty individuals who attempted to clearly see the Goddess's visage, and their fate can well be imagined...
She had never seen such an emotionally rich Lake Fairy.
However, Laine seed unphased by the situation; rather, he was quite accustod to it.
"I have so words to say to Laine. I hope you can temporarily..." Sure enough, the Lake Fairy smiled and delivered her oracle.
"Understood, My Lady. I will leave imdiately." The female knight, instinctively grasping her maid's hand, wanted to leave, but the Lake Fairy gestured for her to co over: "But before that, Surya, co here. I have a small gift to give you."
A silver pendant, faintly glowing, was placed in the Duke's daughter's hand, infused with the flowing Divine Power of the Lake Fairy. Laine judged that this pendant was likely a spontaneous creation by the Lake Fairy.
"May the clear river accompany your Knightly Path, dear Surya. Extend my regards to your father, Francois." The slender fingers of the Lady of the Lake brushed through the golden strands of the female knight, giving her an unparalleled encouragent. Surya imdiately felt a great sense of recognition and exhilaration, instinctively standing upright.
"Then, Sylvia, please step forward." The Lake Fairy proceeded to beckon Sylvia forward.
The solemn maid blushed deeply, hesitantly speaking in a whisper: "My Lady, I am not worthy..."
"Then I will await the day you are worthy." The Lake Fairy did not force her.
The Lake Fairy then fell silent, and the female knight and her maid tactfully departed, leaving the small reception room to Laine and their Lady.
As Surya and Sylvia exited, the Lake Fairy noticed the female knight looked back with so concern at Laine, and a thought grew stronger in the Goddess's mind.
"Laine, my champion." The Lake Fairy turned, her verdant eyes gazing at Laine's form. Her voice was like soft feathers and sharp swords clearing brambles: "Sit down."
The Lady's Divine Chosen Champion was slightly uneasy. When he made his decision, he indeed attempted to pray to his Lady, realizing she had heard his prayer, though she had not replied.
