The situation is different now. To Laine, Veronica is no longer the Jialan Witch who needed mutual support along with the young Ranger Knight; she is no longer a necessity for him.

Aurora sighed lightly, the Holy Sanctuary Great Witch grasped her daughter's hand: "My daughter, you might not be able to set off for a while. I discussed your deploynt with Margarita, but the Speaker insists you complete the current tasks on hand before discussing any deploynt permits. As for Bernadotte... Margarita, while reminding her to engage more with her partners, also suggested that Veronica attempt to establish a teleportation array connecting Baron Gene's Domain with the Celestial Vault Castle.
A large amount of clothing and various trinkets along with the alchemy workbench were collected by Veronica, for which she also specifically borrowed two storage rings from the Speaker.
