The lady knight felt a stir in her heart. Alia’s words seed to have a hidden aning. So, she wrapped her legs in a blanket, hugged a teddy bear, and responded to Alia, "Well, if I’d known this earlier, I would’ve declined Laine’s invitation. Wouldn’t that give you a chance?"
"That won’t do either. If Surya Sister does that, Mr. Laine would be heartbroken." Alia appeared sowhat feeble, "In any case, this is good enough. I’m already very satisfied to be out here with Mr. Laine."
"Hahaha~" Surya couldn’t help but cover her mouth and giggle. The girl in front of her may have had so little sches, but her nature was truly kind.
But then her maid, Sylvia, suddenly blushed and said to her, "Miss, actually, directly agreeing to Lord Laine’s request isn’t very appropriate. It would be better to have it approved by the Duke first, wouldn’t it?"

What those efforts specifically were, Surya didn’t ntion, but Sylvia and Alia understood.
Alia looked at the Duke’s daughter, so poised and capable, with mixed feelings. The girl sighed softly. She originally intended to wait until Laine had settled down here and then find a chance to slowly get closer to him. But the speed at which the Duke’s daughter appeared was astonishing. Her gentle nature and beauty made it hard not to feel good about being around her.
Furthermore, Laine’s behavior towards her was different. He still treated her like a little maidservant or a sister, whereas with the lady knight before her, it was obvious he was aiming for "that kind of" relationship.
The journey was uneventful, and the three girls enjoyed a relaxing and pleasant ti together. As the carriage wheels slowly turned, Surya rembered sothing else. She held Sylvia’s small hand and said, "By the way, Sylvia, didn’t you always hope Laine could give you so pointers on swordsmanship? This is a good opportunity."
"Huh? But... but." The sowhat stern and serious Sylvia quickly blushed, "Going straight up to ask for advice... isn’t it a bit inappropriate?"
"How could it be? Sylvia, don’t forget, you..." Surya whispered sothing into Sylvia’s ear, and the maid blushed but nodded, "Hmm, if you put it that way, indeed."
While the girls were happily chatting inside the carriage, Laine, who was riding outside, encountered a young knight.
The young knight was riding a standard Brittania Half-Elf Warhorse, its body adorned with red and blue tack embroidered with the fleur-de-lis pattern. The knight was dressed in full plate armor, topped with a black surcoat, and his shield bore the image of a yellow sword-wielding stepping lion against a black background.
This indicated he was a knight of the Connet Duchy, but the absence of the red and blue coat of arms suggested he wasn’t a clan knight or a direct descendant of the Duke.
Laine hadn’t seen this coat of arms before.
"Hello, traveler from afar, honorable Holy Grail Knight, are you also heading to Boldro for the party?" the young knight promptly said, seemingly unsurprised by the appearance of Laine and his companions.
"Indeed, I am Laine Macado," Laine responded. "May I ask who you are?"
"I am Mathew Bade, from the Connet Duchy, a Ranger Knight. If you wouldn’t mind, could I accompany you?"
After speaking, the young knight seed to deliberately glance at the luxurious carriage.
"Everyone needs a companion on the road."
