"Wait! My lady." Laine hurriedly grabbed her wrist as she was about to rush out.

Considering the political influence, the Lake God Witch couldn’t rashly convict a duke, nor could she take Laine’s eavesdropping as evidence for him to confront Fiona. From a physical evidence standpoint, the Nine Volus were already lost. If Theodoric denied it, Mogiana couldn’t forcibly detain and interrogate the duke himself. Mogiana took off her crown, the pale moonlight shining on her face: "Brittania’s vampire problems have been longstanding. We’ve exerted efforts many tis but to no avail, as you know. More than once, a whole duke and his family have been discovered to beco Midnight Nobles."
Laine nodded, he organized his words and then asked: "My lady, can you detail the Night of Blood incident for ?"
"Sure." Mogiana recounted her experience in detail.

"So it’s more likely the second scenario. Let’s assu Nagash’s Nine Volus are indeed at Borelion. Then the second possibility is that vampires or undead mages sohow got this information and seized the chance to incite the Night of Blood to capture the fourth volu of the Nine Volus." Laine continued analyzing, rubbing his chin while proposing the second hypothesis.
"The crux of the problem lies with Mathew Bade." Mogiana imdiately grasped the point, the Lake God Witch took out a docunt: "Whether it’s the Night of Blood at Borelion or the Battle of Kulona Plains, they share a commonality, which is Mathew Bade was present nearby."
"Right, whether Nagash’s Nine Volus truly exist or whether Mathew Bade actually stole the book, he’s rather suspicious because he was present during the Night of Blood and the Battle of Kulona Plains."
