"Buy! Just buy it!"

"I want it all!"

"No, buying this one makes want to buy that one too. I'll be drinking porridge for the rest of the month."

Musillon was once very prosperous. Most of the ti, a Vampire Lord ruling over a territory tends to be more prosperous than human nobility. The demands on their living subjects are minimal—just blood and labor. Vampire Lords have plenty of ways to increase their inco, and their long and eternal lives allow them to accumulate a huge amount of wealth.

This is the reason why Musillon is so prosperous.

The buying frenzy ca in waves, and Jerald's sword eagerly drank the blood of the Fallen. The thieves targeted these goods, and the powerful Kingdom Knights had to catch them and kill them.

Next to a stall, a rather luxurious carriage was gently rocking. The fat rchant was inside, and since he entered, the carriage had been shaking nonstop. It rocked as long as the sumr sale lasted.

"Hey, you deadbeat, look at that! You can't even asure up to a fat guy weighing hundreds of pounds!" A woman in her forties saw the carriage rocking and seized the opportunity to mock her husband.

"Who knows what kind of potion that fat guy took?" The man looked a bit embarrassed and angry: "Enough, if you don't want to buy anything, let's go ho."

The carriage kept rocking, with sounds emanating from inside, eliciting wild thoughts.

"Whimper, whimper~"

"Whimper, whimper~"

Inside the carriage, the whimpering continued, but it was not what people imagined within the heavy curtains.

Everything was an illusion of Magic. Laine sat in the middle of the carriage, observing the bustling marketplace, and turned to Veronica on his lap: "Let's think about what it takes to build a siege engine?"

"Whimper, whimper~ Ah!" Veronica intentionally cried out, and Jialan Witch let out a shy annoyed sound, striking Laine's chest with her delicate fist: "Stop it!"

"I'm not joking with you, Veronica. Don't fool around." Laine withdrew his hand from beneath Veronica's skirt, then turned to Teresa sitting beside him: "Teresa, what do you think?"

"First, we can be sure that making a siege engine requires a lot of materials and living helpers; zombies and skeletons, main undead labor, can't accomplish manufacturing a siege engine." Teresa wore an incredibly ugly eagle-hook nose mask, and the female sorcerer sat beside Laine with her legs bent, cautiously saying: "Also, siege engines require a large amount of material."

"You're saying a bunch of nonsense, Trovik." Veronica said impatiently: "Anyone could think of these things."

"So, what's your brilliant insight, Veronica?" Teresa was imdiately provoked by Veronica, the rivalry between the female sorcerer and witch made Laine quite troubled. Their roles beside Laine were too similar, leading to extrely poor relations; this conflict grew from childhood onwards, and Laine had completely given up on making peace between them.

"There are three key points to creating a giant siege engine: adequate space, abundant materials, and excellent craftsn. And now, in warti, Musillon's chaos ans the siege engine construction site is definitely sealed off, so the first thing we need to find out is which areas of this city are off-limits." Veronica analyzed.

Veronica's analysis was well-reasoned, and Laine nodded repeatedly as he gestured to the Demon Hunter to co over and whispered in his ear.

"Understood." Abel nodded repeatedly, then began trying to chat with the guests waiting in line.

This introduction was easy. Soon, soone told Abel which places in the city were off-limits, naly: rovin Castle serving as the Inner Castle, the docks by the seaside, the undead mage assembly hall, and the library.

Abel easily returned to inform Laine.

"Abel found out for us. The city has three restricted areas: Inner Castle rovin, the harbor docks, and the library as well as several Vampire assembly places." Laine nodded, continuing from within the carriage: "Clearly, it's unlikely that the siege engine is being constructed at the library or assembly sites, so the most likely place for construction is rovin Castle or the docks, or... outside the city."

"The space for creating a siege engine must be large enough, with copious people and resources coming in and out, and the undead can't hide while constructing. Laine, we need to understand the flow of materials, including sufficient wood, stone, and so magic materials." Teresa continued analyzing from her seat beside Laine: "Next, we need to find out where these materials are headed; that will most likely be the place where the siege weapon is being made, unlikely within the city but perhaps outside indeed."

"Good, now it's my turn to take action." Laine adjusted his mask, waiting for his mont to appear.

"Whimper, whimper~" Veronica started again, and Laine reached out to lightly pinch the silky foot of Jialan Witch, painted with red nail polish, held in his palm: "Be quiet, or I might really attempt to experience what it's like to do such a thing on a carriage."
