The bath was done.
On the soft bed in the master bedroom, Mogiana's face was filled with languor and intoxicating redness. Her golden long hair still carried traces of moisture as she half-sat leaning on soft pillows, resting against Laine's shoulder, her tone slightly pleasant: "So, the Wood Elves want to see you?"
"Yes, the Wood Elves have dispatched their envoys. It is said to be the Divine Chosen Champion of Queen Airel of Eslelin—'Heroic' Alaros and the famous Wood Elf Female Prophet Lifer." Laine sat at the bedside, holding Mogiana's hand with a smile, saying: "Winter Festival is not a holiday of the Wood Elves, so taking this opportunity, the Wood Elves' envoys want to et ."
"Wood Elves... I can no longer trust them completely now. If it weren't for the alliance with them, I wouldn't have ended up like this." Mogiana could feel herself extrely relaxed. She liked this, just her and Laine in the room.
In private, they could always say more to each other.
The snow scene outside was beautiful, but the Lake God Witch could not appreciate it fully. She knew that Laine had already risked bringing her out for the festival. Wood Elves are a reclusive bunch, and Tree Spirits rarely leave the Aisloron Forest; the outside world knows nothing about what happens inside the forest.
On Mogiana's beautiful face there was so sadness: "I'm sorry, Laine. I've rested too long. I an, I don't hate being with you but lying around in bed all day as a burden waiting for you, what is that? If I were present, Casvan would definitely not declare war on the Empire."
"Rest peacefully, my highness. Now outside is very dangerous for you; the Vampires must be looking for you." Laine interrupted Mogiana's complaints, gently stroking the Lake God Witch's back: "It won't be too long, at most three years, you'll recover as before."

The Lake God Witch actually had more to say, but she felt it wasn't the ti to say it now. She gently kissed Laine on the lips: "Go ahead, by the way, tonight you co over and stay in my room."
"Is this an order?" Laine jestingly asked, and only a roll of the eyes from Mogiana answered him.
Seeing Laine go out, Mogiana secretly gritted her teeth. In the large bath, she was casually handled, although indeed quite comfortable, but her waist and back inevitably ached. Seeing Laine co out, she spoke softly: "Laine, the Wood Elves' guests have arrived. They're already downstairs."
With the arrival of the Wood Elves, neither Mogiana nor Ollica was fit to et them with Laine. The only suitable person to accompany Laine in hosting the guests was Alia, who specially changed into her best clothes.
"Alia, you look really beautiful today." Laine fixed his gaze on his young maid for a mont and laughed: "Was this bought by Surya for you?"
"Yes, Surya Sister gave it as my graduation gift." Alia spun around once in front of Laine, her spirits high: "I picked it myself."
"Follow , Alia, speak less, observe more." Laine signaled Alia to follow him downstairs to et the two Wood Elf guests.
The visitors were a man and a woman. The male Wood Elf wore a golden pointed antlered helt, dressed in a magnificent lake-green scale armor and a large green handcrafted cloak. Black long hair draped over his shoulders, his handso and unrestrained face held an extrely strong self-confidence and pride. His pair of black eyes were full of defiance, yet his gaze towards Laine also carried so acknowledgnt and respect.
The Wood Elf's muscle was streamlined, and Laine could feel explosive power within him, also sensing a hint of danger.
In so sense, the two were sowhat alike.
It is said that every night of the new moon, Alaros wanders the forest with his hawk, looking for his beloved Goddess—naly Lilith. Thinking of this, Laine couldn't help but want to laugh, his gaze toward Alaros becoming complex.
