By now, it was around eight-thirty in the morning. Casvan and Umberto's armies had been fiercely fighting for an hour and a half on the plains, and the battle remained deadlocked. Brittania's army had a clear advantage with their nurous Ranger Knights and Kingdom Knights exerting a suppressive force, while the Imperial Army, under the cover of steam tanks, had ford a solid line with no signs of collapsing.
A beautiful rainbow stretched from Doomsday Mountain straight across the sky.
Then ca a thunderous sound of hooves.
The unique call of Carl Franz's mount, "Death's Claw," echoed from the mountain path of Doomsday Mountain, accompanied by the orderly shouts of the Rick Guard.
"Rick Guard! Defend the nation! Defend Your Majesty!"
"For the Emperor!"
"For the Emperor!"
The Emperor's banner was held high in the sky by the Standard Bearer Ludwig. Three hundred Rick Guards, over a hundred Half-Griffin Knights, and several hundred Imperial Knights gradually erged from the mountain path of Doomsday Mountain.
The morale of the Imperial Army surged, and the soldiers shouted in disbelief.
"His Majesty is here! His Majesty has not abandoned us!"
"His Majesty's knights have co to rescue us!"
"For Carl Franz!"
Casvan shouted in disbelief: "Impossible, Carl Franz could not have circled the mountain path in just an hour and a half, impossible, this is impossible!"
On the mountain path of Doomsday Mountain, Emperor Carl Franz held the Warhamr Gail-Malaz. Observing the battle on the plain below Doomsday Mountain, he confird that the Imperial Army was still holding on, nodded, and said, "Umberto Prince-Elector is fighting alone, and they've held on to create an opportunity for us. Now, it's our turn to support them."
"Your Majesty, please allow to clear the path for you. After that, it's up to you." The Great Alchemist Biersaze Gaert appeared from behind the Emperor, riding the Pegasus "Swift Silver."
It was this Great Alchemist who, using his Golden Wind spell, turned countless narrow sheep paths on the mountain that could only accommodate one person into paths wide enough for two horses to run parallel, saving the knights an incredible amount of ti.
"Thank you, Gaert, do what you need to, and then leave the rest to us." The Emperor nodded slowly.
Thus, the Great Alchemist began casting his magic. The energy required for this spell was so imnse that even the knights, who knew nothing about magic, could feel the harsh ripping sound and see the golden Magic Wind with the naked eye.
"Devout Gate Great Curse Technique! Ultimate Alchemy!" After a long five-minute casting process, Great Alchemist Gaert raised the Golden Staff high. Thousands of threads made of Mana transford into countless energies of the Great Curse Technique. Magic was woven and guided, golden light spread across the sky, and the rainbow on the horizon was twisted and reforged under the Alchemist's mana.
A Rainbow Bridge composed of the Golden Wind appeared on the mountain path, forming a sky bridge that directly led to the battlefield.
Emperor Carl Franz rode his Griffin and leaped, landing on the shimring Rainbow Bridge.
The Emperor raised the Warhamr, under the light of the morning sun, amidst the mountains of the Gray Mountain Range, and upon the light screen of the Rainbow Bridge. Filled with all his power and anticipation, his battle cry resonated through the mountains.
"For the Empire! For Charlemagne! For Glory!!!"
"For Glory! For the Empire!"
With that said, the Emperor rode Death's Claw. The Griffin's wings flapped, flying onto the Rainbow Bridge, towards the battlefield. Behind him were a thousand elite knights, always ready. Whenever the Emperor and his knights were together, any formidable foe would fail before them.
He firmly believed.
"His Majesty! His Majesty has crossed the rainbow!"
"Follow His Majesty!"
"Advance! Imperial Knights!"
"For Charlemagne, for the Empire!"
A thousand knights unhesitatingly followed Carl Franz, leaping onto the Rainbow Bridge. Filled with courage, faith, and an unswerving determination to win, they rolled towards the battlefield.
The thousand strong infantry corps attempting to resist the Emperor and his knight corps were utterly frightened as they saw the Imperial Knights crossing the sky. Their morale collapsed, they threw down their weapons, and fled screaming in all directions.
Casvan's army hadn't even had ti to form up properly when Carl Franz, leading his knights like a giant siege hamr, smashed into Brittania's formation from the side.
The Divine Hamr fell, shields shattered, waves surged, the Rick Guard crushed everything, the Half-Griffin Knights riding powerful beasts tore through the enemy, using long halberds to pierce any resistance, the Imperial Knights following the Emperor's charge, the side-on assault wave completely destroyed Brittania's chance for victory.
"The ti to counterattack has co! Golden Fleece Knights! Charge with !" Umberto Prince-Elector finally saw the opportunity he had been waiting for. Holding the Holy Sword, he launched a counterattack, and the Golden Fleece Knights responded loudly, forming a wave of counteroffensive.
