There are reasons why knights predominantly do not use ranged weapons in combat. Firstly, firearms do not allow ti to reload during close-quarters combat. Secondly, because of the additional weight, it is inconvenient to also carry firearms when already equipped with a cavalry lance and a sharp sword.
