The blister fell from the giant tree, its wrinkled skin pierced by arrows, spraying out yellow pus. Inside was a creature that appeared half-human, half-beast. Seeing the silhouettes of the group, it let out a piercing howl and charged directly at them, its body covered in fur and rotting skin.
"Shwoo~" Alaros shot another arrow, which, imbued with the Power of Starfire, hit the monster’s throat. The creature howled in agony and fell, rotting into a pool of pus.
"What is this?" Tygris frowned.
"A mutated Beastman, a product of forest spirits deeply corrupted," Alaros shook his head in pain. "Hundreds of years ago, Mogul, the ’Shadow Demon’ Beast King of the Holy Sanctuary, attacked the Aisloron Forest, corrupting Kedile, one of the three Ancient Tree-n. The Wood Elves fought fiercely and killed Mogul in the Anmir Territory, but after Mogul’s death, its filthy blood and dirty soul nearly corrupted half of Anmir. The once-thriving Anmir now withers in despair. Each year, the number of maddened tree spirits and dead trees grows, and our war with the Beastn continues endlessly."
What Alaros didn’t ntion was the worst of it: Mogul could resurrect infinitely.
"Is there no way to purify it?" Tygris, deeply aware of the severity of Chaos Corruption, squatted down, examining the severe corruption on the land. "Perhaps a Great Curse Technique or a ritual ceremony?"
"No way, there’s no way at all." The Female Prophet Lifer was equally sorrowful. "Queen Airel sought many thods to no avail. Mogul, blessed by the Evil God, is a terrifying being, and the corruption it leaves behind is extrely difficult to cleanse. In her desperation, Queen Airel once planned to consu Mogul and rge with it to halt the corruption, but fortunately, the Lords united to stop her."
"...So what are you going to do now?" Tygris shook his head. The souls of elves are a pri delicacy for the Chaos Evil God, and Beastn, the Children of Chaos, driven by Chaos Will, act solely to fulfill the desires of the Dark Gods.
The High Elf Army felt discomforted by the severe corruption and decay surrounding them, hastening their pace.
"The spread of corruption spares no one. Hence, each territory in Eslelin dispatches its army. We must cleanse the Beastman Tribe from here almost yearly. The endless war pains us and is a race against ti. If we cannot continuously eliminate the corruption and proliferation caused by the Beastn, then one day, the corruption of Anmir will spread throughout the entire Aisloron," Alaros turned to Tygris and said, "Supre Grandmaster, may I ask..."
"Yes?" Tygris recognized Alaros’s desire to speak.
"Can Lilith... help?" Alaros’s eyes sparkled. "Could you convey Eslelin’s request for help and invite her to visit the King’s Forest? We would welco her warmly."
"I don’t know, but given that Queen Airel, the incarnation of Kunos, also has limited solutions," Tygris didn’t want to pursue this further. The Supre Grandmaster gestured for the group to proceed, "I doubt Lilith has a way either. You should seek help from the Lord of Phoenix (Asuyan) or Aisha."
"Oh, oh, alright, I thought so too." Alaros was sowhat disappointed seeing Tygris unwilling to relent. Ever since eting Lilith that day, Alaros had been enraptured, unable to let go.
After walking a little further, they felt vibrations from the ground. A chorus of howls echoed, and vile calls resonated within the forest, with the blaring of filthy horns filling Anmir.
"Beastn! Beastman Warband!" The Female Prophet Lifer was the first to sense the alert, shouting urgently, "Prepare for battle, soldiers of Eslelin!"
"Prepare for battle! Asur!"
